Abstract: An audio playback system may be adaptable to various situations for improved user experience and audio playback quality. For example, earbuds may be both worn by a same user, worn by two different users within audio range of one another, worn by two different users outside of audio range of one another, etc. A second earbud with a secondary microphone operates in a second mode in which it captures audio and encodes it for transmission to the first earbud having a primary microphone. The first earbud with the primary microphone operates in a first mode in which it mixes the audio received from the second earbud with audio received through its own microphone for playback. The first earbud in the first mode may also delay its own microphone stream to compensate for wireless transmission delay and correlate the two audio streams to improve audio quality in case there are sounds that can be picked up by both microphones.
Abstract: This present disclosure relates to processes for methylation of aromatics in an aromatics complex for producing a xylene isomer product. More specifically, the present disclosure relates to a process for producing para-xylene by the selective methylation of toluene and/or benzene in an aromatics complex using mild reaction conditions, namely a combination of low temperatures and elevated pressures using a zeolite with lower number of external acid sites.

Abstract: Various aspects of the subject technology relate to prediction of eye movements of a user of a head-mountable display device. Predictive foveated display systems and methods, using the predicted eye movements are also disclosed. Predictive variable focus display systems and methods using the predicted eye movements are also disclosed. Predicting eye movements may include predicting a future gaze location and/or predicting a future vergence plane for the user's eyes, based on the current motion of one or both of the user's eyes. The predicted gaze location may be used to pre-render a foveated display image frame with a high-resolution region at the predicted gaze location. The predicted vergence plane may be used to modify an image plane of a display assembly to mitigate or avoid a vergence/accommodation conflict for the user.

Abstract: The present publication discloses a method for manufacturing a circuit-board structure. In the method, a conductor layer is made, which comprises a conductor foil and a conductor pattern on the surface of the conductor foil. A component is attached to the conductor layer and the conductor layer is thinned, in such a way that the conductor material of the conductor layer is removed from outside the conductor pattern.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed of an airflow cooling solution for a battery backup unit (BBU) using a crossflow cooling module. The cooling module includes a housing with a module inlet and a module outlet positioned at a non-zero angle relative to each other. The module outlet has an area greater than the module inlet. A crossflow fan package is positioned in the cooling module housing. The crossflow fan package includes a fan housing having a fan inlet and a fan outlet; the fan inlet is fluidly coupled to the module inlet, and the fan outlet is fluidly coupled to the module outlet. One or more inlet air baffles form an inlet air channel between the module inlet and the fan inlet, and one or more outlet air baffles form a diverging outlet air channel between the fan outlet and the module outlet. The cooling module can distribute the airflow to a much wider area to the BBU module. Then a rack level crossflow air cooling configuration is proposed.
Abstract: A computer system for allowing user to communicate with text enhanced with emotional preset having attributes and kinetics including computer readable instructions that, when executed by a processor, perform the steps of: receiving a set of text characters, receiving an emotional preset selection information, creating a unlined animated text message or unlined social message, transmitting the unlined messages to a recipient using CMC or social media to receive the message to convey to the recipient the emotional communications selected by the sender.
Abstract: This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to the distribution of routes in a telecommunications network. A networking device may receive a plurality of routing information from the plurality of edge devices of a telecommunications network, each of the plurality of routing information comprising a local preferred route for a corresponding edge device. The networking device may generate a plurality of routing tables, each of the plurality of routing tables associated with a corresponding edge device of the plurality of edge devices and comprising the local preferred route for the corresponding edge device. The networking device may update the local preferred route of a first routing table of the plurality of routing tables with the local preferred route of a second routing table of the plurality of routing tables.
Abstract: The life cycle of one or more containers related to one or more containerized applications is managed by determining that a predefined retention time for a first container of a plurality of containers has elapsed; in response to the determining, suspending new session traffic to the first container; and waiting for a predefined session dilution time before terminating the first container and/or changing a role of the first container. In some embodiments, the session dilution time allows existing sessions to complete before the first container is disconnected from a service platform.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided. One method is providing access to systems of a vehicle from an application. The method includes encoding, by an application, an application programming interface (API) call to the vehicle. The encoding provides for secure communication of the API call to an API subsystem of the vehicle. The API subsystem of the vehicle is configured to decode the encoding. Sending the API call to the vehicle using the encoding. The API call is configured to provide an instruction to obtain information from a subsystem of the vehicle or send an instruction to the subsystem of the vehicle. The sending of the API call to the vehicle is via the application that operates as a third party application that is programmed for communicating with the vehicle via the API call. The method includes receiving, via the third party application, vehicle data sent encoded via the API subsystem of the vehicle responsive to the API call to obtain information.
Abstract: A communication technique for synchronizing a set of radio nodes is described. In this communication technique, the radio node arbitrates (e.g., using a precision time protocol or PTP) with the other radio nodes based on a selection technique to select a synchronization master in the set of radio nodes. This synchronization master may be selected to have a predefined performance based on a type of communication environment of the set of radio nodes. For example, the type of communication environment may include overlap between at least one of the radio nodes in the set of radio nodes and a macrocell in a cellular-telephone network, or may exclude overlap between the set of radio nodes and the macrocell. Moreover, the synchronization master may specify time, frequency, and phase synchronization for the set of radio nodes. Thus, when the synchronization master is different from the radio node, the radio node synchronizes with the synchronization master.
