Abstract: A luggage system includes a housing assembly defining one or more luggage compartments therein. The housing assembly has a first outer surface that defines a seat. A frame assembly is positionable at or adjacent to the seat to couple the frame assembly to the housing assembly. The frame assembly defines a slot therein. The frame assembly has a frame surface that defines a charging pad. The charging pad faces an upward direction when the frame assembly is coupled to the housing assembly. A power bank is insertable into the slot for wirelessly charging one or more electronic devices positioned at or adjacent to the charging pad. The luggage system enables one or more power banks or batteries to be transported in an effective, convenient, and safe manner.

Abstract: A vascular implant for replacing a native heart valve comprises a self expanding stent supporting a valve body having leaflets. The stent preferably comprises an anchoring structure configured to prevent the implant from passing through the valve annulus. For delivery, the implant is compacted within delivery device and secured at one end. During delivery the implant is partially released from the delivery device, and positioning of the implant can be verified prior to full release. The implant can be at least partially resheathed and repositioned if desired.
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, embodiments that include accessing a group of user controlled mobile equipment access point names in response to the device detecting a user controlled mobile equipment access point name elementary file (EF_UMEAPN) stored in a memory of a universal integrated circuit card (UICC). An operator stores access point name information and the access point name information comprises the EF_UMEAPN. Further embodiments include configuring the device according to the group of user controlled mobile equipment access point names. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to methods and systems for treating irrigation water by introducing a propagating electromagnetic field into the irrigation water as it flows through an irrigation system. The treatments described herein may have a variety of beneficial effects on the water, including a significant increase in the percentage of the water that is maintained in the root zone of a given crop as plant-available water and the essential mineral, e.g. calcium and/or magnesium, uptake of that crop.
Abstract: Damper systems selectively reduce coolant fluid flow in nuclear reactor passive cooling systems, including related RVACS. Systems include a damper that blocks the flow in a coolant conduit and is moveable to open, closed, and intermediate positions. The damper blocks the coolant flow when closed to prevent heat loss, vibration, and development of large temperature gradients, and the damper passively opens, to allow full coolant flow, at failure and in transient scenarios. The damper may be moveable by an attachment extending into the coolant channel that holds the damper in a closed position. When a transient occurs, the resulting loss of power and/or overheat causes the attachment to stop holding the damper, which may be driven by gravity, pressure, a spring, or other passive structure into the open position for full coolant flow. A power source and temperature-dependent switch may detect and stop holding the damper closed in such scenarios.

Abstract: Each disk drive in an array includes a housing that encloses a motor and at least one magnetic disk. The housing also encloses first and second actuators each with respective first and second heads that independently access the magnetic disk. Abstract: A portable brim can be securely attached to and operate with various helmets such as bicycle, skateboarding, snow sport, mountain/rock climbing, equestrian, and paddlesport helmets as well as hard hats used in construction, utility maintenance, material moving, dock loading, and airport baggage handling, to give the wearer shade and protection from the sun. The brim apparatus includes a center section having a size for fitting about a circumference of the sports helmet and a visor outwardly or radially extending from the center section. In one brim apparatus the center section features a stop surface that opposes an upper surface of the visor when the apparatus is affixed to the headgear such that the visor is prohibited from flipping upwards or sliding down or coming off during use.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are circumcision devices, and methods of using the same, said devices having a protective cover over the glans after the device is placed onto the penis to protect during ligation, while also having a pull tab for more easily removing the protective cover after ligation. Furthermore, the devices disclosed herein can include a protective notch to prevent harm to the urethra and frenulum and a system to align the protective notch over the urethra and frenulum during placement of the device onto the penis.
Abstract: Various disclosed embodiments include methods of locating an intended passenger of an automotive vehicle and vehicle-based systems for locating an intended passenger of an automotive vehicle. In an illustrative embodiment, a method of locating an intended passenger of an automotive vehicle includes: moving an automotive vehicle to an approximate location of an intended passenger based on a location signal from the intended passenger received via a wireless network; after moving to the approximate location of the intended passenger, receiving, by the vehicle, an image from an electronic device of the intended passenger, the image being an image of the intended passenger or an image of local physical surroundings of the intended passenger; processing the image to determine additional location information of the intended passenger based on matching the image against one or more reference images; and accepting by the vehicle, the intended passenger responsive to the image processing.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a system receives an initial reference line representing a route from a first location to a second location associated with an autonomous driving vehicle (ADV), where the initial reference line includes a number of reference line segments. The system smooths the line segments by applying a quadratic programming (QP) spline smoothing algorithm to the line segments. The system determines that the QP spline smoothing algorithm for the line segments fails to converge. The system adjusts (or enumerates) a location of an end point of a line segment. The system smooths the line segments by applying a QP spline smoothing algorithm to the adjusted (or enumerated) line segments. The system generates a smoothed reference line based on the smoothed line segments to be used as a reference line of the route to control the ADV.
