    Abstract: The disclosed method, system, and apparatus are directed to offloading signature generation to avoid security risks, such as the ones described above. In an embodiment, an application library may receive an unsigned request (e.g., an unauthenticated API call) from an application. The unsigned request may include a target service (e.g., cloud computing resource) to which access is requested by the application. The application library may transmit the unsigned request to a signature generator. The signature generator may verify the unsigned request and generate a signature based on credential information accessible to the signature generator. The application library may receive the signature and may add the signature to the unsigned request to form a signed request (e.g., authenticated API call). The application library may transmit the signed request to the target service.

In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.

    Abstract: The present invention involves a method for anonymous contact tracing for a user with a mobile device in a location having an associated contract tracing system having a plurality of tokens. The user has a mobile device upon which the user obtains a token from the location and/or the contact tracing system. The mobile device stores the user's space-time coordinate information. There is a recording of space-time coordinate information of each mobile device that is traceable by the contact tracing system in association with one of the tokens. When a user reports the existence of an exposure event, the contact tracing system analyzes the token-coordinate information to determine which of the tokens have been subject to the exposure event. By notifying at least one of the users with an associated token that was subject to the exposure event, those users may also check to see if they have been subject to the same exposure event. The method may be implemented by a server and by software running on a mobile device.
