Abstract: An imaging system may include an electronic shutter. The electronic shutter may be positioned between an image sensor and a lens module or may be integrated as a package cover for the image sensor. The electronic shutter may selectively attenuate incident light that passes to the image sensor. To increase the dynamic range of the imaging system, the electronic shutter may have a first transparency while a first image is captured by the image sensor and a second, different transparency while a second image is captured by the image sensor. The first and second images are subsequently combined to form a single high dynamic range image. The electronic shutter may be controlled at a global level, at a sub-array level, or at a pixel level.

Abstract: Noise reduction in a robot system includes the use of a gesture library that pairs noise profiles with gestures that can be performed by the robot. A gesture to be performed by the robot is obtained, and the robot performs the gesture. The robot's performance of the gesture creates noise, and when a user speaks to the robot while the robot performs a gesture, incoming audio includes both user audio and robot noise. A noise profile associated with the gesture is retrieved from the gesture library and is applied to remove the robot noise from the incoming audio.

Abstract: A method for recovering a lithium electrolyte salt from spent batteries comprises first extracting electrolyte from shredded batteries (e.g., spent batteries at the end of their useful lifetime) with an organic carbonate solvent; concentrating the extracted electrolyte in vacuo to form a solid lithium electrolyte salt that is solvated with the organic carbonate; and then extracting solvent from the solvated, solid lithium electrolyte salt with supercritical CO2 to purify the lithium electrolyte salt sufficiently for reuse in lithium batteries. In the first extraction, the organic carbonate solvent is selected based on the solubility of the lithium electrolyte salt in the solvent, as well as the volatility of the solvent to facilitate the concentration process. The supercritical CO2 is preferably held at a pressure in the range of about 1,500 to about 30,000 psi and is passed through a bed or column of the solvated salt.

Abstract: A housewrap is a multi-layer drainage wrap. A nonwoven base web has a three-dimensional pattern embossed therein on one surface of the web. This embossed web is then extrusion coated with a polymer coating. The coating is extrusion-coated on to embossed side of the nonwoven base web. The nonwoven base web has the three-dimensionally embossed and coated side as its outward facing surface. The coated base web is then activated by stretching to provide moisture vapor permeance at a rate that allows a building to breathe. The result is a housewrap that is textured on both the inside and outside faces of the housewrap. The texture and weather resistive coating on exterior side facilitates both drainage of water off of the outside face of the housewrap and the circulation of air and moisture around and through the inside face of the housewrap and promotes a tighter seal and better adhesion to flashing tapes reducing further the points of entry for water into the structure.

The load control device comprises a controllably conductive device, a controller for rendering the controllably conductive device conductive and non-conductive, and a Wi-Fi module operable to receive the RF signals directly from the wireless network. The controller may cooperate with one or more other devices to synchronize in time the adjustments made by one or more load control devices that are operable to control the power delivered to one or more electrical loads. The one or more load control devices may also cooperate with one or more Internet based information providers to provide preconfigured and condition based adjustments of the one or more electrical loads.

The controller is programmable to evaluate a plurality of successive changes in temperature of said heat distribution element, and a value of each temperature change between each of said plurality of successive changes in temperature to determine if a fluid temperature in said processing chamber is equal to a target temperature.
