  • Patent number: 11145233
Abstract: Implementations for masking for mitigating visual contrast of a camera region of a display are described. Generally, the described techniques provide ways for mitigating visual differences between a camera region and other regions of a display. For instance, visual masks can be generated and displayed overlapping and/or peripherally to a camera region of a display to smooth a visual transition between the camera region and other regions of the display. The masks, for example, are displayed in regions of the display that surround the camera region. Further, color attributes of the masks can be configured to provide a gradual visual transition from color output at the camera region to color output at other regions of the display.

  • Patent number: 11145994
Abstract: Disclosed is a high performance low cost multiband antenna configuration that has a low band dipole having dipole arms formed of stamped sheet metal that has a plurality of slots. Some of the slots are oriented along a longitudinal axis of the low band dipole arm, and others are oriented orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The presence of the slots creates a plurality of inductor structures, which act has cloaking structures that make the low band dipole substantially transparent to high band RF energy without inhibiting the performance of the dipole in the low band.

  • Patent number: 11147032
Abstract: A method, system, and medium are provided for optimizing a user experience based on periodicity modifications. In embodiments, when a large volume of UE are located in a particular sector of a cell site, the periodicity of a synchronization block transmitted from a base station may be adjusted in order to change a rate or speed of on-loading user equipment at the cell site. In some embodiments, by shortening the periodicity of a synchronization block, user equipment may be more quickly on-loaded to a wireless network at the cell site.

  • Patent number: 11142668
Abstract: Processes disclosed are capable of converting biomass into high-crystallinity, hydrophobic cellulose. In some variations, the process includes fractionating biomass with an acid (such as sulfur dioxide), a solvent (such as ethanol), and water, to generate cellulose-rich solids and a liquid containing hemicellulose and lignin; and depositing lignin onto cellulose fibers to produce lignin-coated cellulose materials (such as dissolving pulp). The crystallinity of the cellulose material may be 80% or higher, translating into good reinforcing properties for composites. Optionally, sugars derived from amorphous cellulose and hemicellulose may be separately fermented, such as to monomers for various polymers. These polymers may be combined with the hydrophobic cellulose to form completely renewable composites.

  • Patent number: 11146587
Abstract: Methods and systems for service integrated domain name servers are described. A method for out of path border gateway protocol (BGP) validation includes receiving, at a network component, a prefix announcement. The network component denies acceptance of the prefix announcement. A BGP monitor at the network component sends the prefix announcement to an out of path validation controller. The out of path validation controller evaluates the prefix announcement against one or more validation tests, sends a validation notification based on the one or more validation tests, and programs the network component for a validated prefix announcement.
