  • Patent number: 11229160
Abstract: A trimmer head for a trimmer having a shaft defining a rotation axis is provided. The trimmer head includes a housing including a main housing and a lower cover, wherein the main housing contains a pair of opposed eyelets through which trimmer line is discharged. A spool is encased within the housing, with a bump knob connected thereto, and has a passageway with opposed ends and extending from one side of the spool to another, the opposed ends being alignable with the eyelets to receive the line. A first set of ramps is located on an inside surface of the main housing and a second set of ramps is located within a center barrel of the spool. The two sets of ramps interact to control the direction of releasing line from the trimmer head and forcing indexing of the spool when the bump knob is bumped.

  • Patent number: 11230187
Abstract: A close-out assembly includes a housing and an inlet. The housing includes a wall that surrounds an opening. The wall includes an outer edge adjacent to the face plate and an inner edge. The inlet is coupled to the wall, and the inlet is accessible through the opening. The assembly includes a door coupled to the housing that is movable relative to the housing. The assembly includes a seal formed to the wall at the outer edge of the wall and the inner edge of the wall. The door engages one part of the seal when the door is in a closed position, and the inlet engages another part of the seal regardless of the position of the door. A method of manufacturing the assembly includes positioning a housing relative to a mold, and molding an elastomeric material to the housing using the mold to form a seal.

  • Patent number: 11232254
Abstract: A method and system for reviewing edits and editing content items are provided. An edit to a first version of a first content item is received. The first version of the first content is part of the active content delivery campaign and has been delivered over a computer network to a first plurality of computing devices. The edit is stored in a first storage that is separate from a second storage. An event indicating the edit is inserted into an event processing system. A result approving the edit is received from the event processing system. In response to receiving the result approving the edit, a second version is caused to be stored in the second storage. The second version reflecting the edit is caused to be delivered over the computer network.

  • Patent number: 11231062
Abstract: A system is provided for attaching a layer of a metal to other layers in a material stack-up using a metal mechanical fastener that does not allow for direct contact between the fastener and the metal layer, thereby neutralizing any galvanic reaction between the metal sheet and the fastener and avoiding corrosion. The metal layer may be any of several metals, including magnesium. The fastener is a rivet, a screw or a bolt. The disclosed inventive concept uses an insulating layer to insulate the magnesium layer. In one embodiment, a layer of a thin metal is formed over the insulating layer. Where the fastener is a rivet and the metal is magnesium, the insulating layer and thin metal provide a barrier between the magnesium layer and the rivet prongs following rivet insertion, thus isolating the rivet. The system enables a greater application of fastener joining, particularly with magnesium and mixed material joining.

  • Patent number: 11232012
Abstract: A computer-implemented method that includes monitoring execution of program code by first and second processor components. A computing system detects that a trigger condition is satisfied by: i) identifying an operand in a portion of the program code; or ii) determining that a current time of a clock of the computing system indicates a predefined time value. The operand and the predefined time value are used to initiate trace events. When the trigger condition is satisfied the system initiates trace events that generate trace data identifying respective hardware events occurring across the computing system. The system uses the trace data to generate a correlated set of trace data. The correlated trace data indicates a time ordered sequence of the respective hardware events. The system uses the correlated set of trace data to analyze performance of the executing program code.

  • Patent number: 11232292
Abstract: An activity recognition system is disclosed. A plurality of temporal features is generated from a digital representation of an observed activity using a feature detection algorithm. An observed activity graph comprising one or more clusters of temporal features generated from the digital representation is established, wherein each one of the one or more clusters of temporal features defines a node of the observed activity graph. At least one contextually relevant scoring technique is selected from similarity scoring techniques for known activity graphs, the at least one contextually relevant scoring technique being associated with activity ingestion metadata that satisfies device context criteria defined based on device contextual attributes of the digital representation, and a similarity activity score is calculated for the observed activity graph as a function of the at least one contextually relevant scoring technique, the similarity activity score being relative to at least one known activity graph.

  • Patent number: 11234293
Abstract: A system is disclosed for providing low data rate broadcast services. Different types of broadcast packets are detected among data packets received an external network. The different types broadcast packets contain different a different broadcast content. When a particular type of broadcast packet is detected, a transmit data rate is selected and Walsh codes are assigned for achieving the transmit data rate. Data packets corresponding to the broadcast packets are compressed, and at least one RLC block containing the compressed data packets is created. The RLC blocks are transmitted from a satellite using the assigned Walsh codes.

  • Patent number: 11233745
Abstract: A method of reducing network traffic includes blocking, at a mobile device, a first channel to reduce network signaling in a network and to reduce battery consumption. The first channel includes a non-common channel. The method includes offloading application traffic of an application onto a second channel. The second channel may include a common channel. The method may include monitoring the application traffic of the application over the second channel, unblocking the first channel based on the monitored application traffic so that the application can perform an action, and re-blocking the first channel after the action has been completed. The method may include unblocking the first channel when user activity is detected, wherein the user activity includes whether the mobile device is being interacted with.

  • Patent number: 11229357
Abstract: A laser surgery system includes a light source, an eye interface device, a scanning assembly, a confocal detection assembly and preferably a confocal bypass assembly. The light source generates an electromagnetic beam. The scanning assembly scans a focal point of the electromagnetic beam to different locations within the eye. An optical path propagates the electromagnetic beam from a light source to the focal point, and also propagates a portion of the electromagnetic beam reflected from the focal point location back along at least a portion of the optical path. The optical path includes an optical element associated with a confocal detection assembly that diverts a portion of the reflected electromagnetic radiation to a sensor. The sensor generates an intensity signal indicative of intensity the electromagnetic beam reflected from the focal point location. The confocal bypass assembly reversibly diverts the electromagnetic beam along a diversion optical path around the optical element.

  • Patent number: 11231857
Abstract: Techniques process and manage a storage unit access. In accordance with such a technique, a data access request which is from a host system and for a first storage unit in the first storage system is received, wherein the first storage unit is a secondary storage unit; and the data access request is forwarded to a second storage unit in a second storage system associated with the first storage unit via a redirection link from the first storage system to the second storage system, wherein the second storage unit is a primary storage unit. Through such techniques, the host system can be allowed to send a data access request for the secondary storage unit, so that the host system does not need to resend the data access request, thereby reducing delay and interruption caused by such requests.
