Abstract: Virtual teleportation systems and methods are disclosed. A remote advertising system includes an identification, location and authentication system associated with a physical venue, including a master sensor node and a plurality of sensors. A cloud-based advertisement service is deployed in the physical venue. An application installed on a mobile device determines a first set of coordinates corresponding to the mobile device location, transmits a first search request for a service, receives and displays a list of services, including the physical venue associated with the master sensor node and the physical venue including a teleportation indicator, and receives an indication that the teleportation indicator is selected. The application determines a second set of coordinates corresponding to the physical venue location, replaces the first set of coordinates with the second set of coordinates, transmits a second search request, and receives and displays a second list based on the second set of coordinates.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for creating and building a model of a unique infrastructure, such as a parking structure. The model may be created through the identification of various triggers by a vehicle traversing the infrastructure. The triggers may include, for example, sensors or other devices capable of sensing the vehicle within the infrastructure. The triggers may also be information received from the vehicle itself. Based on the triggers, it may be inferred that various places exist throughout the infrastructure. For example, it may be inferred through two subsequent triggers that a place exists between the two triggers. The place may be added to the model of the infrastructure in between the two triggers. The model may continue to grow in this manner.

Abstract: Laminated liquid crystal films may be processed using a laser beam to form tear lines. Tear lines create a weak line in a liquid crystal film along which a portion of a PET layer may be torn from the whole PET layer. Tear lines are made by the precise volumetric removal of PET material from a portion of a PET layer by burning away the PET material using the laser beam. The form, extent and depth of penetration of a laser beam into a PET layer may be precisely controlled by adjusting the power and/or scan speed of the laser beam relative to the laminated liquid crystal film on which the PET layer is positioned. In this manner, a desired volume of PET material may be removed from the PET layer.

Abstract: Devices and methods are disclosed for treating tissue with microwave energy. Such devices and methods are able to treat cavities or surface tissue by creating one or more area or volumetric lesions. Also disclosed are flexible, low-profile devices that can be inserted non-invasively or minimally invasively near or into the target tissue as well as microwave antennas designed to generate ablation profiles that can ablate a large area or a large volume of target tissue in a single ablation. The devices include antennas wherein the field profile generated by an antenna is tailored and optimized for a particular clinical application. The antennas use unique properties of microwaves such as interaction of a microwave field with a metallic object and the use of additional shaping elements to shape the microwave field.

  • Publication number: 20220006942
Abstract: An imaging device may include single-photon avalanche diodes (SPADs). To improve the sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio of the SPADs, photon detection efficiency (PDE) may be increased. However increased photon detection efficiency may result in a decreased saturation rate and lower than desired dynamic range. To increase the dynamic range, a SPAD-based semiconductor device may operate with multiple sub-exposures. During the first sub-exposure, an over-bias voltage may be set to a first voltage level so that the SPADs have a first photon detection efficiency. During the second sub-exposure, the over-bias voltage may be set to a second voltage level so that the SPADs have a second photon detection efficiency that is different than the first photon detection efficiency. Image data from the first and second sub-exposures may then be combined into a single high dynamic range depth map.
