  • Patent number: 12192116
Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for configuring a physical network card or physical network controller (pNIC) to provide flow processing offload (FPO) for a host computer connected to the pNIC. The host computers host a set of compute nodes in a virtual network. The set of compute nodes are each associated with a set of interfaces that are each assigned a locally-unique virtual port identifier (VPID) by a flow processing and action generator. The pNIC includes a set of interfaces that are assigned physical port identifiers (PPIDs) by the pNIC. The method includes providing the pNIC with a set of mappings between VPIDs and PPIDs. The method also includes sending updates to the mappings as compute nodes migrate, connect to different interfaces of the pNIC, are assigned different VPIDs, etc.

  • Patent number: 12192257
Abstract: Systems for transitioning a user interface arrangement from a display of a two-dimensional image of a user to a rendering of a three-dimensional representation of the user is provided. A system can start with a UI including a rendering of a user that is based on a 2D image file. The system can receive an input that is configured to cause the system to transition the display of the rendering of the 2D image of the select user to a rendering of the three-dimensional representation of the select user. To display the rendering of the 3D representation of the select user, the system uses permission data and a three-dimensional model defining a position and orientation to display the 3D representation of the user. The system allows users to switch between viewing modes to allow users to interact with content using the most effective type of hardware.

  • Patent number: 12192432
Abstract: A redundantly printed security-enhanced document, printing method, and system for better ensuring that the meaning of the information imparted by variable indicia printed by redundant printing indicia on a document protected by a removable Scratch-Off Coating (SOC). By printing the variable indicia with multiple colors, redundancy and integrity of the intended indicia is achieved relative to the perception of human eye photoreceptor cones. The redundantly printed document, methods, and systems enhance the overall appearance of the redundantly printed document, and reduce possible consequences resulting from misprinted variable indicia.

  • Patent number: 12188610
Abstract: Systems and methods described herein provide a configurable base plate for industrial pump configurations, including different combinations of pump, motor, and coupling types. Slotted motor adapters allow for axial adjustment of the motor position, and movable threaded mounting lugs lock in the motor position for ease of future maintenance, replacement, disassembly, and repeated reassembly. The mounting lugs are locked into place by affixing jackscrew lugs, which serve to both semi-permanently locate the motor mounting locations, and also provide a point to install a jackscrew used to finely adjust motor position and coupling alignment. A single adjustable coupling guard is compatible with a variety of pump, coupling, and motor configurations that fit on the base plate.

  • Patent number: 12190701
Abstract: Systems and methods of preventing an event occurrence or mitigating effects of an event occurrence in an industrial facility are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, a first input is received from a first sensor and, based at least in part on the first input, an initial action is automatically generated. In response to the initial action, a second input is received from a second sensor and, based at least in part of the received first and second inputs, a likelihood of an event occurrence is determined. Based at least in part of the determined likelihood, a remedial action configured to prevent the occurrence of the event occurrence is automatically generated. In some embodiments, the remedial action is generated in real-time and can be directed to a process condition, environmental condition, or secondary source.

  • Patent number: 12190295
Abstract: Techniques to apply machine learning to schedule events of interest for a device user. As described herein, a typical device user is inundated with information suggesting activities and other things to do. Using these techniques, the information is categorized according to the activity and those activities that are most likely to be engaged in by the device user are recommended to the device user (via their device) as events of interest. If the device user selects an event of interest, the device is updated to reflect that selection. For instance, a calendar application may be updated to include an event description at the event's date and time. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

  • Patent number: 12187645
Abstract: Chemical-resistant polymer concrete and methods of use thereof are described herein. The polymer concrete comprises a polymer layer and aggregates. The polymer layer is formed by reacting an epoxy vinyl ester resin promoted with cobalt and catalyzed by a peroxide. A concrete substrate is formed by layering the polymer layer and aggregates in thin alternating layers until a desired thickness is achieved. This layering method can reduce shrinkage of the concrete, thereby preventing cracking, deformation or debonding.

  • Patent number: 12192211
Abstract: In some implementations, a server device may receive, from a client device, a login credential associated with a user and a request to access a resource. The server device may identify a confidant associated with the user and a confidant device associated with the confidant, wherein the confidant device is different from a user device associated with the user. The server device may transmit, to the confidant device, a request to verify an identity of the user. The server device may determine whether a verification of the identity of the user is received from the confidant device. The server device may grant or deny access to the resource based on determining whether the verification of the identity of the user is received from the confidant device.

  • Patent number: 12186992
Abstract: A method of operating a three-dimensional (3D) metal object manufacturing apparatus selects operational parameters for operation of the printer to form conductive metal traces on substrates with dimensions within appropriate tolerances and with sufficient conductive material to carry electrical currents without burning up or becoming too hot. The method identifies the material of the substrate and the bulk metal being melted for ejection and uses this identification data to select the operational parameters. Thus, the method can form conductive traces and circuits on a wide range of substrate materials including polymeric substrates, semiconductor materials, oxide layers on semiconductor materials, glass, and other crystalline materials.
