  • Patent number: 11169540
Abstract: The path of a lead autonomous vehicle moving through “deformable” terrain is shared between the lead autonomous vehicle and the following autonomous vehicles. The lead autonomous vehicle records distances to 3D obstacles and whether to drive through them, and the following autonomous vehicles will classify different “obstacles” that were driven through by the leader and allow the planner to drive through them. In “deformable” terrain, errors in wheel odometry will be recorded by the lead autonomous vehicle and the following autonomous vehicles are informed that similar problems will be encountered. These errors are sensed by discrepancies between odometry and inertial and visual odometry.

  • Patent number: 11170008
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for automatically augmenting message exchange threads based on a detected tone of messages exchanged between participants. In various implementations, a message contributed to a message exchange thread involving one or more message exchange clients by a participant may be determined. In various implementations, an idle chatter score associated with the message may be calculated. In various implementations, either a conversational response to the message or content responsive to a search query generated based on the message may be selectively incorporated into the message exchange thread based at least in part on the idle chatter score. In some implementations, a search query suitability score associated with the message may also be calculated.

  • Patent number: 11171926
Abstract: Communication between web frames increases consistent application of security policies, without reducing security. A proxy receives a first request implicating a first web frame and its URL, potentially issues a sub-request and gets a sub-response, and creates a first response to the first request, including a control frame child creation in frame creation or frame navigation code. The control frame child code only permits setting and retrieving data of a browser store, using postMessage( ) without reference to external resources or external scripts. Safely sharing message data this way between frames allows the proxy to ascertain a policy based on the shared data, so the proxy and browser can apply the policy in reactions to subsequent requests, allows window frames to be associated together in the proxy, allows initialization control, supports reporting, and otherwise enhances browsing without reducing security.

  • Patent number: 11169988
Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices for a radar recognition-aided search. Through use of a radar-based recognition system, gestures made by, and physiological information about, persons can be determined. In the case of physiological information, the techniques can use this information to refine a search. For example, if a person requests a search for a coffee shop, the techniques may refine the search to coffee shops in the direction that the person is walking. In the case of a gesture, the techniques may refine or base a search solely on the gesture. Thus, a search for information about a store, car, or tree can be made responsive to a gesture pointing at the store, car, or tree with or without explicit entry of a search query.

  • Patent number: 11170459
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments described in this disclosure are generally directed to systems and methods for receiving a ride request from a user of a user device and utilizing an imaging system located in a vehicle of a ride service to capture an image of a seating area of the vehicle. The image is processed by a processor to identify a seat occupancy status and generate a seat availability diagram based on the seat occupancy status. The seat availability diagram is transmitted to the user device, and the user is prompted to either select a seat by using the seat availability diagram or to allow the system to assign any seat in the vehicle. If a seat selection is made, the system responds by reserving the selected seat and may further provide instructions to the user for entering the vehicle through a specific door located closest to the selected seat.

  • Patent number: 11170901
Abstract: A molten salt reactor includes a nuclear reactor core for sustaining a nuclear fission reaction fueled by a molten fuel salt. A molten fuel salt control system removes a volume of the molten fuel salt from the nuclear reactor core to maintain a reactivity parameter within a range of nominal reactivity. The molten fuel salt control system includes a molten fuel salt exchange system that fluidically couples to the nuclear reactor core and exchanges a volume of the molten fuel salt with a volume of a feed material containing a mixture of a selected fertile material and a carrier salt. The molten fuel salt control system can include a volumetric displacement control system having one or more volumetric displacement bodies insertable into the nuclear reactor core. Each volumetric displacement body can remove a volume of molten fuel salt from the nuclear reactor core, such as via a spill-over system.
