  • Patent number: 11380939
Abstract: A hybrid lithium ion capacitor battery and method of making the same is disclosed. The hybrid lithium ion capacitor battery includes a positive electrode separated from a negative electrode by a separator layer. A first activated carbon layer is disposed between the separator layer and one of the positive and negative electrodes. The first activated carbon layer is coated on a first surface of the separator layer. A second activated carbon layer is disposed between the separator layer and the other of the positive and negative electrodes. The second activated carbon layer is coated on a second surface of the separator layer. A first current collector coextensively contacts the first electrode and a second current collector coextensively contacts the second electrode. An electrolytic solution carries lithium cations between the positive and negative electrodes through the activated carbon coated separator layer.

  • Patent number: 11380080
Abstract: An object recognition ingestion system is presented. The object ingestion system captures image data of objects, possibly in an uncontrolled setting. The image data is analyzed to determine if one or more a priori know canonical shape objects match the object represented in the image data. The canonical shape object also includes one or more reference PoVs indicating perspectives from which to analyze objects having the corresponding shape. An object ingestion engine combines the canonical shape object along with the image data to create a model of the object. The engine generates a desirable set of model PoVs from the reference PoVs, and then generates recognition descriptors from each of the model PoVs. The descriptors, image data, model PoVs, or other contextually relevant information are combined into key frame bundles having sufficient information to allow other computing devices to recognize the object at a later time.

  • Patent number: 11379431
Abstract: A system for write optimization in transactional data management systems is described. The system stores a tree data structure that comprises a root, a plurality of internal nodes, and a plurality of leaf nodes. Each internal node comprises a pivot key and a child pointer. Each leaf node stores key-value pairs sorted by a corresponding key. The system forms a plurality of hybrid nodes. The hybrid nodes comprise a layer of internal nodes that are immediate parents of the plurality of leaf nodes. A buffer is formed only for each internal node of the plurality of hybrid nodes. The buffer is used to store a message that encodes an operation. The message is to be applied to the corresponding leaf nodes of the plurality of hybrid nodes.

Abstract: A diagnostic system is provided and includes a plurality of processors configured to receive data acquired by a sensor. A first processor can execute a safety function that determines a plurality of sensor measurement from the received data, compares selected sensor measurements to predetermined alarm set points, and determines a safety function output for the selected sensor measurements based upon the sensor measurement comparison. A second processor can determine a shadow function output corresponding to the safety function outputs during different respective portions a diagnostic interval. The shadow function output can be configured to replicate the safety function output under conditions where the safety function output is free from error. A third processor can be configured to validate the safety function output by comparing the safety function output to its corresponding shadow function output and outputting a condition based upon the validation comparison.

  • Patent number: 11380420
Abstract: A system is described for constructing a biological simulation using inputs from a knowledge base data structure and one or more templates. The knowledge base data structure comprises a set of entries representing distinct molecules and chemical reactions specific within the cell. Each template defines a sub-model program specification and a set of sub-model parameters to further characterize the sub-model specification. A graphical user interface is presented on a display for a user to view and select a templates and to assign information from the knowledge base to the selected template. From the graphical user interface, the user selects multiple templates to be included in the simulation and information from the knowledge base generally describing the cell. Based on the information selected from the graphical user interface, a compiler generates a simulation configuration data file comprising computer code capable of being executed by a simulation engine.
