    Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a device for fronthaul communication between a baseband unit (BBU) and a remote unit (RU). A processor of the device is configured to receive, using a first fronthaul interface of the device, fronthaul data originating from said first one of the BBU and the RU. The fronthaul data is formatted according to a first fronthaul protocol when received using the first fronthaul interface. The processor is further configured to format at least some of the fronthaul data received using the first fronthaul interface so as to be formatted according to a second fronthaul protocol thereby producing reformatted fronthaul data and forward, using a second fronthaul interface of the device, the reformatted fronthaul data towards said second one of the BBU and the RU.

    Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure relate to hostname pre-localization. In examples, a service uses a content distribution network (CDN) to provide at least a part of the computing functionality associated with the service. A pre-localized hostname may be used to direct the client computing device to a specific edge server of the CDN that is associated with the computing functionality. In examples, a service receives an initiation request from a client computing device for the computing functionality provided by the CDN. The service generates a pre-localization request comprising pre-localization information and provides the pre-localization request to the CDN. Accordingly, the CDN generates a pre-localized hostname associated with an edge server based on the pre-localization information. The pre-localized hostname is provided to the service, which is then provided to the client computing device, thereby directing the client computing device to the specific edge server of the CDN.

The microcontroller is configured to output Core Timing Control (CTC) signals that are used to control voltages applied in the memory structure. In one aspect, information from which the CTC signals may be generated is pre-computed and stored. This pre-computation may be performed in a power on phase of the memory system. When a request to perform a memory operation is received, the stored information may be accessed and used to generate the CTC signals to control the memory operation. Thus, considerable time and/or power is saved. Note that this time savings occurs each time the memory operation is performed. Also, power is saved due to not having to repeatedly perform the computation.

A simultaneous capacitor bank discharge forms and axially drives a plasma sheath, featuring an azimuthal magnetic field, toward the fan-spine magnetic null that forces the diffusion of magnetic flux through the plasma. This magnetic to plasma kinetic energy conversion process accelerates charged particles far away from the reconnection region along open magnetic field lines.
