Abstract: Light emitting electrochemical cell devices comprising chiral liquid crystalline materials. The chiral liquid crystalline material mixtures of the devices function as both electrolytes and as light emitting materials. The chiral liquid crystalline material mixtures also form photonic crystal structures creating a photonic stop band. The presence of the photonic stop band enables the light emitting electrochemical cell devices to emit light with improved energy efficiency.
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for custom-defined network routing. In one implementation, a set of custom defined network flow rules is received at an edge router of a primary network, which is in communication with a customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules correspond to network traffic associated with the customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules is stored in a forwarding table on the edge router. A packet of data is received at the edge router. The packet of data is attributed to the customer network. The set of custom defined network flow rules is applied to the pack of data using the forwarding table.

Abstract: A bulk food product gravity-feed dispenser includes a compartment configured to receive and store bulk food material. A valve separates the compartment from an outlet. The valve operates to open and close to selectively permit bulk food material to pass from the compartment through the outlet. An electromechanical motor is communicatively connected to a controller and mechanically connected to the valve. The controller operates in response to receipt of a dispense instruction input to produce a control signal to the electromechanical motor. The electromechanical motor operates to move the valve between a closed position and an open position to dispense a portion of the bulk food material.

Abstract: An endovascularly deployed prosthetic includes a portion for being positioned within an ascending aorta. The prosthesis includes a replacement aortic valve on a proximal end thereof. The prosthesis includes an increased diameter portion that seals against the aorta at a more distal portion, and a pair of conduits extend from the increased diameter portion to the coronaries for fluidly coupling the coronaries to the prosthesis.
Abstract: A computer system for creating driving tournaments for users including a processor in communication with a memory device is provided. The processor may be programmed to: i) receive user data associated with a plurality of users, ii) generate, based at least in part upon the received user data, a driving profile including driving characteristics of each user, iii) match users based at least in part upon the driving profiles of the users, wherein a match occurs when driving characteristics of the driving profiles are substantially similar, iv) create a driving tournament for the matched one or more users, v) receive current vehicle telematics data and current mobile device data associated with the matched one or more users, and vi) determine, after the predetermined time period has ended, a winner of the driving tournament.

The system may comprise at least one frame, at least one cargo control track comprising at least one receiving member receptacle, at least one attachment mechanism configured to connect the at least one frame to the at least one cargo control track at the at least one receiving member receptacle, and at least one living quarters module. The at least one living quarters module may be selected from a sink module, a storage cabinet module, a bed module, a stove module, a toilet module, and a shower module. Each living quarters module may be connected to one of the at least one frame.
Abstract: Provided is a ratchet tie down including a main body portion, a reel assembly rotatable relative to the main body portion, a first sprocket surrounding the reel assembly, a second sprocket surrounding the reel assembly, at least one first noise reduction disk, at least one second noise reduction disk, and a release pawl biased in a locked position to land on the noise reduction disks to dampen the sound as the release pawl engages teeth of the sprockets.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for monitoring and diagnosing power system assets. An example method may include triggering, by a gateway device and at a first time, a capture of a first waveform from a first intelligent electronic device (IED) associated with a first asset in a power system. The method may also include transmitting, by the gateway device, the capture of the waveform to a remote device. The method may also include extracting fault features from the first waveform corresponding to different failure modes associated with the asset of the power system. The method may also include determining, based on the features extracted from first waveform, that a fault of a first fault mode has occurred in the asset. The method may also include providing an alert that the fault has been identified, wherein the alert initiates or otherwise facilitates a control action in the power system.

Abstract: The present technology pertains to determining whether traffic signal cameras of an AV are miscalibrated. One technique for determining if a given traffic signal camera is miscalibrated includes obtaining an image from a traffic signal camera, marking the location of a traffic signal in the image with a bounding box, and determining if the light sources of the traffic signal are within the bounding box. If not, an alternate reason check is performed to determine whether an alternate reason exists for why the light source of the traffic signal is not within the bounding box. If no such reason exists, then the traffic signal camera may be miscalibrated. An additional calibration check may be performed using images from two traffic signal cameras of the AV each having four common light sources, and performing a homographic computation using the location of the light sources in the images.
Abstract: A device for measuring a cryogenic liquid level is disclosed. The device includes an inner cylindrical tube, an outer cylindrical tube that is coaxial with the inner cylindrical tube, the outer tube separated from the inner tube by an air gap, wherein the air gap is exposed to environmental pressure but sealed against cryogenic liquid, and a pressure transducer in pressure communication with the inner tube. The outer and inner tubes may be inserted into a cryogenic fluid chamber, and the depth of the cryogenic liquid may be determined based on the pressure present in the inner tube and detected by the pressure transducer.

Abstract: Methods and systems disclosed herein may quantify the content and nature of first streaming data to detect when the typical composition of the first streaming data changes. Quantifying the content and nature of the first streaming data may begin by generating a baseline representation of the content of the first streaming data as represented by a first matrix. Once generated, the first matrix may be used as a control against subsequently received data streams. In this regard, a second matrix may be generated from second streaming data and compared to the first matrix to determine the differences between the first streaming data and the second streaming data. Once a difference is determined, the difference may be compared to a threshold value and, when the difference exceeds the threshold value, an administrator may be notified and corrective action taken.
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe improved systems and methods for detecting keywords in audio content. In one example implementation, audio content is segmented into one or more audio segments. One or more text segments is generated, each text segment corresponding to each of the audio segments. For each text segment, one or more phrase candidate values is generated using a textual analysis, and one or more sentence embedding values is generated using a sentence embedding analysis. Next, an average sentence embedding value is calculated using the one or more sentence embedding values. Each of the one or more phrase candidate values is compared to the average sentence embedding value. Each phrase candidate value having a comparison value above a threshold value is labeled as representing a keyword.
