    Abstract: A system includes a three-way catalyst (TWC) sulfur load module, a cylinder/fuel cutoff module, a fuel control module, and a valve control module. The TWC sulfur load module is configured to determine an amount of sulfur deposited on a three-way catalyst of an engine in a vehicle. The cylinder/fuel cutoff module is configured to determine whether to enable deceleration cylinder cutoff (DCCO) based on the amount of sulfur deposited on the three-way catalyst. The fuel control module is configured to control a fuel injector to selectively stop fuel injection in the engine when DCCO is enabled. The valve control module is configured to selectively maintain intake and exhaust valves of the engine in a closed position when DCCO is enabled.

    Abstract: A composition/vaccine to intensify and expand the magnitude of the host immune response against the Ag 85 and ESAT6 proteins thereby blocking the inhibitory effect of these two classes of secreted proteins, and thus promoting the clearing or control of the MTb infection. Fusion proteins are created between immunogenic fragments of the soluble secreted MTb proteins Ag 85 and ESAT6 (which are inhibitors of the immune response) and the extracellular domain (ecd) of the immunostimulatory protein ecdCD40 ligand (ecdCD40L). Fusion proteins are created using both Ag85 and ESAT-6 immunogenic peptides and ecdCD40L, to induce a more potent immune response against the MTb than would the use of either protein (Ag85 or ESAT-6) alone. Both a humoral and cellular immune response are induced. The composition/vaccine further avoids the requirement for use of attenuated strains of the tubercle bacillis, to induce an immune response to the Ag85 and ESAT6 proteins.

The alloy is well suited for operations in which little or no dilution from the base metal affects the Si and/or Mg content of the filler metal. The Si content promotes fluidity and avoids stress concentrations and cracking. The Mg content provides enhanced strength. Resulting joints may have a strength at least equal to that of the base metal with little or no dilution (e.g., draw of Mg). The joints may be both heat treated and artificially aged or naturally aged.
