Abstract: Embodiments relate to transformative shape-memory polymer tissue cavity markers and corresponding systems and deployment methods. In one embodiment, a tissue cavity marker for delivery to a tissue cavity via a minimally invasive surgical incision includes a transformative body having a first three-dimensional shape in a permanent state and a second three-dimensional shape different from the first three-dimensional shape in a temporary state, the transformative body comprising a shape-memory polymer material and being automatically transformable between the temporary state for delivery to a tissue cavity and the permanent state for residence within the tissue cavity by application of a stimulus; and at least one radiopaque marker coupled to the transformative body.
Abstract: A factory processed fiber optic ferrule assembly and field installable cable system are configured to pass through tight, microducts when routed to a demarcation point. A connector housing attaches to the fiber optic ferrule assembly at the demarcation point (or after leaving the tight, microducts) to form a connectorized end of the optical fiber. A fiber tip is protected before leaving the factory until connection is desired.
Abstract: A stalk roll assembly for header of a combine harvester. The assembly includes first and second stalk rolls spaced laterally with respect to one another and rotating in opposite directions. Each stalk roll includes a frusto-conical nose and a cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes a plurality of radially extending flutes. The nose includes a pair of helical flights. The plurality of flutes includes at least one cutting flute having a straight edge and a plurality of puncturing flutes with teeth. The stalk rolls are laterally offset a distance that permits the tips of the flutes to laterally overlap and the teeth of the puncturing flutes are longitudinally offset so the tips of the teeth are received between with the valleys of the teeth of the other stalk roll.
Abstract: Techniques are provided for user behavior analytics using keystroke analysis of pseudo-random data strings. One method comprises obtaining timestamps corresponding to keystroke activities on a device of a user associated with typing a pseudo-random character string comprising multiple characters, wherein at least one timestamp is adjusted based on errors associated with the typing of the pseudo-random character string; determining a time difference between keystroke activities associated with the pseudo-random character string using at least one adjusted timestamp; obtaining a time difference distribution for a subset of character sequences in the pseudo-random character string; determining a probability value for one or more character sequences in the subset; and determining an aggregate probability value for the pseudo-random character string based on the probability values.
Abstract: Wireless communications systems supporting carrier aggregation and selective distributed routing of secondary cell component carriers based on transmission power demand or signal quality are disclosed. The wireless communications system includes a signal router circuit communicatively coupled to a signal source. The signal router circuit is configured to distribute a primary cell component carrier, including control information, to each of multiple remote units to be distributed to any mobile device in a respective coverage area of any remote unit to avoid the need to support handovers. In addition, the signal router circuit is configured to selectively distribute one or more secondary cell component carriers to any subset of the remote units based on at least one of transmission power demand or signal quality associated with the remote units.
Abstract: A method of operating a surgical tool includes sending a command signal from a computer system to a motor to drive rotation of a drive shaft mounted within a drive housing of the surgical tool, monitoring one or more operational parameters of the motor with one or more monitoring devices in communication with the computer system, and measuring an unexpected change in the operational parameters of the motor with the monitoring devices. The unexpected change includes a measured operational parameter that is inconsistent with the command signal. The unexpected change is reported to the computer system as a bailout signal, and the surgical tool is disabled once the bailout signal is received at the computer system.
