Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the use of occluding fluids, such as a high-density fluid (a “z-fluid”) or a low-density fluid (an “a-fluid”), to displace resin within a vat during 3D printing. Further, an a-fluid may act as a protective boundary for a 3D printing resin wherein the a-fluid sits on top of the printing resin. Another embodiment of the disclosure provides a process of assessing which regions of a computer-aided design (CAD) model take advantage of a buoying force supplied by the occluding fluid, such that fewer support structures are needed for printing a final CAD model compared to printing the CAD model without the occluding fluid.

Abstract: A system and method for encrypting and decrypting information is presented. In some embodiments, an endpoint token management system is provided for facilitating dynamic and random encryption and decryption methods. The system and methods may be employed in virtually any system or network, and may be used to protect virtually any type of data, whether at rest (data storage), in motion (data transfer), or in use. In some embodiments, synchronization points are used as analogs for encryption/decryption keys, enabling the encrypting system and decrypting system to begin randomly altering encryption data in a like-manner, thereby creating a constantly changing encryption field that is virtually impossible to decrypt without authorization.

Abstract: A computing device is described for performing local interference avoidance, when supporting concurrent voice and data transmissions, and with access to multiple radios. The computing device predicts when coexistence issues will occur from maintaining independent voice and data transmissions using separate radios. To avoid local interference issues, the computing device automatically switches to operating a different combination of radios, making local interference less likely to occur. In some cases, the computing device may consolidate the voice and non-voice data exchanges to occur using a single radio. In some cases, rather than consolidation, the computing device may move the voice or the non-voice data exchange to a different radio as a way to avoid the local interference.

  • Publication number: 20220009175
Abstract: A method is provided of designing and producing a carbon fiber composite wrist pin using a combination of a carbon fiber composite pultruded rod that is overwrapped with a carbon fiber prepreg fabric. The use of the carbon fiber pultruded rod and the carbon fiber prepreg fabric results in a rod with optimal flexural strength properties to endure the flexural stress placed on a wrist pin during the cycling of an internal combustion engine. In addition, the overwrapping of the pultruded rod with a carbon fiber prepreg fabric allows for one pultruded rod blank to produce multiple wrist pin sizes by allowing one to change the outer diameter of the wrist pin by changing the thickness of the carbon fiber prepreg fabric overwrapping. After overwrapping, the rod blank is cut to a chosen specific length, optionally inserted into a metal sleeve, and coated with a thermal barrier coating. The wrist pin is then ground to a chosen specific tolerance and coated with an anti-friction coating.

Abstract: Embodiments relate to a hydraulic fracturing system that includes a blender unit. The system includes an auger and hopper assembly to receive proppant from a proppant source and feed the proppant to the blender unit for mixing with a fluid. A first power source is used to power the blender unit in order to mix the proppant with the fluid and prepare a fracturing slurry. A second power source independently powers the auger and hopper assembly in order to align the hopper of the auger and hopper assembly with a proppant feed from the proppant source. Thus, the auger and hopper assembly can be stowed or deployed without use of the first power source, which is the main power supply to the blender unit.

Abstract: A battery system includes a plurality of battery cell packs arranged in layers selectively connected in series and parallel by a control system controlling a plurality of switches. Each of the battery cell packs includes a plurality of battery cells. A plurality of first switches and a plurality of second switches are controlled by a control system to connect the battery cell packs in response to a desired current output of the battery system and/or a desired voltage output of the battery system irrespective of individual battery cell or battery cell pack voltages or currents associated with state of charge or operational performance. The control system controls the switches to selectively connect the battery cell pack(s) to the output connections in parallel and/or series to provide redundancy and reduce output voltage/current fluctuation otherwise associated with state of charge or underperforming battery cells/packs.

Abstract: An image sensor may include a shared pixel circuit having multiple photodiodes coupled to a common floating diffusion node via respective charge transfer gates. First, the pixel circuit may be reset, and a sample-and-hold reset (SHR) value may be read out. Charge from a first of the photodiodes may be transferred to the floating diffusion node, and a first sample-and-hold signal (SHS) value may be read out. A first correlated double sampling (CDS) value is obtained by computing the difference between the SHR value and the first SHS value. Without resetting again, charge from a second of the photodiodes may be transferred to the floating diffusion node, and a second SHS value may be read out. A second CDS value is obtained by computing the difference between the first and second SHS values. Reading out the shared pixel circuit in this way substantially reduces power consumption.
