Abstract: Multi-policy interleaved snapshot lineage is described herein. A method can include assigning a virtual storage volume at a remote storage system to a local storage device according to first and second data retention policies for first and second storage groups, respectively, that comprise the local storage device; obtaining a first data snapshot of the local storage device at a first time according to the first data retention policy; in response to the obtaining the first data snapshot, transferring a first incremental representation of the first data snapshot to the virtual storage volume; obtaining a second data snapshot of the local storage device at a second time according to the second data retention policy; and in response to the obtaining the second data snapshot, transferring a second incremental representation of the second data snapshot to the virtual storage volume.

Abstract: Healthcare object (HCO) discriminator systems and methods are presented. Systems can obtain a digital representation of a scene via a sensor interface. An HCO discriminator platform analyzes the digital representation to discriminate objects within the scene as being associated with a type of HCO or as being unrelated to a type of HCO. Once the HCO recognition platform determines that a type of HCO is relevant, it instantiates an actual HCO. The HCO can be routed to one or more destinations based on routing rules generated from a template or based on the manner in which the objects in the scene were discriminated.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein are directed towards authenticating calls by using one or more keys associated with a specific user. In examples, the user is the sender of a call. In various embodiments, when a call is made, an identifying payload is encrypted using a private key associated with the user. The encrypted identifying payload is appended to the call data stream. The identifying payload may be decrypted with a public key. In embodiments, the identifying payload may be verified. In various embodiments, further authentication methods may be performed by using an object such as a contactless card to provide one or more components of the identifying payload and/or keys. In embodiments, a connection may be made between the sender and the intended recipient of a call based on the verification of the identifying payload.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosed technology include a method including receiving, from a user device, an identification of content; receiving, by a computing device, the identified content; accessing search engine processing logic; processing the received content using the subset of search engine processing logic, without indexing the received content to be accessed for responding to search queries from the search engine; generating a representation of a predicted search result of the received content based on the processing; and transmitting, to the user device, the representation of the predicted search result.

Abstract: A data capture component receives a video stream comprising a plurality of frames, wherein each frame comprises a data field. One or more text regions in a selected frame of the plurality of frames are identified. One of the one or more identified text regions that corresponds to a set of attributes associated with the data field are selected. The data of the one of the one or more identified text regions of the selected frame are compared with data of one or more text regions of a subsequent frame. Responsive to determining that the data of the one or more text regions of the subsequent frame is a closer match to the set of attributes, the data of the one of the one or more identified text regions of the selected frame are updated. The data of the one of the one or more identified text regions is then provided to a client device.

Abstract: A method of signaling an intra prediction mode used to encode a current block in an encoded video bitstream using at least one processor includes determining a plurality of candidate intra prediction modes; generating a most probable mode (MPM) list using the plurality of candidate intra prediction modes; signaling a reference line index indicating a reference line used to encode the current block from among a plurality of reference lines including an adjacent reference line and a plurality of non-adjacent reference lines; and signaling an intra mode index indicating the intra prediction mode, wherein the MPM list is generated based on the reference line used to encode the current block and whether an intra sub-partition (ISP) mode is enabled.

Abstract: A connector assembly includes a first member, a threaded shaft, a nut, a set of first teeth, a set of second teeth, and a tab. The threaded shaft is disposed about an axis. The nut is threadably engaged with the threaded shaft. The nut includes a plurality of radially outward extending protrusions. The first teeth face axially and are non-rotatably coupled to the first member. The second teeth are configured to mate with the first teeth. The second teeth are coupled to the threaded shaft for axial movement relative to the threaded shaft and for common rotation with the threaded shaft. The tab is non-rotatable relative to the first member. The tab engages the protrusions to inhibit rotation of the nut relative to the first member.

Abstract: In an FCC apparatus and process structured packing should be located at the very top of the stripping section in an upper region. The lower region below the structural packing may be equipped with fluidization equipment such as stripping media distributors and one or more gratings. This arrangement enables stripping of entrained hydrocarbons off the incoming catalyst immediately upon entry into the stripping section allowing the entrained hydrocarbon to exit the stripping section with minimized residence time to minimize post-riser cracking. Revamp of stripping sections with tall stripping sections should conducted in this way to improve performance and reduce down-time for equipment installation.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for encoding surveillance video where one or more regions of interest are identified and the encoding parameter values associated with those regions are specified in accordance with intermediate outputs of a video analytics process. Such an analytics-modulated video compression approach allows the coding process to adapt dynamically based on the content of the surveillance images. In this manner, the fidelity of the region of interest is increased relative to that of a background region such that the coding efficiency is improved, including instances when no target objects appear in the scene. Better compression results can be achieved by assigning different coding priority levels to different types of detected objects.

