Patent number: 11136023Abstract: A moving object such as a vehicle is identified within an intersection having multiple exits. The moving object and the intersection and its exits may be identified based on sensor data obtained from various sensors mounted on an ADV. An exit coordinate map is generated based on the orientation of the moving object and a relative position of each of the exits of the intersection with respect to the current position of the moving object. For each of the exits, an exit probability of the exit that the moving object likely exits the intersection using the exit coordinate map. Thereafter, a trajectory of the ADV is planned to navigate through the intersection to avoid the collision with the moving object based on the exit probabilities of the exits of the intersection. The above process is iteratively performed for each of the moving objects detected within the proximity of the intersection.Type: GrantFiled: May 7, 2019Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: BAIDU USA LLCInventors: Hongyi Sun, Jiacheng Pan, Kecheng Xu, Yajia Zhang, Jinghao Miao

Patent number: 11138522Abstract: A method for allocating resources for a machine learning model is disclosed. A machine learning model to be executed on a special purpose machine learning model processor is received. A computational data graph is generated from the machine learning model. The computational dataflow graph represents the machine learning model which includes nodes, connector directed edges, and parameter directed edges. The operations of the computational dataflow graph is scheduled and then compiled using a deterministic instruction set architecture that specifies functionality of a special purpose machine learning model processor. An amount of resources required to execute the computational dataflow graph is determined. Resources are allocated based on the determined amounts of resources required to execute the machine learning model represented by the computational dataflow graph.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2020Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: Google LLCInventors: Jonathan Ross, John Michael Stivoric

Patent number: 11138310Abstract: Devices and nodes associated with a vehicle may communicate using a higher-level, common messaging protocol over an ad-hoc network to publish and subscribe to services, even though different nodes may utilize different types of links and channels. The network includes a rules node that is fixedly connected to the vehicle and that stores a set of rules. Given a possible publisher, subscriber, and/or a service, a node action is allowed or denied based on the set of rules. The rules may be generated or updated based on priorities, security levels, and/or characteristics of publishers, subscribers, their respective users, and/or services; a current dynamic condition; and/or user input. The rules node and at least one other node may be transported by the vehicle, and both transported nodes and nodes external to the vehicle may use the common messaging protocol to join the ad-hoc network, discover other nodes, authenticate, and publish/consume services.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2018Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: GOGO BUSINESS AVIATION LLCInventors: Ronald A. Patent number: 11140122Abstract: In certain embodiments, a communication (comm) network has interconnected comm systems and a mapping engine, each comm system having one or more Layer 1 (L1) components physically connected to one or more Layer 2 (L2) components, wherein components are physically connected to L1 components of different comm systems. Logical connections between the L2 components of the different comm systems are determined using a link-layer discovery process (LLDP), and physical connections between the L1 and L2 components of each comm system are determined using LLDP snooping. The mapping engine queries the L2 components for LLDP results and the L1 components for LLDP snooping results and generates end-to-end mappings for circuits between the L2 components of the different comm systems, where the end-to-end mappings are represented in a circuit inventory database that can be accessed to avoid system outages when the network is modified.Type: GrantFiled: January 19, 2021Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: Charter Communications Operating. Patent number: 11138118Abstract: The sizes of cache partitions, in a partitioned cache, are dynamically adjusted by determining, for each request, how many cache misses will occur in connection with implementing the request against the cache partition. The cache partition associated with the current request is increased in size by the number of cache misses and one or more other cache partitions is decreased in size causing cache evictions to occur from the other cache partitions rather than from the current cache partition. The other cache partitions, that are to be decreased in size, may be determined by ranking the cache partitions according to frequency of use and selecting the least frequently used cache partition to be reduced in size.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2020Date of Patent: October 5, 2021Assignee: EMC IP Holding Company LLCInventors: Hugo de Oliveira Barbalho, Jonas Furtado Dias, VinÃcius Michel Gottin
