Abstract: A carton for packaging one or more articles includes an extendible handle. The handle includes at least one handle panel and a collapsible structure. The collapsible structure couples the at least one handle panel to a main body of the carton. The collapsible structure comprises a pair of hinged panels. The hinged panels include an inner panel hingedly connected by a first fold line to an outer panel. The inner panel is hingedly connected to the main body of the carton. The outer panel is hingedly connected to the at least one handle panel. The collapsible tubular structure further includes an expansion facilitator which has at least one tab coupled to one of the inner and outer panels. The at least one tab interrupts the first fold line.
Abstract: An integrated arc flash safety system and methods for remote access control and safety compliance. An electronic access control system may comprise an enclosure having a door, a door lock device, an electronic access control unit, and an arc sensor. The access controller comprises electronic hardware and software for sensor/detection operation, door lock device operation, door lock actuation, and wireless remote communication. The door lock device may be controlled by the access controller in combination with the arc sensor. The access controller may facilitate remote access control via a smart mobile computing device (e.g., mobile phone) and telecommunication with a remote cloud server via a communication network (e.g., Internet). Embodiments of the present disclosure enable rapid detection of an arc flash precondition or event within an enclosure and warning generation as well as protection and standard compliance measures to improve technician safety.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for improving throughput and reliability in a wireless network. In one embodiment, the apparatus and methods provide mechanisms for wireless user device buffer management that mitigate buffer overflow within the device due to overscheduling, such as from different networks with which the device is connected simultaneously. In one variant, a 3GPP-based signaling architecture from wireless device to the multiple networks is provided to enable user device-controlled management buffer overflow. In another variant, potentially buffer-demanding (e.g., HARQ) process management and prioritization rules are defined to avoid buffer overflow. In other variant, buffer size computation is provided considering the number of networks to which the wireless user device can connect.
Abstract: A product can be packaged by arranging the product on a support, providing a plastic film above the support with the product arranged between the support and the film sheet, and air tightly fixing the film to the support. The process can be implemented using an apparatus that includes a film supply assembly and a base equipment having an upper side defining one or more receiving areas, each being configured for receiving a respective product loaded support; an upper tool is configured for holding a film portion above the product loaded support and then heat sealing the film portion to the product loaded support. Each receiving area has a flat portion and elongated features protruding above the plane of flat portion.

Abstract: A process includes: (a) providing an initial cellulose ether powder containing 0.5 to 10 weight-percent water based on total cellulose ether powder weight; (b) heating the initial cellulose ether powder to a temperature in a range of 30 to 130 degrees Celsius; (c) before, during and/or after heating in step (b), adding solid base to the cellulose ether powder and mixing with the initial cellulose ether powder to form a cellulose ether/base mixture; (d) adding volatile acid to the cellulose ether/base mixture and mixing; and (e) allowing the volatile acid to hydrolyze the initial cellulose ether to form a final cellulose ether having a lower viscosity than the initial cellulose ether.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system may access a first mask associated with a first color component and a first pixel in an image, and a second mask associated with a second color component and a second pixel in the image. The system may access first component values of the first color component in a first pixel region containing the first pixel, and second component values of the second color component in a second pixel region containing the second pixel. The system may modify the first component values using the first mask, and the second component values using the second mask. The system may cause the modified first and second component values to be displayed by light-emitting elements of the first and second color components. The first and second masks may be generated based on relative positions of the first light-emitting elements and the second light-emitting elements.
Abstract: To facilitate improved email and device security, embodiments of systems and methods include intercepting, by a processor associated with an entity, an internet request, where the internet request is produced by a link received in an email at a first computing device. The processor determines that the link is externally bound relative to an entity network. The processor determines an existence of a sandbox environment instance in a set of existing sandbox environment instances. The processor routes the link through the sandbox environment instance. The processor updates the sandbox log in the database based on the sandbox environment instance and the link. The processor causes to display on a screen of the first computing device a user interface for interacting with the link in the sandbox environment instance, and the processor logs activities associated with interacting with the link in a security log.
