Abstract: According to examples, a tunable visible light source may include a periodically poled lithium niobate (PPLN) waveguide and a control mechanism to optimize the phase-matching of the PPLN waveguide in response to an input signal with a varied wavelength. The control mechanism may include an electro-optic (EO) tuning mechanism, a microheater-based thermo-optic (TO) control mechanism, and/or an acousto-optic (AO) control mechanism. The control mechanisms may, respectively, generate an electric field, heat, or an acoustic wave to affect a change in refractive index of the PPLN waveguide and thereby optimize the conversion efficiency to maximize the output power of the output wavelength of the PPLN waveguide as the input wavelength is tuned.

Abstract: A base station may transmit, to a first wireless device, a timing offset indicator indicating an offset, in slots, between a sidelink feedback resource and an uplink feedback resource. The base station may receive, from the first wireless device and in an uplink slot, a sidelink feedback report. A first sidelink feedback resource within a sidelink slot may be at a time indicated by the offset from a second sidelink feedback resource for a sidelink transport block transmitted by the first wireless device to a second wireless device. The uplink slot may overlap with the first sidelink feedback resource in time, and the uplink slot may be a last uplink feedback slot overlapping with the first sidelink feedback resource.

Abstract: A closure for a container is provided with a top portion and a skirt depending from an outer periphery of the top portion. A generally circular rim extends downwards from the lower surface of the top portion. A liner is attached to the closure between an outer surface of the rim and an inner surface of the skirt. The liner is configured to provide a fluid tight seal for containers having varied neck dimensions and/or profiles. One or more projections extend into a space formed between the lower surface of the top portion, an inner surface of the skirt, and an outer surface of the rim, with the liner enveloping and being supported in the closure by the one or more projections.

Abstract: A control system for an engine comprising an electric turbocharger and a wastegate is presented. The system is configured to variably open and close to control the flow of exhaust gas in an exhaust system of the engine at a turbine of the electric turbocharger; and a controller that obtains parameters including an exhaust flow rate through the exhaust system. The controller uses the parameters to (i) determine a desired speed of the electric turbocharger to satisfy no flow of the exhaust gas through the turbine; (ii) command the electric turbocharger to rotate in a reverse direction at the desired speed to achieve no flow of the exhaust gas through the turbine; (iii) determine whether an exhaust gas treatment system (ETS) has reached a desired temperature; and (iv) command the electric turbocharger to rotate in a forward direction based on the ETS reaching the desired temperature.
Abstract: A tire pressure and location monitoring system includes N tire pressure sensors associated with N tires of a vehicle, where N is an integer greater than one. A tire pressure and location monitoring system is configured to communicate with the N tire pressure sensors, store a tire rotation map, and determine whether new locations of the N tires, including the N tire pressure sensors, on the vehicle are correct after a tire rotation is performed based on the tire rotation map.

Abstract: A modular sign system is provided comprising a casing for holding a replaceable message therewithin; the casing is configured to be attached to a generally vertical surface, such as a wall or fence, in an urban environment where other means to display a sign are unavailable. The modular sign replaces expensive signs that require specialized stamping or printing and are typically unchangeable, except at great costs, after manufacture. In the present invention a shell is purchased, which can be customized and then easily changed, and allows a modular installation of an inexpensively printed sign card that can be removed and replaced with another message card, from the system without removing the sign from its fixed position, as needed. The shell can be made of molded plastic and can be configured to be attached using cable ties or other flexible connectors and can include elements to protect the replaceable card from weather, vandalism and theft.
