Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry decodes partition information from a coded video bitstream. The partition information is indicative of a minimum allowed quaternary tree (QT) leaf node size for an intra coded (I) slice. The minimum allowed QT leaf node size for the I slice is constrained by a threshold that is lower than a coding tree unit (CTU) size.

Abstract: A method, a set-top box, and non-transitory computer readable medium are disclosed for detecting incompatible cables for devices. The method includes: setting, on an electronic device, a high speed data-transfer mode; sending, from the electronic device, data to a device at the high speed data-transfer mode over a cable under test; determining, on the electronic device, a number of authentication attempts by the device; and determining, by the electronic device, that the number of authentication attempts by the device is less a predetermined number that the cable under test is compatible with the high speed data-transfer mode.

Abstract: In alternative embodiments, the invention provides compositions, e.g., formulations, used for gastric, gastrointestinal and/or colonic treatments or lavage, e.g., orthostatic lavage, e.g., for inducing the purgation (e.g., cleansing) of a gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including a colon; and methods for making and using them. In alternative embodiments, compositions and methods of the invention are used for the stabilization, amelioration, treatment and/or prevention of constipation, for the treatment of abdominal pain, particularly non-specific abdominal pain, and diarrhea, including diarrhea caused by a drug side effect, a psychological condition, a disease or a condition such as Crohn's Disease, a poison, a toxin or an infection, e.g., a toxin-mediated travelers diarrhea, or C.difficile or the pseudo-membranous colitis associated with this infection.

Abstract: One method comprises receiving a hit signal from a device worn by a first player, receiving a position of the device, receiving an orientation of a launch axis of a virtual-projectile launcher, receiving a position of a second player, and outputting a hit assignment on determining, pursuant to receiving the hit signal, that a recognized object and the second player are coincident at an indicated launch of a virtual projectile. Another method comprises receiving an indication of launch of a virtual projectile by a virtual-projectile launcher of a first player, receiving an image aligned to a launch axis of the virtual-projectile launcher, outputting a hit signal to a server on determining, pursuant to receiving the indication of launch, that a recognized object is imaged in a projectile-delivery area of the image, and outputting a position of the device and an orientation of the launch axis to the server.

Abstract: This document describes aspects of multiple active-coordination-set (ACS) aggregation for mobility management. A master base station coordinates aggregation of control-plane and user-plane communications, generated by a first active-coordination-set for a first joint communication between the first ACS and a user equipment, where the first ACS includes the master base station and at least a second base station. The master base station receives, from a second master base station of a second ACS, control-plane information or user-plane data associated with a second joint communication between the second ACS and the UE, the second ACS including the second master base station and at least a third base station. The master base station aggregates the control-plane and user-plane communications with at least a portion of the control-plane information or the user-plane data to coordinate data throughput to the user equipment.

Abstract: The present invention discloses single level fusion systems and methods of use. The single level fusion systems include a first fastener, a second fastener, and a connector to secure the first fastener to the second fastener. The method of assembling a single level fusion system including obtaining a first fastener, a second fastener, and a connector, securing the first fastener to the connector, and securing the second fastener to the connector. Methods of using the single level fusion systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: A portable hand-washing station having a base, at least one sink thereabove, a grey-water storage tank in the base, and a suction tube extending from an inlet end thereof within the grey-water storage tank upwardly and from there downwardly to an outlet end thereof at a bottom portion of the base, the suction tube having a check valve in it which has a cracking pressure sufficient to prevent flow from the grey-water storage tank through the suction tube without application of suction at the outlet to overcome the cracking pressure.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a first set of documents that correspond to data discovery documents. The method further includes generating a map of terms and words based on the first set of documents, the map of terms and words corresponding to concepts. The method further includes receiving from a first user an initial document relating to a data discovery issue. The method further includes requesting the user to provide an identification of at least one of an initial name of a first person, an initial date, and an initial keyword related to the legal issue. The method further includes generating at least one of a similar name of a second person, a similar date, and a similar keyword based on the map of terms and words. The method further includes identifying a review document based on the review document including at least one of the similar name of the second person, the similar date, and the similar keyword.

