Abstract: Disclosed is a battery comprising a cover; a housing having a base, two side walls, and two end walls; a cell wall spanning between the first and second side walls defining two cells; a battery element provided within a cell, the battery element having a bottom; an element bottom gap, the element bottom gap defined in a first and second dimension by the cell width and length, and a third dimension by the distance between the base and bottom of the battery element.

Abstract: A multi-unit abutment aligning a dental implant and a screw-attached prosthesis with copings is disclosed. The multi-unit abutment has a threaded base post for attachment to the implant and a ball portion. A swivel shell surrounds the ball and may be fixed in position with a lock screw. A drive feature on the ball allows a tool passing through the lock screw to drive the base post into the implant with the multi-unit assembly in a linear configuration. The swivel shell is then positioned and fixed at a desired tilt and azimuthal angle. The swivel shell has a mating surface for a coping. The lock screw remains accessible through an aperture in the coping when the prosthesis is positioned on the implant abutments. Different embodiments are disclosed for capturing the swivel shell on the ball. Methods for improving passive alignment of the prosthesis to the implants are described.

Abstract: A guard to protect a user while cutting food (“guard”) has an outer body, a plurality of sides, and at least one grip to securely hold a piece of food within the guard. A plate is secured to the bottom of the outer body to add a further layer of protection. It is preferred that the outer body of the guard is made of a flexible material so that the sides can flex inwardly to accommodate different sizes of food. A method for using the guard to cut food has the food being placed inside the guard, the user gripping the guard and flexing the sides inwardly so that the at least one grip forms a secure connection with the outer surface of the food, and cutting the food such that the plate adds a layer of protection between the cutting instrument and the user.

Abstract: A vehicle includes a vehicle seat having a first side and a second side spaced cross-seat from each other. A seatbelt buckle is fixed to the first side. A seatbelt assembly includes a latch plate engageable with the seatbelt buckle and a webbing having a lap portion defined by the latch plate when the latch plate is engaged with the seatbelt buckle. A hook is retractably supported by the second side of the vehicle seat. The hook is retractable relative to the vehicle seat from a first position to a retracted position. The hook is engageable with the lap portion of the webbing as the hook retracts. A lock includes a pin engageable with the hook when the hook is in the first position and the retracted position. A spring biases the pin toward the hook. A pyrotechnic device is operatively coupled to the lock to disengage the pin from the hook.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for defining map data used in controlling a vehicle. In one embodiment, a method includes: receiving, by a processor, telemetry data; determining, by the processor, distribution data of a path based on the telemetry data; determining, by the processor, a plurality of sample data based on a trained machine learning model and the distribution data; generating, by the processor, at least one of lane line data and road edge data based on the sample data and a second machine learning model; and storing, by the processor, the map data including the lane line data and road edge data for use in controlling the vehicle.

Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to classify labels based on images using artificial intelligence are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a regional proposal network to determine a first bounding box for a first region of interest in a first input image of a product; and determine a second bounding box for a second region of interest in a second input image of the product; a neural network to: generate a first classification for a first label in the first input image using the first bounding box; and generate a second classification for a second label in the second input image using the second bounding box; a comparator to determine that the first input image and the second input image correspond to a same product; and a report generator to link the first classification and the second classification to the product.

Abstract: An insulin conjugate comprising or consisting of a tetra-valent sugar cluster is described. The tetra-valent sugar cluster is provided by tetra-dentate linker having four arms, wherein each arm of the tetra-dentate linker is independently covalently linked to a ligand comprising or consisting of a saccharide, such as a monosaccharide, disaccharide, trisaccharide, tetrasaccharide, or branched trisaccharide. In particular aspects, the insulin conjugate displays a pharmacokinetic (PK) and/or pharmacodynamic (PD) profile that is responsive to the systemic concentrations of a saccharide such as glucose or alpha-methylmannose.

Abstract: A lockbolt installation swage tool includes a collet assembly, a gear transmission assembly, and a sensor engine. The collet assembly has a multi-piece structural configuration to engage a pintail of the lockbolt. The gear transmission includes a pull shaft, an intermediate gear, a plurality of rollers, and a ring gear. The gear transmission assembly is operable to transfer rotation from an electric motor to a pull shaft that is operatively connected to the collet assembly. The sensor engine includes a plurality of sensors that include a plurality of redundant linear position sensors to detect linear positions of the pull shaft throughout its travel, one or more angle position sensors to detect angular orientations of the electric motor, and an electric current sensor to detect electric current at the electric motor.

Abstract: Provided are compositions and methods for reducing foliar chloroplast movement in plants and trees to enhance CO2 trapping (carbon capture) from the air while naturally increasing the oxygen in the atmosphere and diluting the concentration of greenhouse gasses. Also provided are methods for measuring foliar chloroplast avoidance in response to treatments designed to reduce avoidance.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, an indication of a trade priced relative to a reference benchmark value (e.g., a trade at index close transaction) associated with an underlying index future may be received when a basis of the trade is agreed to by parties of the trade. Moreover, the indication may be received at least one day prior to a determination of a final price and quantity of the trade. The trade might create, according to some embodiments, any derivative, such as a future, an option, or a combination of put and call options. The trade may be reported and cleared, and it may then be arranged for the trade to physically settle into the underlying index future.

Abstract: This document relates to personalized image or video processing. For example, the disclosed implementations can identify a designated user of a computing device that participates in a video call with other users. When another person appears in a video feed captured by the computing device, the other person can be removed. This can avoid distractions that can be caused, for example, by family members or pets that inadvertently walk into the field of view while a designated user is participating in a video call. Similar techniques can be employed to remove people other than designated users from still images.

The method can also include transmitting, to the secondary base station and based on applying the configuration parameter of the SCG, a first RRC reconfiguration complete message using a first security key derived based on a first counter of the plurality of counters. The method can further include transmitting, to the secondary base station and based on applying the configuration parameter of the SCG, a second RRC reconfiguration complete message using a second security key derived based on a second counter of the plurality of counters.

This enables display of a relatively-opaque virtual object in an area of a person's field of view, while providing the person with a relatively-clear view of their environment in the rest of their field of view.

In one embodiment, a ladder includes a first assembly having rails and rungs, a second assembly having rails and rungs, and one or more hinges coupling the first and second assemblies together such that the first and second assembly may be positioned relative to one another in at least a position or state and at least a second position or state. A top cap is coupled to the rails of the first assembly, such that when the first and second assemblies are in the first position, the rails of the second assembly do not contact the top cap. When the first and second assemblies are in the second position, each rail of the second assembly is at least partially nested in one of a pair of channels formed in the top cap.
