  • Patent number: 11419066
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for wireless communications. A wireless device configured to communicate via beams of one or more cells may report a beam failure using a media access control (MAC) control element (CE) (e.g., a power headroom report (PHR) MAC CE). The MAC CE may also be used to report other information for one or more cells with which the wireless device is associated. Beam failure reporting with a MAC CE may be combined with other beam failure procedures.

  • Patent number: 11416427
Abstract: Information processing is disclosed. For instance, a first polling interval between a current polling operation and a previous polling operation is polled, the first polling interval indicating a time period from an end of the previous polling operation to a start of the current polling operation. An execution status of the current polling operation is obtained, the execution status indicating whether an object to be polled for the current polling operation is obtained. Further, based on the first polling interval and the execution status, a second polling interval is determined between the current polling operation and the next polling operation, the second polling interval indicating a time period from an end of the current polling operation to a start of the next polling operation. In this way, the solution can provide a stable and efficient adaptive polling.

  • Patent number: 11416764
Abstract: Automatically generating and/or automatically transmitting a status of a user. The status is transmitted for presentation to one or more additional users via corresponding computing device(s) of the additional user(s). Some implementations are directed to determining both: a status of a user, and a predicted duration of that status; and generating a status notification that includes the status and that indicates the predicted duration. Some implementations are additionally or alternatively directed to utilizing at least one trust criterion in determining whether to provide a status notification of a user to an additional user and/or in determining what status notification to provide to the additional user. Some implementations are additionally or alternatively directed to training and/or use of machine learning model(s) in determining a status of a user and/or a predicted duration of that status.

  • Patent number: 11416846
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for processing gift transactions, related to retaining a social and gratitude-based experience surrounding giving and receiving gifts, monitoring gift recipients on-premises at merchants and providing gift-related notifications, and managing funds in a gift that the recipient does not redeem. A system configured to practice a first method receives an object associated with a gift, receives a tag associated with the object, and transmits the object to the giver. A system configured to practice a second example method uses face identification at the merchant to identify a recipient of a gift. The system can transmit a reminder to the recipient regarding the gift. In a third example method, the system creates a gift and notifies the recipient of the gift. If the recipient never redeems the gift, then the giver is not charged for the gift and no transaction occurs.

  • Patent number: 11417324
Abstract: Techniques are described for selectively adapting and/or selectively utilizing a noise reduction technique in detection of one or more features of a stream of audio data frames. For example, various techniques are directed to selectively adapting and/or utilizing a noise reduction technique in detection of an invocation phrase in a stream of audio data frames, detection of voice characteristics in a stream of audio data frames (e.g., for speaker identification), etc. Utilization of described techniques can result in more robust and/or more accurate detections of features of a stream of audio data frames in various situations, such as in environments with strong background noise. In various implementations, described techniques are implemented in combination with an automated assistant, and feature(s) detected utilizing techniques described herein are utilized to adapt the functionality of the automated assistant.

  • Patent number: 11419217
Abstract: A power electronic substrate includes a metallic baseplate having a first and second surface opposing each other. An electrically insulative layer also has first and second surfaces opposing each other, its first surface coupled to the second surface of the metallic baseplate. A plurality of metallic traces each include first and second surfaces opposing each other, their first surfaces coupled to the second surface of the electrically insulative layer. At least one of the metallic traces has a thickness measured along a direction perpendicular to the second surface of the metallic baseplate that is greater than a thickness of another one of the metallic traces also measured along a direction perpendicular to the second surface of the metallic baseplate. In implementations the electrically insulative layer is an epoxy or a ceramic material. In implementations the metallic traces are copper and are plated with a nickel layer at their second surfaces.

  • Patent number: 11418509
Abstract: A cloud-based storage architecture provides for the isolation of client data in a distributed manner using a hub-and-spoke account mechanism within the cloud. Individual client data is securely isolated while still providing a master account with access to all data, including providing access from common applications to all of the data. Thus complete client isolation is achieved while simultaneously sharing the code necessary to process the data in the cloud. A separate client account may be maintained for data stored at separate physical locations, such as may be required under various privacy laws and regulations; in this manner, no data is required to leave a specified geopolitical location in order for processing to occur.

  • Patent number: 11418809
Abstract: Innovations for signaling state of a decoded picture buffer (“DPB”) and reference picture lists (“RPLs”). In example implementations, rather than rely on internal state of a decoder to manage and update DPB and RPLs, state information about the DPB and RPLs is explicitly signaled. This permits a decoder to determine which pictures are expected to be available for reference from the signaled state information. For example, an encoder determines state information that identifies which pictures are available for use as reference pictures (optionally considering feedback information from a decoder about which pictures are available). The encoder sets syntax elements that represent the state information. In doing so, the encoder sets identifying information for a long-term reference picture (“LTRP”), where the identifying information is a value of picture order count least significant bits for the LTRB. The encoder then outputs the syntax elements as part of a bitstream.

  • Patent number: 11416608
Abstract: Events within a computer system are grouped in order to identify security threats and, in some cases, perform an action to mitigate the threat. In some aspects, a computing system event that meets a criterion, are identified. A first layer of computing resources is determined which includes computing resources referenced during the computing system event. A second layer of computing resources is then determined, the second layer including one or more of a parent process or file loaded by the first layer processes, a process writing to a file included in the first layer of computing resources, or a previous version of a file included in the first layer of computing resources. Similarities between computing resource pairs in the first and second layers are determined, and a group of high similarity pairs related to each other is identified. In some embodiments, a mitigating action is identified based on the group.
