Abstract: A system and method for the present invention requires use of a generator, in combination with a radiation unit, to radiate electromagnetic waveform energy onto a target tissue (i.e. a cellular structure). During radiation of the target tissue in accordance with a predetermined titration-like protocol, the influence of the waveform energy on the cellular structure is periodically monitored. The protocol is stopped when the cellular structure has been transformed or morphed into a desired phenotype.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for extending the period a nuclear steam supply system spent fuel pool can be safely passively cooled by storing the spent fuel offloaded from the reactor, in the containment for one reactor operating cycle. During a refueling the spent fuel that is not to be returned to the reactor and the spent fuel that will be returned to the reactor are stored separately in shielded locations within the containment. After one operating cycle, the spent fuel stored within the containment that was not returned to the reactor just prior to the last operating cycle, is offloaded to the spent fuel pool and replaced by the newly offloaded spent fuel that is being retired.
Abstract: A cooler for holding ice and other items includes a body defining a cavity operable to hold ice and other items, a lid, and a lock operable to hold the lid in an open position. The body has a first region that defines an opening and a second region. The lid is coupled with the second region of the body, and positionable to a closed position and to an open position. The lock includes a first component that extends from the body's second region, and a second component that extends from the lid. The first component and the second component are each configured to contact each other, when the lid is in the open position, to prevent the lid from moving toward the closed position, and to allow the lid to move toward the open position, when the lid is in the closed position.

Such a leadframe spacer may include a leadframe surface that provides a die attach pad (DAP) that is shared by at least two semiconductor devices. The leadframe spacer may include at least one downset, where the semiconductor devices may be attached within a recess defined by the at least one downset. A first substrate may be connected to a first side of the leadframe. A second substrate may be connected to downset surfaces of the at least one downset, and positioned for further connection to the semiconductor devices in a double-sided assembly.
Abstract: An automotive vehicle includes a cabin, an optical sensor arranged to capture images of the cabin, a light control system operable to modify an intensity or direction of incident light in the cabin, and a controller. The controller is configured to automatically, in response to an object detection request, control the optical sensor to capture a first image of the cabin with a first incident light configuration, control the light control system to modify an intensity or direction of incident light in the cabin to a second incident light configuration, control the optical sensor to capture a second image of the cabin with the second incident light configuration, detect a change in a shadow between the first image and the second image, infer the presence of an object in the cabin based on the change in shadow, and perform a corrective action based on the presence of the object.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides binding proteins (e.g., antibodies or antigen binding fragments thereof) that specifically bind to Klebsiella pneumoniae O1 and induce opsonophagocytic killing of Klebsiella (e.g., Klebsiella pneumoniae). The present disclosure also provides methods of reducing Klebsiella (e.g., Klebsiella pneumoniae) or treating or preventing Klebsiella (e.g., Klebsiella pneumoniae) infection in a subject comprising administering the Klebsiella pneumoniae O1 binding proteins, (e.g., antibodies or antigen-binding fragments thereof) to the subject.
Abstract: The fabrication of robust interfaces between transition metal oxides and non-aqueous electrolytes is one of the great challenges of lithium ion batteries. Atomic layer deposition (ALD) of aluminum tungsten fluoride (AlWxFy) improves the electrochemical stability of LiCoO2. AlWxFy thin films were deposited by combining trimethylaluminum and tungsten hexafluoride. in-situ quartz crystal microbalance and transmission electron microscopy studies show that the films grow in a layer-by-layer fashion and are amorphous nature. Ultrathin AlWxFy coatings (<10 ?) on LiCoO2 significantly enhance stability relative to bare LiCoO2 when cycled to 4.4 V. The coated LiCoO2 exhibited superior rate capability (up to 400 mA/g) and discharge capacities at a current of 400 mA/g were 51% and 92% of the first cycle capacities for the bare and AlWxFy coated materials.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for performing a three dimensional (3D) printing process. A primary light beam having a wavelength sufficient to initiate polymerization of a photoresin is generated and patterned into a patterned primary beam. The patterned primary beam is directed toward an ultraviolet (UV) or visible light sensitive photoresin to initiate polymerization of select areas of the photoresin. The photoresin is also illuminated with a secondary light beam having a wavelength of at least one of about 765 nm, 1064 nm, or 1273 nm. The secondary light beam stimulates triplet oxygen into singlet oxygen, which controls oxygen inhibition in additional areas bordering the select areas, to enable controlled polymerization inhibition in the additional areas bordering the select areas.

Abstract: The problem of contaminants entering a microphone assembly through a pressure equalization aperture is mitigated by moving the pressure equalization aperture from a location near the acoustic port to a location on the cover of the microphone assembly. This is achieved by fabricating an aperture reduction structure using a separate dedicated die, with an aperture of diameter ˜25 microns or less disposed on the aperture reduction structure, and then coupling the aperture reduction structure to the cover of the microphone. The relatively smaller aperture on the cover after the coupling of the aperture reduction structure is used for pressure equalization of the back volume of the microphone with a pressure outside of the microphone assembly.
Abstract: A personal electronic device mount has a mounting bracket with a left jaw, a right jaw and a central support. The mount, which can be used for large cell phones, permits the device to be held in either a “portrait” orientation or a “landscape” orientation. Each of the left jaw, right jaw and central support has an engagement plate with plural corrugations that constrain the left and right jaws to horizontal sliding movement. The corrugations form surfaces on each of the engagement plates which interface with corresponding surfaces on each of the other engagement plates. The engagement plates of the left and right jaws move with respect to each other and with respect to the engagement plate of the central support. A left jaw clamp and a right jaw clamp independently affix the left jaw engagement plate and the right jaw engagement plate to the central support engagement plate at positions as desired by the user.
