  • Patent number: 11408744
Abstract: A method, autonomous system controller, and computer program product generate a first route for an autonomous vehicle to transport a first person from a first location to a destination. In response to determining that a second person satisfies trigger criteria comprising: (i) being at a second location that is within a proximity threshold to the first route; (ii) being associated with the first person; and (iii) being associated with the destination, an affordance is caused to be presented via respective user interface devices to at least one of the first and second persons that proposes that the autonomous vehicle transport both the first and second persons to the destination. In response to receiving acceptance, a second route is generated for the autonomous vehicle that comprises picking up the first person at the first location, picking up the second person at the second location, and transporting both persons to the destination.

  • Patent number: 11411937
Abstract: Randomizations of a web page may be generated in advance and provided to a client. The client may store the randomizations in its cache. Multiple randomizations for the same web page may be provided to the client and may be stored in the client's cache. When a request for a web page is made, it is determined if the client has any cached randomizations. Randomizations for the probable next web page to be requested by the client may be provided to the client for storage in the cache. For example, the probability that a link will be clicked or a web site visited may be determined. Those web pages and web sites with higher probabilities may be determined. Randomizations for those web pages are then provided to the client for use.

  • Patent number: 11408504
Abstract: According to one embodiment, a vehicle includes a transmission, a brake pedal, and a controller. The controller is programmed to, in response to an upshift of the transmission, a driver-demanded torque being zero, and the brake pedal being released, command a first pressure, that is greater than zero, to an oncoming shift element associated with the upshift such that the oncoming shift element has a torque capacity of zero, in response to the brake pedal being applied during the upshift of the transmission, command a second, larger pressure to the oncoming shift element to increase the torque capacity to a non-zero value, and, in response to expiration of a threshold time from the brake pedal being applied, command a series of sequentially ramping pressures to the oncoming shift element to further increase the torque capacity and lock the oncoming shift element.

  • Patent number: 11409559
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computer system for identifying, by a computing device, an attribute of a lock object associated with data. It may be determined that the lock object is acquired by a first task performing a transaction with the data based upon, at least in part, the attribute of the lock object. The lock object may be acquired by a second task by releasing the lock object from the first task prior to the transaction with the data being completed, wherein the second task is a higher priority task than the first task.

  • Patent number: 11409641
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are described for mutation testing of database functions. A computing device identifies database functions for testing from at least one database. The computing device generates, for each identified database function, mutated database functions by automatically applying mutations to the identified database function that change aspects of the identified database function. The computing device deploys the mutated database functions to the at least one database. The computing device determines line coverage attributes associated with each mutated database function. The computing device selects tests for execution against each mutated database function based upon the line coverage attributes associated with each mutated database function. The computing device executes the selected tests against each mutated database function using test automation applications to determine an outcome associated with each test.

  • Patent number: 11409792
Abstract: A system and method that provides a rule based randomized media content management system. The system includes a database that stores media content that is associated with category metadata that identifies content of the media content with corresponding categories. Moreover, a programming rules engine generates a list of approved media content based on business rules and a predictive rules engine generates media content selection characteristics based on media display device data and media consumption data associated with the viewer. Furthermore, a media content playlist engine is provided that generates a media content playlist by applying the generated media content selection characteristics to the list of approved media content to select media content, such that the resource consumption by the media display device is minimized by selecting media content that is targeted to the viewer of the media display device according to one or more business rules.

  • Patent number: 11408177
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for manufacturing and using roofing membranes that are faster and easier to install than conventional adhesive-only membrane materials. In some embodiments, membrane materials are surface treated using a plasma flow, e.g., a blown-arc plasma flow, atmospheric plasma, corona plasma, or from portable plasma units, generated by passing a compressed plasma-generating gas through an electrical current to form the plasma-treated roofing membrane. The plasma treatments described herein may be applied as part of the manufacturing process, or in-situ at the site of roof installation. In some embodiments, membrane materials have surface chemistries, roughnesses and other surface characteristics that yield desired adhesion properties.
