  • Patent number: 11238412
Abstract: A method for creating events for use by an electronic calendar application. A computer device running a calendar application displays a GUI having a representation of a calendar. A first widget on the GUI initiates a software routine for defining an event. The routine generates an interface window having a plurality of event detail widgets which allow the user to interactively define details of the event. Once the details are entered, the event is saved as a multimedia object, and the multimedia object is placed onto the calendar representation. Further, details of the event may include additional multimedia content. Also, the calendar representation itself may include multimedia content. The event may be defined with an approximate time frame rather than a specific time frame. For example, an event may be linked to another event rather than to a specific time frame.

  • Patent number: 11238300
Abstract: An object re-identifier. For each of a plurality of frames of a video, a quality of the frame is assessed and a confidence that a previously-recognized object is present in the frame is determined. The determined confidence for the frame is weighted based on the assessed quality of the frame such that frames with higher relative quality are weighted more heavily than frames with lower relative quality. An overall confidence that the previously-recognized object is present in the video is assessed based on the weighted determined confidences.

  • Patent number: 11238733
Abstract: A social driving style learning framework or system for autonomous vehicles is utilized, which can dynamically learn the social driving styles from surrounding vehicles and adopt the driving style as needed. Each of the autonomous vehicles within a particular driving area is equipped with the driving style learning system to perceive the driving behaviors of the surrounding vehicles to derive a set of driving style elements. Each autonomous vehicle transmits the driving style elements to a centralized remote server. The server aggregates the driving style elements collected from the autonomous vehicles to determine a driving style corresponding to that particular driving area. The server transmits the driving style back to each of the autonomous vehicles. The autonomous vehicles can then decide whether to adopt the driving style, for example, to follow the traffic flow with the rest of the vehicles nearby.

  • Patent number: 11240031
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for delegating authority to cloud IoT devices, with such delegated authority enabling the cloud IoT devices to access second cloud services outside of a core network. The IoT device uses its IoT identity to obtain a token for accessing the second service within a predefined time window. The token may be used to access the second service without further authentication by the second service. Accordingly, the IoT device can take particular actions, such as downloading files, etc., during the predefined time window. After the predefined time window, the IoT device may no longer access the second service without obtaining another token.
