Abstract: The disclosure describes various aspects of monolithic integration of different light emitting structures on a same substrate. In an aspect, a device for light generation is described having a substrate with one or more buffer layers made a material that includes GaN. The device also includes light emitting structures, which are epitaxially grown on a same surface of a top buffer layer of the substrate, where each light emitting structure has an active area parallel to the surface and laterally terminated, and where the active area of different light emitting structures is configured to directly generate a different color of light. The device also includes a p-doped layer disposed over the active area of each light emitting structure and made of a p-doped material that includes GaN. The device may be part of a light field display and may be connected to a backplane of the light field display.
Abstract: An automated seed planter may include at least two vacuum cylinders which simultaneously and/or independently pick up and deliver seeds to a single tray. The vacuum cylinders may have a common rotational axis about which the vacuum cylinders rotate. The automated seed planter may include a plurality of vertical seed chutes which receive seeds therein. The vertical seed chutes have open upper and lower ends. A shutter assembly of the seed planter is associated with the lower ends of the vertical seed chutes. The shutter assembly is selectively opens and closes the lower ends of the seed chutes to plant the seeds on the tray. The automated seed planter may include a seed correction assembly including seed wells which receive seeds therein. The seed correction assembly selectively displaces one or more of the seeds from the seed wells to deliver the one or more seeds toward the tray for planting.
Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of updating a state of a client device using a limited event size protocol. An initial state of the client device is stored. The initial state is defined by first records that identify first respective binaries associated with the client device at a first time. A first event of multiple events, which are configured in accordance with the limited event size protocol, is received from the client device. Each event includes a respective subset of second records, which identify respective second binaries associated with the client device at a second time. The first event is parsed to identify a first subset of the second records that is included in the first event. An updated state of the client device is generated by replacing a first portion of the first records with the first subset of the second records.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein are directed to an adaptive AI model for 3D object detection using synthetic training data. For example, an ML model is trained to detect certain items of interest based on a training set that is synthetically generated in real time during the training process. The training set comprises a plurality of images depicting containers that are virtually packed with items of interest. Each image of the training set is a composite of an image comprising a container that is packed with items of non-interest and an image comprising an item of interest scanned in isolation. A plurality of such images is generated during any given training iteration of the ML model. Once trained, the ML model is configured to detect items of interest in actual containers and output a classification indicative of a likelihood that a container comprises an item of interest.

Abstract: Systems and methods of incentivizing the use of a safety device while operating a vehicle are provided. Data captured by sensors associated with a safety device may be analyzed to identify instances in which the safety device is used by an operator of a vehicle. Additionally, data captured by sensors associated with the vehicle may be analyzed to identify instances in which the vehicle is in motion. By comparing the instances in which the safety device is used by the operator of the vehicle to the instances in which the vehicle is in motion, instances in which the operator of the vehicle uses the safety device while operating the vehicle may be determined. Furthermore, a trend of the operator of the vehicle using the safety device while operating the vehicle may be identified. A notification related to the identified trend may be provided to the operator of the vehicle.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for supporting wireless medium sharing in wireless communications systems, e.g., various 802.11 wireless communications systems, are described. A novel shared transmission type of trigger frame is implemented, which allows a wireless station, acting as a host station, to make available transmission resources, which have been acquired by the wireless station, to one or more guest stations. A shared transmission type of trigger frame, generated and transmitted by the host station communicates information identifying the attributes of a corresponding trigger based (TB) frame, information identifying resources of the TB frame to be used by the host station and information identifying one or more set of shared resources which may be used by guest station(s). The trigger based (TB) frame, corresponding to the transmitted shared transmission type trigger frame, is used by the host station and one or more guest stations to transmit data to an access point.
