Abstract: Disclosed herein are processes for preparing a resin-extended rubber by mixing at least one thermoplastic resin with a resin-rubber-solvent cement comprising at least one conjugated diene monomer-containing rubber and the resin-extended rubber resulting from such processes. Also disclosed is a resin-extended rubber-solvent-cement comprising at least one conjugated diene monomer-containing rubber, at least one non-polar solvent, and at least one thermoplastic resin as well as a rubber composition comprising a resin-extended rubber.

Abstract: A personal vaporizer comprises structure enabling a user to control the configuration of the vaporization chamber in which vaporizing media is atomized. In some embodiments, a personal vaporizer has an atomizer module having a heating element and a bowl for receiving vaporizing media. An adapter module is releasably attached to the atomizer module so as to be adjacent the bowl. The adapter module receives and holds a plug that can be advanced toward and away from the heating element so as to selectively change the configuration of the vaporization chamber, which is defined between the heating element and a distal end of the adapter plug.

Abstract: A vehicle, radar system for the vehicle and method of operating the vehicle is disclosed. The radar system includes a transmitter, a receiver and a processor. The transmitter transmits a source signal into a region proximate the vehicle. The receiver receives a reflected signal formed by reflection of the source signal from an object in the region. The processor obtains non-linear terms of a phase from the reflected signal and resolves a Doppler ambiguity of the object using the non-linear terms. A navigation system navigates the vehicle with respect to the object based on the resolved Doppler ambiguity.

Abstract: Described herein are techniques for providing guide-assisted virtual experiences. A virtual experience operator provides participants with the opportunity to engage in virtual experiences at physical locations managed by the operator. These physical locations enable participants to engage with any of a variety of virtual realities provide by the operator—for example, participants may find them themselves in a virtual reality ghost-hunting mission, as a team of fictional soldiers on a mission to retrieve important cargo in outer space, in a horror-type experience at a deserted world's fair, within a number of arcade games, among other possible types of virtual experiences. Participants' engagement with such virtual experiences can be enhanced with the use of human “guides.” These guides represent employees or other affiliates of a virtual experience operator trained to help guide participant teams through some or all of a virtual experience and related phases at a virtual experience location.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including an apparatus for transferring data using multiple buffers, including multiple memories and one or more processing units configured to determine buffer memory addresses for a sequence of data elements stored in a first data storage location that are being transferred to a second data storage location. For each group of one or more of the data elements in the sequence, a value of a buffer assignment element that can be switched between multiple values each corresponding to a different one of the memories is identified. A buffer memory address for the group of one or more data elements is determined based on the value of the buffer assignment element. An example apparatus includes a defect analyzer to identify a suspect time window in tuning volume data of return path data reported by set top boxes. The example apparatus further includes a return path data transformer to identify a first return path data entry indicating a first set top box reported a first transition to an off state at a first time during the suspect time window and to modify the first return path data entry to (1) eliminate the first transition to the off state at the first time and (2) assign the first return path data entry a first duration to remain in an on state after the first time, where the first duration is determined based on monitoring data reported from media device meters monitoring media presentation devices.

Customer evaluation data is generated pertaining to the eye-care practitioner's evaluation of the customer examination data. An eye health report is provided to the customer via the network.

The rotor may be attached to a drive shaft for concurrent rotation therewith. The rotor may be moved axially along an axis of rotation of the drive shaft between a pumping mode position and a heating mode position. The second distance may be greater than the first distance.

Abstract: The present disclosure generally relates to an elbow arthoplasty prosthesis that includes an ulnar component, a humeral component, one or more articulation liners, and a retention trap. The ulnar component includes a spherical bearing head that can be inserted into the humeral component in a number of orientations. The articulation liners and the retention trap are operatively engaged to the humeral component to retain the ulnar component within a humeral socket. The present disclosure also relates to methods of assembling and implanting the prosthetic device.
