Abstract: Applicant's Smartphone application provides ticket-holding patrons an alternative, digital means of verifying personal identification at entry to a venue or event. The Smartphone application periodically generates a unique QR code (barcode) that contains a unique identifier (i.e., mobile device ID) which prompts the venue/event entry system to recognize the patron. No barcode (serving as a ticket, or authentication/verification, or otherwise) is downloaded from the system server to the Smartphone/mobile device client in contrast to prior art systems.

Abstract: Various examples are directed to systems and methods for routing an autonomous vehicle. A vehicle autonomy system may generate first route data describing a first route for the autonomous vehicle to a first target location and control the autonomous vehicle using the first route data. The vehicle autonomy system may determine that the autonomous vehicle is within a threshold of the first target location and select a second target location associated with at least a second stopping location. The vehicle autonomy system may generate second route data describing a route extension of the first route from the first target location to the second target location and control the autonomous vehicle using the second route data.

Abstract: Processor systems to estimate audience sizes and impression counts for different frequency intervals are disclosed. An example processor system includes a memory management unit (MMU) to assign requests from computing devices indicative of accesses to media to a first block of memory and to assign user-identified impression data corresponding to user-identified impressions to a second block of memory. The processor system including an arithmetic logic unit (ALU) to determine multipliers relating a first probability distribution for the user-identified impressions to a second probability distribution for census impressions. The multipliers based on probability constraints defined by weighted probabilities associated with the second probability distribution, where different ones of the probabilities weighted based on estimated populations for corresponding ones of the different demographics.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for routing event data from cloud-based sources to various service providers without using a permanently dedicated server (or similar solution). The solution disclosed herein is source agnostic, meaning that the data being received can be from any provider of cloud-based data, with the data received being in a format specific to the given provider. The system can normalize the data from the respective sources into a common format based on properties on the data and, based on the normalized data, identify what type of analysis, process, or other service should be executed on data received. The system can then forward the data to respective service providers for the execution of those services.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an optical engine includes bonding a plurality of laser diodes directly or indirectly to a base substrate and coupling at least one laser diode driver circuit to the laser diodes. In operation the at least one laser diode driver circuit selectively drives current to the laser diodes. The method further includes bonding a plurality of collimation lenses to the base substrate proximate the plurality of laser diodes and bonding a cap including at least one wall and at least one optical window to the base substrate. The method also includes bonding a grating waveguide combiner proximate the optical window of the cap. In operation, the grating waveguide combiner receives a plurality of beams of light at a respective plurality of input grating couplers and combines the plurality of beams of light to provide a collimated aggregated beam of light at an output grating coupler.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus are described providing networking engines. Specifically, the present specification relates to a method for implementing software containers implementing network engines that may be configured to act in a zero-knowledge environment. In such implementations, all information pertaining to the network engine associated with a user that is stored in the container is solely that of a user unless explicitly shared by the user. In some implementations, the containers may be configured to participate in a publish-and-subscribe network in order to share information. In addition, the containers may be provisioned with controls so that global operators may comply with local privacy rules.

The generation module is configured to obtain a playing assistance information having an accompaniment pattern from the analysis module, wherein the accompaniment pattern has at least two parts having different onsets therebetween, and each onsets of the at least two parts is generated by an algorithm according to the set of audio features. The musical equipment includes a digital amplifier configured to output an accompaniment signal according to the accompaniment pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a composition comprising (a) a vinylidene chloride/methyl acrylate interpolymer having greater than 6 wt % methyl acrylate mer units in the interpolymer, (b) greater than 6 wt % of an epoxy plasticizer; and (c) less than 4 wt % of an acrylate polymer. The composition exhibits a crystallization time greater than 25 minutes to crystallization at 35° C. Films made from the present composition show improved processability and find advantageous application as permeable barrier film for food packaging, for specialty food packaging, and for gassy cheese.

Abstract: An improved plunger lift assembly, system, and method that can be used in all types of oil and gas wells including those of vertical, highly-deviated, S-curved, or horizontal bores is described. The plunger lift assembly can be part of a plunger lift system used to lift fluid formations out of a wellbore having a production tubing with a drift diameter. The plunger lift assembly may include a mandrel having a chamber, an elastic sealing mechanism, and a shift rod. The sealing mechanism can be disposed about an exterior of the mandrel. The sealing mechanism may be activated by at least one of pressure in the mandrel chamber and vertical force from movement of the mandrel. The shift rod can control fluid flow through the mandrel chamber.

Abstract: An optical lens assembly and a head-mounted display (HMD) is provided. The optical lens assembly includes a first optical element including a partial reflector and a quarter-wave plate, a second optical element including a reflective polarizer, and a varifocal lens disposed inside a cavity formed by the first optical element and the second optical element. The varifocal lens is a liquid crystal (LC) lens stack including a plurality of LC lenses. An LC lens of the plurality of the LC lenses has a plurality of optical states including an additive state that adds optical power to the varifocal lens and a subtractive state that removes optical power from the varifocal lens. The plurality of optical states provides a range of adjustment of optical power for the optical lens assembly.
