Abstract: An apparatus and downhole method for dynamically establishing in situ an arcuate path of up to 90° or more for a jetting hose or other flexible conduit for forming a lateral bore. The apparatus includes a whipstock comprised of one or more arcuate, telescoping segments which enable the operator to avoid the friction pressure and HHP restrictions of smaller diameter hoses, imposed due to the minimum bend radius restrictions encountered when forming the bend radius solely inside the casing of a wellbore. The apparatus can also be used with a Custom Ported Casing Collar. The hose bending path is established immediately behind the jetting nozzle as the lateral borehole is excavated. Upon retrieval of the flexible conduit and excavation device, the arced extension retracts back into the whipstock body, so as not to impede the whipstock's reorientation and/or depth relocation for forming the next mini-lateral.

Abstract: An agricultural vehicle header having a frame having a main truss extending in a lateral direction, at least one support arm extending from the frame in the forward direction, a cutter assembly attached to a respective distal end of each at least one support arm, and a linkage connecting a respective proximal end of each at least one support arm to the frame. The linkage includes a virtual pivot located below the main truss, and at or behind the main truss with respect to the forward direction. An agricultural vehicle having the header is also provided.

Abstract: A device for dispensing liquid onto a target area of a vehicle surface is described, and includes a mixing valve that is in communication with a pressurized fluidic supply system via a fluidic distribution system, and a controller. The mixing valve includes an outlet orifice that is disposed proximal to the target area, and the mixing valve includes first and second valve conduits that are fluidly connected to the outlet orifice via a mixing portion. The first valve conduit includes a first control valve, and the second valve conduit includes a second control valve. The fluidic distribution system includes a first fluidic conduit and a second fluidic conduit. The controller is operatively connected to the fluidic supply system, and the first and second control valves.

Abstract: In accordance with the present disclosure a modular air treatment system is disclosed. The modular air treatment system includes a fan apparatus having a base to removably couple to at least one of an air filter and/or a humidifier, wherein the fan apparatus includes a fan body with at least one convex surface and a nozzle to output air along the at least one convex surface.

Abstract: A system for assisting users in making progress towards the completion of a task by recommending actions is provided. The techniques disclosed herein enable a system to receive user input signals, such as a voice input, a text input or any other type of input comprising phrases indicating a task. The system can then automatically generate recommendations for directing the user to complete the task. The techniques disclosed herein can also identify a contextually-relevant application that is most suitable for completing the identified task. For instance, a user may have several messaging applications. Based on a context of the user's input, and other historical data utilized by one or more machine learning engines, a system can recommend an appropriate application, or provide a ranking of the applications, suitable for completing an identified task. The techniques disclosed herein also employ machine learning engines to improve accuracy of the recommendations over time.

Abstract: A surgical drape adapted to overlay a patient including an opaque sheet having superior region extending to a cephalad end with a fenestration configured to surround a surgical region of the patient, and an inferior region extending from the inferior aspect of the fenestration to a caudal end and having a transparent sheet joined to the patient facing side of the opaque sheet proximate the inferior aspect of the fenestration between opposite opaque sheet first and second edges allowing the inferior portion of the opaque sheet drawn away from the transparent sheet to allow a surgeon visual access to the patient through the transparent sheet.

Abstract: A casing for the thermal management and protection of an electrochemical cell, the casing comprises a first material, an inner surface configured to be in physical contact with an electrochemical cell, wherein the inner surface is substantially solid at room temperature; and a polymer matrix dispersed within the first material and comprising two or more temperature management materials. At least one of the two or more temperature management materials comprise a phase change material having a latent heat of at least 5 Joules per gram and a transition temperature between 0° C. and 100° C., and an elastomeric material. The polymer matrix is substantially homogeneous, and in an environment where the electrochemical cell and a second electrochemical cell operate under the same charging and discharging conditions, the casing reduces a first operating temperature of the electrochemical cell by at least 10° C.

Abstract: A vehicle includes an electric machine having a number of pole pairs, N, a position sensor having a number of pole pairs, M, that generates output indicative of a rotational position of the electric machine, and one or more controllers. The one or more controllers generate a remapped rotational position according to a product of the rotational position and L/N, generate a scaled position according to a product of the remapped rotational position and N/M, and command the electric machine to produce a specified torque or speed based on the scaled position. M is not equal to and not a factor of N, and L is a minimum common multiplier of N and M.

Abstract: Systems and methods of combining digital video are described. A system can receive digital video comprising frames. The system can analyze the frames to identify a subset of consecutive frames that have a static portion defined by a spatial region with matching pixels across two or more frames. The system can tag the digital video with an indication of the subset and a trigger that causes transmission, at a temporal offset during playback prior to the subset, of a request for content used to overwrite the static portion. The system can receive the request from the client device, the request transmitted by the client device based on the temporal offset during playback prior to the subset. The system can select and transmit a content item responsive to the request to cause the client device to render the content item at the static portion of the subset.

Abstract: A messaging system for a live event is described. A processing device presents a live event having at least one participant. The processing device presents one or more participant messages within a messaging user interface associated with the event. The processing device also presents one or more viewer messages within the messaging user interface. The viewer messages are integrated with the participant messages.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for method of detecting when a payment card is in a retail establishment by establishing communication between the payment card and a real-time position tracking system; determining whether one of a plurality of accounts linked to the payment card has been used in one or more prior purchasing transactions in the retail establishment; detecting, movement of the payment card with respect to the individual carrying the payment card while the payment card is in a carrying device carried by the individual; and providing, by the payment card, haptic feedback and visible feedback to the individual carrying the payment card.

Abstract: Some implementations of the disclosure are directed to a media access controller (MAC) of a mobile satellite terminal that may autonomously determine whether or not wake up a software processor of the mobile satellite terminal depending on information contained in a packet received from a user device. The MAC may receive a frame contained in a packet transmitted by a user device to the mobile satellite terminal; automatically determine whether to accept or drop the frame by applying one or more programmed filters to the frame; if the frame is accepted: store the frame in the memory, and cause a power controller to power on the software processor to process the stored frame; and if the frame is not accepted: drop the frame without causing the power controller to power on the software processor.

Abstract: A device that includes pier caps. Each pier cap is configured to couple to a pole that is at least partially embedded below a surface of a ground. The device further includes threaded rods coupled with the pier caps. The device further includes an assembly frame that includes a base plate and coupling arms. The base plate includes a first plurality of openings that are configured to interface with a structure that is installed onto the base plate. The first plurality of openings are configured to allow a position of the structure to be adjusted radially about the base plate. Each coupling arm includes a second plurality of openings that are configured to allow a position of the assembly frame to be adjusted along a horizontal plane.