Abstract: Competitors are classified in terms of products the competitors offer. A product set is generated from product information received from a user. Also, a competitor set is generated, where the competitor set comprises at least one competitor determined to be relevant to one or more products in the product set. A target price rule is generated that is operative to change a price offered by the user for the at least one product. A competitor's relevancy can be determined by considering factors such as: (1) unique visitors to the competitor's website, (2) reviews on the competitor's website (3), ratings on the competitor's website, (4) absolute number of products common to the user's website and the competitor's website, (5) percentage number of products common to the user's website and the competitor's website, and (6) number of products offered by the competitor that comprise the product set.

Abstract: A stator assembly for an electric motor includes a laminate steel core arranged on an axis. The stator assembly also includes a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet. The stator assembly additionally includes a stator housing arranged on the axis concentrically with respect to the laminate steel core. The stator housing has a conduit fluidly connected to each of the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet and configured to circulate fluid around the laminate steel core. The stator assembly also includes a structural skeleton embedded in the stator housing. The structural skeleton is thereby configured to reinforce the stator housing. An electric motor employing the above-described stator assembly is also contemplated.

Abstract: A dual tire buffing apparatus includes a turntable having a first end and an opposite second end. The turntable is rotatable about a central axis between first and second positions. A first expandable hub is rotatably coupled to the turntable proximate the first end. The first expandable hub is configured to receive a first tire casing. A second expandable hub is rotatably coupled to the turntable proximate the second end. The second expandable hub is configured to receive a second tire casing. A rasp head is positioned to operatively engage the first tire casing on the first expandable hub when the turntable is in the first position to perform a buffing operation on the first tire casing, and to operatively engage the second tire casing on the second expandable hub when the turntable is in the second position to perform a buffing operation on the second tire casing.

The application instantiates a key-value store and a file system associated with the operating system. The method also includes managing, by a block device service running within the user space, one or more first data blocks of a persistent storage allocated to the key value store and one or more second data blocks of the persistent storage allocated to the file system. In addition, the method includes receiving, by a kernel of the operating system, a system call request comprising an access request generated by the key-value store or the file system. The method further includes granting, by the block device service, and in response to the access request, the key value store or the file system access to the one or more first or second data blocks.

Abstract: A provided wireless wallbox dimmer may accommodate a plurality of button configurations. The dimmer may be configured to contain a variable number of controllably conductive devices. The dimmer may include a yoke that defines a first plane and an antenna that defines a second plane that is substantially parallel to and spaced apart from the first plane. The yoke may have a flange that is oriented angularly offset relative to the first plane and provides a plurality of mounting locations for controllably conductive devices. The antenna may provide the dimmer with a first wireless transmission range. The dimmer may include a faceplate that cooperates with the antenna to provide the dimmer with a second wireless transmission range that is broader than the first wireless transmission range. The dimmer may include a button assembly that is supported independently of the yoke.

Abstract: A system for connecting and monitoring a magnetic operator interface assembly. The assembly can provide protection of an operator interface by limiting glare, UV damage, and exposure to rain. It can also protect the operator interface from high pressure cleaning equipment. The assembly is removably magnetically mountable to a sealed enclosure without breaching the enclosure's seal. The magnetic operator interface assembly can withstand operational forces, staying at a magnetically fixed position and without becoming accidentally detached. It is also easy to intentionally install and remove. The system may include sensors that can inform a local or remote dashboard about the status of the magnetic operator interface assembly, such as whether it is installed and whether the cover is open or closed. The system may also include a locking system to prevent tampering and limit access to the operator interface.

Abstract: A flow table management system can include a hardware memory module communicatively coupled to a network interface card. The hardware memory module is configured to store a flow table including a plurality of network flow entries. The network interface card further includes a flow table age cache configured to store a set of recently active network flows and a flow table management module configured to manage a duration for which respective network flow entries in the flow table stored in the hardware memory module remain in the flow table using the flow table age cache. In some implementations, age information about each respective flow in the flow table is stored in the hardware memory module in an age state table that is separate from the flow table.
