Abstract: An aspect of performing on-demand remote snapshot creation for a synchronous replication session between a local system and a remote system of a storage system includes receiving a request for the remote snapshot on the remote system and identifying a current state of the synchronous replication session. The current state is one of a plurality of states. An aspect also includes implementing one or more actions with respect to the remote snapshot as a function of the current state. The actions are performed prior to transitioning from the current state to another state of the plurality of states.

Abstract: A walk-behind tractor has an increased ground clearance to define a plant receiving space that has a greater height than a conventional walk-behind tractor having a straight axle. The walk-behind tractor has trailing drop arms from a frame that carry wheel axles that result in an elevated height of a driveshaft. The elevated driveshaft increases the ground clearance for taller plants to pass therebeneath during operation of the walk-behind tractor which would otherwise be too tall to pass below a conventional straight axle walk-behind tractor.

Abstract: A broadband optical amplifier for operation in the 2 ?m visible wavelength band is based upon a single-clad Tm-doped fiber amplifier (TDFA). A compact pump source uses a combination of low-power laser diode with a fiber laser to provide a multi-watt pump beam without needing to include thermal management and/or pump wavelength stability components. The broadband optical amplifier is therefore able to be relatively compact device with fiber coupled output powers of >0.5 W CW, high small signal gain, low noise figure, and large OSNR, important for use as a versatile wideband preamplifier or power booster amplifier.

Abstract: A workload manager uses on-band and off-band metrics to select a host server in a cluster to handle a connection request. The on-band metrics include CPU usage, memory usage, and vulnerability metrics. The off-band metrics include hardware component error logs. Utilization and vulnerability scores are calculated for each host server from the on-band metrics. A reliability score is calculated for each host server from the off-band metrics. A health score for each host server is calculated from the vulnerability and reliability scores. The health score is used to exclude unhealthy host servers from consideration. A priority score is calculated for each host server from the utilization, vulnerability, and reliability scores. The host server that has not been excluded and has the greatest priority score is selected to handle the connection request.

  • Publication number: 20210276512
Abstract: The disclosure is generally directed to systems and methods for reducing power consumption in a smart key of a vehicle. In an exemplary method, an accelerometer in the smart key detects that the smart key is moving. For example, an individual may be carrying the smart key in his/her pocket and walking towards the vehicle. However, an RF transceiver circuit of the smart key may be out of range of a communication system in the vehicle. A processor in the smart key may place some circuits, such as a wakeup receiver, in a power-down condition, based on detecting the moving state of the smart key and a lack of communications between the Bluetooth® transceiver circuit and the communication system of the vehicle. The wakeup receiver typically has a smaller operating range than the RF transceiver circuit and is therefore unnecessary when the smart key is far from the vehicle.