Abstract: This application describes a light emitting device or an assembly of light emitting devices, each with a small footprint. The light emitting device comprises two transistors, a capacitor, and an LED. The transistors comprise single crystal semiconductor. The capacitor is vertically-oriented. The LED overlies the transistors and capacitor. Methods to form the light emitting device or assembly are discussed.

Abstract: A method of controlling residual coding for decoding or encoding of a video sequence, is performed by at least one processor and includes determining whether a small transform size of a primary transform is to be used for the residual coding of a coded block of the video sequence. The method further includes based on the small transform size of the primary transform being determined to be used, identifying, as the primary transform, a first transform set including discrete sine transform (DST)-4 and discrete cosine transform (DCT)-4, based on the small transform size of the primary transform being determined to not be used, identifying, as the primary transform, a second transform set including DST-7 and DCT-8, and performing the residual coding of the coded block, using the identified primary transform.

Abstract: An automated beverage monitoring system including one or more electronic scale assembly having a scale, a radio frequency identification tag reader, one or more batteries, one or more processors, one or more transceivers for transmitting and receiving wireless data, one or more data storage devices and a user interface. The automated beverage monitoring system also including a radio frequency identification tag that is affixed to a beverage dispenser. The radio frequency identification tag is configured to be read by the radio frequency identification tag reader of the electronic scale assembly when the beverage dispenser is placed on the electronic scale assembly. The automated beverage monitoring system also includes a remote device, such as a computer or mobile smart phone, in wireless communication with the one or more electronic scale assembly.

Abstract: In accordance with at least one aspect of this disclosure, a real time location services (RTLS) system, comprises one or more location anchor beacons configured to output a location anchor signal indicative of a location of the location anchor beacon in a physical space. One or more readers are configured to receive an asset tag signal from one or more asset tag beacons which are configured to receive the location anchor signal from the one or more location anchors. A location module is configured to receive the asset tag signal and to determine a physical location of the one or more asset tag beacons based on information indicative of a proximity to one or more of the one or more location anchor beacons included in the asset tag signal.

Abstract: A solvent comprised of (1) a caustic and an alcohol, (2) a caustic and a quaternary ammonium hydroxide, or (3) a caustic, an alcohol, and a quaternary ammonium hydroxide may contact an adsorbent bed that has been used to remove sulfur compounds from a hydrocarbon stream to extract adsorbed sulfur compounds from the adsorbent material in the bed to regenerate it. The regenerated adsorbent bed may be reused, either alone or in combination with a liquid-liquid extraction column, to remove sulfur compounds from a hydrocarbon stream.

The number of the sidelink slots may be based on a resource pool configuration. The wireless device may transmit a transport block via one or more transmission resources based on the second reservation period.

Abstract: An apparatus for point cloud decoding includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry receives, from a coded bitstream for a point cloud, encoded occupancy codes for nodes in an octree structure for the point cloud. The nodes in the octree structure correspond to three dimensional (3D) partitions of a space of the point cloud. Sizes of the nodes are associated with sizes of the corresponding 3D partitions. Further, the processing circuitry decodes, from the encoded occupancy codes, occupancy codes for the nodes. At least a first occupancy code for a child node of a first node is decoded without waiting for a decoding of a second occupancy code for a second node having a same node size as the first node. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs the octree structure based on the decoded occupancy codes for the nodes, and reconstructs the point cloud based on the octree structure.

The kits and methods described involve the use of undenatured type II collagen as a standard for producing accurate and reproducible results with respect to quantifying the amount of collagen in a sample used in cosmetics, food products, and pharmaceuticals or nutritional supplements.

Abstract: Systems and methods relate to sharing content and data across users and devices. A shared folios include media primitives and tools as its constituents. The use of shared folios addresses an issue of reliably and efficiently transfer user activities with data. The use addresses scenarios of both single-user work utilizing multiple devices and collaborative work among users utilizing multiple devices. The media primitive includes content in various data types. The tool include data and access to the data by devices and applications. A data distributor manages automatic synchronization of the folios across devices using centralized and distributed transaction logs The folios are synchronized with resiliency against failure in client devices. The folio and its constituents are interactively accessible through top-level, semi-transparent user interface. The media primitive and the tools may programmatically access local applications to automatically transfer user activities among users and devices.
