Abstract: An electronic device is located in a room. The device has a casing, a first processor coupled to a radar transceiver, a second processor coupled to a motion sensor, and memory. Using the second processor, the device determines using signals from the motion sensor whether an object is in proximity. In accordance with a determination that the object is in proximity, the device wakes up the first processor. Using the first processor, the device enables operation of the radar transceiver. It determines using signals from the radar transceiver whether the object is in contact with the casing. In accordance with a determination that the object is in contact with the casing, the device identifies an input command based on at least one of: a location of the object, and a movement of the object, and adjusts operation based on the input command.

Abstract: A system and methods for collaborating on a musical composition over a communication network, the system having processing circuitry that obtains the musical composition stored within a data storage device of the system, the musical composition including a first musical input data associated with a first channel, receives, via the communication network, second musical input data from a client device, the second musical input data being associated with a second channel, generates a data block based on the received second musical input data, the generated data block including synchronization data associated with the second musical input data relative to at least a portion of the musical composition, and transmits the data block to memory, the memory being accessible via the communication network to the client device and other client devices that are collaborating on the musical composition.

Abstract: A blockchain analytics system facilitates determination of parameters of blockchain objects for analytics. Examples of parameters of the blockchain object may include an identity of a participant, a role of a participant, a type of the blockchain object and the like. The system may store parameters of blockchain objects in the data repository. The system may use the determined parameters to generate a machine learning blockchain analytics model. The system may generate visualizations, detect patterns and/or for detecting anomalies based on the machine learning blockchain analytics model.

Abstract: A cat litter box mat having a planar upper layer which overlaps and covers a planar lower layer. In some embodiments, the planar upper layer includes a pair of planar upper layers. Abstract: The present invention generally relates to skin care and, in particular, to systems and methods for treating and/or preventing acne. Acne is believed to be caused by a combination of factors, including Propionibacterium acnes bacteria, excess sebum production, and inflammation from the immune response (e.g., in response to P. acnes). Certain aspects of the invention are thus directed to one or more compositions that collectively target these factors, although it should be understood that a single composition may target more than one factor at a time. For instance, in one set of embodiments, a treatment may include a first composition that cleans the skin, a second composition that contains growth inhibitor of P. acnes (e.g., for use during the day), and a third composition that inhibits sebum production (e.g., for use during the night). One or more of these may contain other components, such as anti-inflammatory agents, moisturizers, topical anti-microbial agents (e.g., salicylic acid), or the like.

Abstract: A luminaire includes a speaker positioned at a first depth within a luminaire housing and capable of generating an audio output from a speaker diaphragm. The luminaire also includes a light source that generates a light output. Further, the luminaire includes a light guide assembly positioned at a second depth within the luminaire housing different from the first depth. The light guide assembly includes an acoustically transparent area positioned along a sound path from the speaker diaphragm, and the light guide assembly extracts the light output from the light source and directs the light output away from the luminaire.

Abstract: A safety container having a container section with a container body and a lip portion above an inner surface of a passage in the body. A cover section conforms to at least a part of the lip portion and is coupled thereto. A sealing member is coupled to a bottom portion of the cover section. A locking pin is slidably mounted to the bottom portion of the cover section and engageable with the container section. In a locked position, the container section and the cover section are locked by the locking pin outer end engaging the lip portion outer end, and the sealing member engaging the container body inner surface, to seal the passage of the container body. In an open position, the locking pin and the lip portion are disengaged, and the locking pin is engaged upward to at least partially remove the cover section from the container section.

Abstract: Provided herein is a device for reinforcing the lower body during the performance of a compound weightlifting exercise including at least two thigh bands, each defining an opening for a wearer's thigh, at least two biasing straps, each biasing strap having a proximal end and a distal end, each biasing strap connected at the distal end thereof to one of the at least two generally circular thigh bands, and a waist portion connected to the proximal end of each biasing strap. When worn, each of the biasing straps extends between the waist portion and the thigh bands, over one of the wearer's buttocks and a rear portion of the wearer's thigh.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to communication with payment terminals via TCP/IP protocol. Using network technology and novel processes, in particular embodiments, the present systems and methods facilitate local network discovery and communication between a payment terminal and an electronic cash register (“ECR”) via a browser. For example, in certain embodiments, the present systems and methods leverage TCP/IP network technology to securely facilitate communications between SaaS ECR software running in a browser environment and one or more payment terminals.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for predicting responsiveness to immune therapy in lung cancer. The method includes the steps of: identifying a first population of known responders and a second population of known non-responders; processing imaging data for the first and second populations using quantitative textural analysis (QTA); generating, for each member of both populations, quantitative metrics using the QTA; performing logistic regression on the quantitative metrics for both populations to yield a predictive signature expressed in the form of Y=Mx+B where x comprises mean pixel density; performing QTA on a lung cancer scan for a subsequent patient; comparing the predictive signature to one or more relevant metrics associated with the subsequent patient; and predicting responsiveness to immune therapy for the subsequent patient based on the comparison.

A current location of the user in the online game is identified. A map of vector points defined for the online game is traversed in a backward direction from a vector point corresponding to location of the game objective to the current location, to identify vector points corresponding to activities performed by a plurality of prior players to achieve the game objective for the online game. A predicate list of the activities identified from the traversing is generated for presenting to the user. The predicate list specifies a sequence in which the activities need to be performed to achieve the game objective. The activities presented in the predicate list are dynamically adjusted based on changes to the current location of the user detected in the online game.
