Abstract: Macrocyclic gadolinium-based contrast agents (GCA) are synthesized by pathways characterized by the formation of a sequence of metastable complexes before obtaining the final stable complex. Commercial macrocyclic GCAs contain unstable metastable complexes. These metastable species quickly release free Gd3+ ions upon delivery into the body. Aqueous or dry/solid GCA with near zero metastable species content and methods of synthesizing the same are disclosed.

Abstract: A cleaning system of a combine harvester includes a fan, a first valve member positioned within a first duct of the fan for throttling the flow of air through the first duct, a second valve member positioned within the second duct of the fan for throttling the flow of air through the second duct, a first actuator for adjusting a position of the first valve member, a second actuator for adjusting a position of the second valve member, first and second sensors for sensing air pressure at first and second sieves, and a controller. The controller is configured to receive the sensed air pressures from the sensors, compare the sensed air pressures with either each other or threshold values, and transmit instructions to one or both of the actuators to adjust the positions of one or both of the valve members.

Abstract: The patent discloses long-term injectable formulations and delivery systems of cariprazine and related salts and derivatives in the prevention and treatment of various psychotic diseases, such as schizophrenia, mania, and bipolar disorder. The dosage forms are either microsphere, microparticle, nanoparticle drug delivery systems in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, or devices that contain long-term injectable formulation of such cariprazine and related salts and derivatives.

Abstract: An anti-microbial formulation for seed and crop application includes about 170 ppm hypochlorous acid; about 25 ppm hypochlorite ion; about 2.5 ppm ozone; about 2.5 ppm chlorine dioxide; between about 10 ppm and about 100,000 ppm alkyl polyglycoside; and a remainder of water. A method of manipulating the pH of the formulation and a method of treating seeds and crops with the formulation to restrict or eliminate microbial growth and proliferation is also described herein.

Abstract: Systems, devices and methods to improve safety and efficiency in an operating room comprise providing a suture package that holds new suture needles and needle receptacles for storing used needles. The devices can be safely worn for the surgeon to self-dispense new suture needles in the near surgical field and to secure the used needles into a needle trap or a needle retainer located on his extremity, on his operative instruments or on the surgical drapes. The device may provide automated and/or simplified needle counting both during use and after removal from the surgical field. The device may be configured for ergonomic and efficient use so as to minimize the actions and motions of the surgeon to dispense and secure the needle.

Abstract: A method and system for configuring a fifth generation (5G) network may include utilizing software-defined networking (SDN) for separating a data plane from a control plane of a 5G network. The separated control plane may be run across a low earth orbit (LEO) system between an edge network and a core network of the 5G network such that the LEO system exclusively directs the control plane. A pathway for the data plane may be determined and generated by the LEO system exclusively using the control plane. In some examples, SDN control may be established exclusively on a LEO system based on a service request. A pathway for the data plane from a first location to a second location may be determined and generated based on the service request and the control of the control plane on the LEO system.

Abstract: An electronic sideline marker for use in football comprises a first display configured to display an indication of a down and a second display configured to display one or more timers. The second display may be configured to display a play clock, a go-clock, and/or a throw-clock. A play clock may first be displayed, and the marker may then receive an indication (e.g., a button press) that the football has been snapped, at which point display of the play clock may be replaced with display of a go-clock. The marker may be configured to output indications when the play clock, go-clock, and/or throw-clock expire. The marker may be configured to electronically communicate with one or more other markers for use in the football game, or one or more other remote electronic devices such as sensors in flag football belts, flags, and/or footballs.

Abstract: A mount for a handheld electronic device is adapted to be attached to a flat vertical glossy environmental surface, such as a mirror, with suction cups. A shelf with an upwardly concave center section holds electronic devices of various sizes and will hold an electronic device in a vertical orientation even if the mount is attached to the mirror at a small angle to the vertical. The shelf may hold the electronic device in either portrait or landscape orientation. The shelf permits a cable to be plugged into the bottom of the electronic device by being routed through a central notch in the shelf and an opening in a lip.

