  • Patent number: 11222142
Abstract: In particular embodiments, a data processing consent management system may be configured to utilize one or more age verification techniques to at least partially authenticate the data subject's ability to provide valid consent (e.g., under one or more prevailing legal requirements) in order to collect, store, and or process the subject's personal data. For example, according to one or more particular legal or industry requirements, an individual (e.g., data subject) may need to be at least a particular age (e.g., an age of majority, an adult, over 18, over 21, over 13, or any other suitable age) in order to provide valid consent. Data processing systems may generate and store one or more consent records memorializing valid consent for data processing from data subjects in response to confirming that the data subject is old enough to provide such consent.

  • Patent number: 11221765
Abstract: A background operation is internally triggered by firmware of a disk drive. During a training phase defined by a first time period, access latency of host commands is monitored during rotational position sorting command selection. During a sorting phase after the training phase, a sorting threshold is defined based on the access latencies measured during the training phase. The background command is selected for execution in the sorting phase if the seek and rotational latency is less than the sorting threshold.

  • Patent number: 11223273
Abstract: An electronic circuit includes a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) circuit, a sub-harmonic reduction circuit, and a voltage feedback circuit. The PWM circuit produces a PWM signal according to a voltage control signal, a current of the electronic circuit, and a maximum duty cycle. When the electronic circuit is operating in a peak current limit mode, the sub-harmonic reduction circuit generates a feedback adjustment signal according to whether the current of the electronic circuit exceeds a peak current limit, whether a duty cycle of the PWM signal is greater than or equal to the maximum duty cycle, whether the voltage control signal is controlling the duty cycle of the PWM signal, or combinations thereof. The voltage feedback circuit generates the voltage control signal according to an output voltage produced using the PWM signal, a value of a reference voltage, and a value of the feedback adjustment signal.

  • Patent number: 11220304
Abstract: An example method includes receiving, at a first frequency, sensor information indicative of an actual pressure level of a pilot fluid signal in a pilot line connecting an outlet port of a pilot supply valve to a pilot port of a main valve; determining an estimated pressure for the pilot fluid signal in the pilot line at a second frequency greater than the first frequency; determining a pressure estimate error based on comparing the actual pressure level to the estimated pressure; determining a pressure level error based on comparing the estimated pressure to a commanded pressure value; and operating the pilot supply valve in an open state to provide the pilot fluid signal to the pilot port of the main valve until the pressure level error is less than a threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11221948
Abstract: Coordinating a reclaiming of data storage space among processing nodes of a data storage system includes, by a first node in response to an event, performing local cleanup of first-node mapping data and issuing a request message to a second node, the request message identifying the data storage space to be reclaimed. The event may be a notification from a RAID component rebuilding a RAID volume. In response to the request message, the second node performs local cleanup of second-node mapping data and issues a completion message to the first node indicating that the second node has completed its part of the reclaiming of the data storage space. The first node responds to the completion message by marking the data storage space as being reclaimed and signaling to a source of the event that the data storage space is available for new use.

  • Patent number: 11224014
Abstract: Power management for remote units in a wireless distribution system. Power can be managed for a remote unit configured to power modules and devices that may require more power to operate than power available to the remote unit. For example, the remote unit may be configured to include power-consuming remote unit modules to provide communication services. As another example, the remote unit may be configured to provide power through powered ports in the remote unit to power-consuming devices. Depending on the configuration of the remote unit, the power-consuming remote unit modules and/or power-consuming devices may demand more power than is available at the remote unit. In this instance, the power available at the remote unit can be distributed to the power-consuming modules and devices based on the priority of services desired to be provided by the remote unit.
