Abstract: Techniques for using a detector coupled to a controller area network (CAN) bus of a vehicle system to identify and generate alerts in response to wake-up attacks on the vehicle system. Techniques include an electronic control unit (ECU) sending a wake-up message across the CAN bus that is detected by the detector. The detector includes memory and a processor to identify the timestamp of the wake-up message when the vehicle ignition is off. The detector determines a total operational time for the ECU over an observation time period and generates a notification of a wake-up anomaly when the total operational time over the observation time period exceeds a predetermined threshold.

Abstract: A self-cleaning, automated apparatus with a filter for fluids includes a nozzle unit assembly that has two nozzle tubes, one inside of another. Each of the tubes has a respective pattern of one or more slots or holes. As the tubes rotate, one with respect to the other, part of the pattern of the one coincides at times with part of the pattern of the other, resulting in a jet of fluid directed toward a filter to remove debris from the filter. The filter is rotated so the jet can reach all parts to be cleaned. The respective patterns of the two nozzle tubes may be an approximation of a helix and/or an approximation of a line.

Abstract: A void filling asphalt emulsion and a method of using the void filling asphalt emulsion to fill voids below the surface of an asphalt pavement. The void filling emulsion is prepared by forming a base asphalt emulsion having about 45 to 75 wt. % of an asphalt content, and combining the base asphalt emulsion with a surface tension reducing solution to produce a void filling asphalt emulsion that has about 25 to 50 wt. % of an asphalt content. When applied to an asphalt pavement the void filling emulsion penetrates into the asphalt pavement and fills voids in the asphalt pavement. The void filling emulation further being water resistant so as not to be washed off a pavement surface by water after being applied to the pavement.
