  • Patent number: 11265353
Abstract: IoT service layer capabilities may be employed to automate and simplify the service enrollment process for IoT service subscribers/enrollees. These capabilities enable virtualization of a service subscriber and the physical IoT devices, applications, data and authorized users of the subscriber into a software profile that is representative of the subscriber. Once virtualized, a service subscriber may then delegate the complexities and burden of service enrollment to an automated IoT service enrollment software function.

  • Patent number: 11265752
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media herein dynamically assign user devices to communicate to cell sites and antenna arrays using either a first wireless communication protocol or a second wireless communication protocol. The sector power ratio (SPR) for a wireless communication protocol is monitored to determine if a key performance indicator (KPI) should be monitored. Once the SPR exceeds a pre-determined threshold, the KPI is monitored to determine to what degree, if any, the KPI has exceeded a threshold value. An upper limit to the number of user devices allowed to communicate to the cell cite using the first wireless communication protocol is then modified at least in part based on the SPR and the KPI values. User devices are then re-assigned from the first to the second wireless communication protocol based on the modified upper limit of user devices allowed to use the first wireless communication protocol.

  • Patent number: 11260880
Abstract: In one embodiment, instead of using map data, a relative coordinate system is utilized to assist perception of the driving environment surrounding an ADV for some driving situations. One of such driving situations is driving on a highway. Typically, a highway has fewer intersections and exits. The relative coordinate system is utilized based on the relative lane configuration and relative obstacle information to control the ADV to simply follow the lane and avoid potential collision with any obstacles discovered within the road, without having to use map data. Once the relative lane configuration and obstacle information have been determined, regular path and speed planning and optimization can be performed to generate a trajectory to drive the ADV. Such a perception system is referred to as a relative perception system based on a relative coordinate system.

  • Patent number: 11263048
Abstract: In a computing resource environment including at least one resource capable of being allocated to at least one of a plurality of tasks, techniques are disclosed for applying a taint to a resource in a computing resource environment, the taint being configured to prevent the resource from being claimed for a resource request without a toleration to that taint. Variations include receiving, at a resource scheduler in the resource environment, a request to allocate the resource to perform a particular task and determining whether the resource is subject to a taint. If the resource is subject to a taint, analyzing the request to determine if it includes a toleration for the taint. If the request includes a toleration for the taint, allocating the resource to the task. If the request does not include a toleration for the taint, not allocating the resource due to the taint.
