Abstract: A reaming apparatus for reaming pipe may include a body having a planar front surface, an annular groove defined in the planar front surface of the body and concentric with a center of the body, and a straight groove defined in the planar front surface of the body, radially aligned with the center of the body, and intersecting the annular groove. The straight groove may pass through the center of the body. The reaming apparatus may include a reaming blade having a planar front surface and at least one notch defined in the planar front surface of the reaming blade, the at least one notch being positioned on the reaming blade to substantially align with the annular groove when the reaming blade is disposed within the straight groove. The reaming apparatus can be removably mounted to a pulley of a bandsaw to ream pipe under the power of the bandsaw.

Abstract: A light fixture for waveguided ambient light is described herein. In one embodiment, the light fixture includes an LED light source for emitting light rays, a waveguide optically coupled to the LED light source to receive and guide the emitted light rays from a proximal end of the waveguide to a distal end of the waveguide, a first indirect lighting surface configured to receive a first portion of the emitted light rays and reflect the first portion at a first distribution to produce a first ambient light source, and a second indirect lighting surface configured to receive a second portion of the emitted light rays and reflect the second portion at a second distribution to produce a second ambient light source.

Abstract: Using a camera or other tracking hardware, the attention of a player of a computer game (based on gaze direction, for instance) is tracked at key/predetermined points during game play. For example, when the player enters a new area in the game such as a simulated room, town, etc., it is determined what the player's gaze focuses on more, e.g., a dog huddled in the corner, a nobleman with obvious signs of wealth, or a shifty appearing figure in the shadows. Based on this input, one or more factors of future gameplay are determined, such as an order in which to present encounters/challenges, adjusting a character's “morality” score/flag, adjusting bonuses/penalties to non-player character (NPC) interactions, etc.

Abstract: Devices and methods for internet of things (IOT) discovery/auto discovery are described. A discovery packet is received from a device. The discovery packet includes a first stream identifier and a request to establish a second stream. A stream acceptance packet is sent to the device. The stream acceptance packet includes the first stream identifier and an input for generating a second stream identifier. A first association is added to the registration based on the request to establish the second stream. The first association is between the second stream identifier and a determined destination. A first data packet is received from the device, where the first data packet includes/utilizes the second stream identifier. The first data packet is sent to the destination based on the first association in the registration.

Abstract: A prismatic lithium ion battery cell includes a packaging having a cover sealed to a can, wherein the cover includes a reversal disk. A conductive member is disposed above the reversal disk and a power assembly is disposed within the packaging. A first terminal pad and a second terminal pad are disposed above the conductive member and respectively coupled to the power assembly. The reversal disk is configured to deflect upwards and to displace the conductive member to contact the first and second terminal pads in response to a pressure within the packaging being greater than a first predefined pressure threshold and thereby form an external short-circuit between the first and second terminal pads via the conductive member. Subsequently, a portion of the power assembly fails in response to the external short-circuit and interrupts current flow between the first and second terminal pads.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to counseling a user with respect to supervised content. In particular, the methods and systems of the present disclosure may: determine, based at least in part on one or more machine learning (ML) models, that one or more interfaces displayed to a user include content of a content type designated by a content supervisor of the user for identification; and, responsive to determining that the interface(s) include content of the content type, generate data representing a graphical user interface (GUI) for presentation to the user, the GUI indicating detection of the content of the content type and comprising educational material counseling the user with respect to the content type.

The system comprises a database for storing transaction data received from participating lenders and a data retrieval and processing engine for receiving transaction data including a first transaction status code and one or more transaction attributes for a pending transaction from a first participating lender; storing the first transaction status code in association with the transaction attribute(s) in the database; receiving a transaction verification request comprising at least one of the transaction attribute(s) from a second, different participating lender; determining one or more risk alerts for the at least one of the transaction attribute(s) based on the first transaction status code and one or more prior transaction status codes previously stored in the database in association with said attribute; and transmit said risk alert(s) to the second participating lender.

Abstract: A hybrid lens includes a transmissive adaptive liquid lens and an optical element including liquid crystals. The adaptive liquid lens includes a layer of optical fluid on a substrate. A focal length of the adaptive liquid lens is adjustable. The optical element including liquid crystals is optically coupled with the adaptive liquid lens. The optical element including liquid crystals is configured to adjust a refractive index across the optical element including liquid crystals in conjunction with adjusting the focal length of the adaptive liquid lens so that the optical element reduces optical artifacts caused by the adaptive liquid lens.

The head includes first and second tabs protruding rearwardly from the rearward face of the transverse wall, with the transverse wall defining at least one inner pocket member opening disposed between first and second outer pocket member openings on the respective tabs. A first rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the first tab, a second rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the at least one inner pocket member opening, and a third rearwardmost pocket-supporting edge of the second tab may lie on an arc shape that is more curved than the curved shape of the transverse wall, to provide a cylindrically-shaped pocket channel. Each sidewall may have a rearward lower edge portion that extends generally parallel to the horizontal centerline and an intermediate lower edge portion that rapidly descends to a lowest point, to enhance the sweet spot of the head.

For instance, where a communications resource is being used by a device via a first communications service provider (CSP) component associated with a first CSP, based on a probabilistic analysis of loading parameters received from a device at the first CSP component. A likelihood that the device will move can be predicted, comprising determining the likelihood is not less than a threshold likelihood. If likely to move, and based on the loading parameters, a loading profile associated with a user of the device is updated resulting in updated likelihoods of usages of the communication resource by the device via respective other CSP components other than the first CSP component. Further, based on the updated likelihoods of usages of the communication resource, at least part of the communications resource can be allocated to the respective other CSP components to facilitate communications with the device.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a lidar system includes a light source configured to emit pulses of light and a scanner configured to scan at least a portion of the emitted pulses of light along a scan pattern contained within an adjustable field of regard. The scanner includes a first scanning mirror configured to scan the portion of the emitted pulses of light substantially parallel to a first scan axis to produce multiple scan lines of the scan pattern, where each scan line is oriented substantially parallel to the first scan axis. The scanner also includes a second scanning mirror configured to distribute the scan lines along a second scan axis that is substantially orthogonal to the first scan axis, where the scan lines are distributed within the adjustable field of regard according to an adjustable second-axis scan profile.