Abstract: A visited session management function of a visited public land mobile network (PLMN) sends, to a home session management function of a home PLMN of a wireless device, a request of the wireless device for a packet data unit, PDU, session in a network slice. The visited session management function receives, from the home session management function, a cause value indicating that a network slice quota of the home PLMN has been reached for a number of PDU sessions for the network slice.

Abstract: A method of performing a system watchdog operation of a data processing system using a system watchdog timer includes creating an initial question, starting a timer of the system watchdog timer, receiving an initial answer and an initial data code, calculating an expected data code in response to the initial question, and comparing the initial data code to the expected data code. In response to a mismatch between the initial data code and the expected data code, a bus error signal is generated. In response to a match, the initial answer is compared to the initial question, and in response to a match between the initial answer and the initial question, the timer is reset and the initial data code is stored as a subsequent question, but in response to a mismatch, a remedial action of the data processing system is performed.

Abstract: Impact dissipating helmet liners and protective barriers having internal cylindrical posts or pins are provided. The helmet liners and protective barriers include a flexible, fluid impermeable enclosure having an upper wall, an opposing lower wall, and a sidewall extending between the upper wall and the lower wall; a fluid contained in the enclosure; and cylindrical posts or pins extending from the lower wall to the upper wall, each of the cylindrical posts or pins at least partially restraining deflection of one of the upper wall and the lower wall. The helmet liners provided may include a central portion and lobes radially extending from the central portion and are adapted to conform to the shape of a helmet shell. The protective barriers disclosed may be constructed in any convenient shape compatible with the intended application of the protective barrier. Methods of fabricating helmet liners and protective barriers are also provided.

Abstract: A digital media encoder/decoder uses a flexible quantization technique that provides the ability to vary quantization along various dimensions of the encoded digital media data, including spatial, frequency sub bands and color channels. The codec utilizes a signaling scheme to signal various permutations of flexible quantization combinations efficiently for primary usage scenarios. When a choice of quantizer is available, the codec efficiently encodes the current quantizer by defining a subset of quantizers and indexes the current quantizer from the set.

Abstract: A system for generating a nourishment program includes a computing device configured to retrieve a nociception parameter, classify the nociception parameter to a nociception grouping, identify, using the nociception grouping, a plurality of nutrition elements, wherein identifying the plurality of nutrition elements includes generating a plurality of nutritional metrics associated with reduction of nociception as a function of the nociception grouping, determining a respective effect of each nutritional metric of the plurality of nutritional metrics on the nociception parameter, calculating at least a nutritional level as a function of the respective effect of each nutritional metric, wherein the at least a nutritional level comprises an amount intended to address the nociception parameter, and identifying the plurality of nutrition elements as a function of the at least a nutritional level, and generate a nociception nourishment program using the plurality of nutrition elements.

Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to dynamically and temporarily adjusting power to an NFC reader of a computing device from a first power level to a second power level based on a feedback mechanism between a contactless card and the computing device. The contactless card may provide a message containing a checksum. The computing device may receive the message and calculate a checksum based on the received message. By comparing these two checksums, it may be determined whether the entire message has been correctly received. If not, the power to the NFC reader may be temporarily increased to allow better communication between the contactless card and the computing device.

Abstract: One method embodiment comprises storing data on a storage system that is representative of a point cloud comprising a very large number of associated points; organizing the data into an octree hierarchy of data sectors, each of which is representative of one or more of the points at a given octree mesh resolution; receiving a command from a user of a user interface to present an image based at least in part upon a selected viewing perspective origin and vector; and assembling the image based at least in part upon the selected origin and vector, the image comprising a plurality of data sectors pulled from the octree hierarchy, the plurality of data sectors being assembled such that sectors representative of points closer to the selected viewing origin have a higher octree mesh resolution than that of sectors representative of points farther away from the selected viewing origin.
