  • Patent number: 12178172
Abstract: Exemplary methods for use in identifying crosses for use in plant breeding are disclosed. One exemplary method includes generating population prediction scores for each potential cross within a set of potential crosses, where each population prediction score is associated with a prediction of commercial success for the associated potential cross within the set of potential crosses. The method also includes selecting a subgroup of potential crosses, based on thresholds associated with the population prediction scores for the set of potential crosses. The exemplary method further includes selecting multiple target crosses from the subgroup of potential crosses based on a genetic relatedness of the parents in the subgroup of potential crosses, and directing ones of the selected target crosses into a breeding pipeline, thereby providing crosses to the breeding pipeline based, at least in part, on commercial success of parents included in the selected ones of the filtered crosses.

  • Patent number: 12182363
Abstract: A base noise level of a touchscreen interface for a computing device is actively and adaptively calibrated. Antenna traces forming a digitizer of the touchscreen interface are allocated into antenna regions. Antenna regions with high energy signal levels and antenna regions with low energy signal levels are identified. Signal level information from high energy antenna regions is discarded. A noise level, caused by electrical components of the computing device, is determined within signals generated in the antenna traces based at least in part upon the low energy antenna regions. The digitizer is calibrated by reducing energy levels of signals carried by the antenna traces in all antenna regions by the noise level.

  • Patent number: 12184549
Abstract: Methods and systems for dynamically re-routing layer traffic between different servers with little user-visible disruption and without modifications to the vRAN software stack are provided. This approach enables operators to initiate a PHY migration either on demand (e.g., during planned maintenances) or to set up automatic migration on unexpected events (e.g., server failures). It is recognized that PHY processing in cellular networks has no hard state that must be migrated. As a result, layer traffic such as the PHY-L2 traffic or L2-PHY traffic can be simply re-routed to a different server. This re-routing mechanism is realized by interposing one or more message controllers (e.g., middlebox) in a communication channel between the PHY and L2.
