Abstract: A method of operating a three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing apparatus selects operational parameters for operation of the printer to form conductive metal traces on substrates with dimensions within appropriate tolerances and with sufficient conductive material to carry electrical currents without burning up or becoming too hot. The method identifies the material of the substrate and the bulk metal being melted for ejection and uses this identification data to select the operational parameters. Thus, the method can form conductive traces and circuits on a wide range of substrate materials including polymeric substrates, semiconductor materials, oxide layers on semiconductor materials, glass, and other crystalline materials.

Abstract: Some methods enable a computer to receive location information from a device and determine a coverage region for the device. The device's coverage region is the area within range of a wireless signal coming from the device. The computer can determine that part of the device's coverage region covers part of a specified region and instruct the device to provide wireless access to a network associated with the first region.

Abstract: Systems and methods for estimating a state of charge of a hearing aid rechargeable battery for rapid user feedback and charge management are provided. The method includes detecting a rechargeable battery of a hearing aid received at a battery charger. The method includes retrieving a last state of charge (SoC) of the rechargeable battery and a time in use of the rechargeable battery. The time in use is a time the hearing aid is out of the battery charger. The method includes estimating a current state of charge (SoC) of the rechargeable battery based on the last SoC and the time in use of the rechargeable battery. The method includes causing a display of the battery charger to present the estimated current SoC.
Abstract: A method of producing a lithium-ion battery includes filling at least one cell of the battery with an electrolyte followed directly with a first step of sealing the at least one cell and a second step of applying pulsating compression to the at least one cell during formation charging, the pulsating compression comprising alternating a first time period of applying a first compression force F1 greater than zero and a second time period of applying a second compression force F2, wherein F1>F2, and the formation charging includes a first charge of the battery.
Abstract: A lowband radiator has four dipole arms and a central region that is centered at the intersection of the dipole arms. Each of the dipole arms has a sequence of capacitive and inductive structures and a pair of high gain wings that are disposed in the dipole central region. In one embodiment of the lowband radiator, each dipole arm has a gap within the central region that is colinear with the dipole arm. The dipoles provide for improved isolation from nearby midband radiators while providing high gain.
Abstract: Image processing is described. An example method includes generating a feature extraction layer portion of an image classification model based on a deep neural network (DNN) model, and extracting features of a group of images by using the feature extraction layer portion. The method further includes training an output layer portion of the image classification model according to the features of training images in the group of images and classification labels of the training images. The method further includes generating the image classification model by combining the feature extraction layer portion and the output layer portion. Embodiments of the present disclosure implement a lightweight artificial intelligence (AI) solution on a storage system. An expanded storage system can facilitate the generation of AI applications and assist in training an image classification model more quickly, and the obtained image classification model can also produce high accuracy on a small training set.
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments describe a system for completing a transaction using an electronic transaction card by receiving, from a user device executing a software application, a selection of a first account function associated with a financial transaction; determining that the account function requires user verification; detecting, via a motion detection component, a motion pattern performed on the electronic transaction card by the user; authenticating an identity of the user, by the electronic transaction card, based on the detected motion pattern; and completing, by the user device, the financial transaction.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture to generate reference signature assets from meter signatures are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a signature comparator to compare meter signature strings with search signature strings to identify a first fragment match result, which is associated with a sequence position within a first media represented by the search signature strings included in the first fragment match result, and which is also associated with a length of the first media. Disclosed example apparatus also include candidate signature asset generation circuitry to generate a candidate signature asset from a meter signature sequence based on the sequence position and the length of the first media, and store the candidate signature asset in a candidate pool associated with the first media.

Abstract: A wireless communication system wirelessly transfers a network integration request to a distributed ledger over a communication satellite. The network integration request indicates an access node identifier, ledger credentials, and geographic location. The distributed ledger validates the ledger credentials, and in response, translates the access node identifier and the geographic location into an access node configuration. The distributed ledger transfers the access node configuration to the wireless access node over the communication satellite. Based on the access node configuration, the wireless access node wirelessly registers with a wireless communication network, wirelessly exchanges user data between User Equipment (UEs) and the wireless communication network, and hands-over some of the UEs with neighbor access nodes.
