  • Patent number: 12185446
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for providing and managing a lighting system. A lighting device of the system is configured to receive an activation signal from a user interface of the lighting device, an external communication device, or another lighting device. In response to receiving the activation signal, and if certain operational conditions are met, the lighting device may activate a light source and transmit another activation signal. Additional lighting devices receiving the activation signal from the first lighting device may also activate their light sources and retransmit the activation signal. Data carried by the activation signals and signals received from one or more sensors in each lighting device may be used by the lighting device to determine whether to activate its light source, and one or more characteristics of the light to be emitted.

  • Patent number: 12182217
Abstract: Provided are a method and system for selecting and ranking keywords, including a process through which a universe of potential keywords tied to various topics is generated and filtered. Once this is completed, search engine ranking pages (SERPs) are generated for these potential keywords. Reference text associated with topics of interest is also generated by the system of the present invention. This can be accomplished in various ways according to the teachings herein. For example, reference text can be generated using generative AI functionality. Initial reference text can be later improved upon using machine learning techniques so as to adjust reference text that is too broad or narrow in scope. Reference text and SERP results are used in connection with a model to generate semantic similarity scores which are then used for ranking and selecting keywords.

  • Patent number: 12182408
Abstract: A method, computer program product, and computing system for dividing a total IO flow rate limit between a plurality of storage nodes of a multi-node storage system. A total desired IO flow rate may be determined. Each storage node of the plurality of storage nodes may be queried for a desired IO flow rate, thus defining a plurality of desired IO flow rates. An updated IO flow rate limit may be defined, for each storage node, an updated IO flow rate limit based upon, at least in part, the total IO flow rate limit and the plurality of desired IO flow rates. One or more IO requests may be processed on the plurality of storage nodes based upon, at least in part, the updated IO flow rate limit defined for each storage node and the total desired IO flow rate.

  • Patent number: 12182550
Abstract: Mobile cascading style sheets (MCSS) are provided for use in conjunction with native mobile applications. The MCSS framework/library allows a developer to use the full potential and capabilities of the native software development kit (SDK) via a form of cascading style-sheet (CSS) code to design, build, and deploy an entire native application in much the same way a website is built with CSS. To achieve this, the system includes a compiler (consisting of an interpreter module and an applier module) configured to convert MCSS code to native SDK instructions, as described in further detail below. In this way, by simplifying the coding process, the present invention provides substantial savings in terms of both time and cost with respect to developing new applications and maintaining/updating existing applications.

  • Patent number: 12182566
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for automated software container rehydration and deployment include a server that updates a container image for a software application by modifying layers of the container image and deploying the updated container image as a first container in a passive production environment. For a plurality of traffic volumes, the server: a) increases application traffic directed to the first container to a first traffic volume, b) monitors service level indicators associated with performance of the first container, c) increases the application traffic directed to the first container to a higher traffic volume upon determining that the service level indicators are within a performance threshold, and d) repeats steps b) and c) until the application traffic is increased to a highest traffic volume and the service level indicators are within the performance threshold. The server deploys the updated container image as a second container in an active production environment.

  • Patent number: 12179712
Abstract: An improved ratchet mechanism for the tire arm of a bicycle carrier comprises a guide component disposed inside an extendable inner arm of the tire arm, a pushrod body movably held by the guide component, and a ratchet pawl rotatably supported in relation to the guide component. An actuator on the tire arm moves a pushrod inside the inner arm to move the pushrod body causing the ratchet pawl to disengage from a ratchet rack on the tire arm, allowing the inner arm to be extended by a user. The guide component guides the movement of the pushrod body to disengage a tooth portion of the ratchet pawl from the ratchet rack. The guide component, ratchet pawl, and the pushrod body comprise an improved ratchet assembly for use in an extendable tire arm for a bicycle carrier.

  • Patent number: 12184137
Abstract: A modular device that can operate as an electrical generator. First and second coil support plates are arranged in parallel orientation relative to each other forming a gap between the first and second coil support plates. Removable C-cores, each having wire coils, are removably attached to the first and second coil support plates. A rotor disc having selectively arranged magnets is disposed in the gap between the first and second coil support plates and is permitted to rotate about an axis that is perpendicular to the rotor disc and the parallel first and second coil support plates; a drive motor can power rotation of the rotor disc. As the disc rotates, electrical current is generated. The C-core assemblies can be interchanged, checked, removed and/or replaced while the electrical generator remains in operation without requiring cessation of such operation.

  • Patent number: 12184774
Abstract: The concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to time-aware blockchain staged regulatory control of Internet of Things (“IoT”) data. A federation platform can receive a registration request from an enterprise edge platform to register a blockchain identifier for publication of public data on a public blockchain. The federation platform can determine if the registration request contains any restricted data parameters. In response to determining that the registration request does not contain any restricted data parameters, the federation platform can query a security module to obtain an encryption key. The federation platform can receive the encryption key from the security module. The federation platform can store the encryption key in association with the blockchain identifier and an enterprise edge platform ID that uniquely identifies the enterprise edge platform.
