Abstract: An e-commerce search ranking system is provided and generally includes a server (e.g., application server), a database, and a customer computing device. The server can obtain user search query listings associated with a search term of users' search sessions to determine user engagement of the items. The server also determines that the items, and any items appearing before the items in each user search query listing, were examined. The server can then aggregate the information in the database. The server can also determine additional search terms related to the search term of the users' search session, and obtain user search query listings for the additional search terms. The server can determine user engagement for items appearing in those user search query listings, and can aggregate that information in the database as well. The aggregated information can be used to determine a final item ranking for a search request inquiry.

Abstract: A pneumatic articulating structure includes a plurality of tiles, a flexible cover, and a plurality of resiliently flexible hinges. Each tile has a first surface and a second surface facing in opposite outward directions. An area of at least one respective first surface is greater than an area of at least one respective second surface. The cover is constructed to cover the tiles. The second surface of each one of the tiles is attached to the cover. Each tile is engaged to an adjacent tile by a respective hinge, and are proximate to the first surface. A vacuum chamber is define by at least the plurality of tiles and the flexible cover.

Abstract: Various embodiments relate generally to data science and data analysis, computer software and systems to provide a platform to facilitate implementation of an interface as a computerized tool, among other things, and, more specifically, to a computing and data platform that implements logic to facilitate moderation of electronic messages, electronic postings, content, etc., via implementation of a moderator application configured to, for example, perform an action automatically. In some examples, a method may include activating at least a portion of a moderator application, receiving a user input signal configured to cause presentation of an electronic message at a user interface as a computerized tool, detecting subsets of values of a user input signal, assigning one or more states to an electronic message, and causing execution of instructions to perform a moderated action automatically responsive to transitioning an electronic message from a first state to a second state.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides for creation of a test tool that uses publicly available SIM information to generate and load a test eSIM profile to eUICC. The test profile mirrors the non-sensitive network attach mechanisms for any given MNO to work in a predefined lab environment with network emulator. The test eSIM profile is not limited to use with to the SIM's specific OS and hardware. Rather, the eSIM profile package format is a publicly defined file format designed to be interoperable in all eUICC capable mobile devices. The test tool described herein may therefore eliminate bottlenecks and external dependencies faced by manufacturers and MNOs by allowing manufacturers and MNOs to validate profiles, networks, and devices for a wide variety of configurations.

Abstract: Systems and methods for operating an engine that includes an oxygen sensor and one or more fuel injectors for each engine cylinder are described. In one example, lines describing a relationship between a fuel mass multiplier and a coefficient of a function describing output of an oxygen sensor to a step change in fuel mass are a basis for determining air-fuel imbalance of engine cylinders.

Abstract: A push button slide mechanism, includes an outer member having a bottom wall and an upstanding side wall. The outer member defines at least one pair of holes through the upstanding side wall. The mechanism includes an inner member having a top plate and a bottom plate defining a single annular channel therebetween. The single annular channel receives an elongated member in all rotational positions of the inner member relative to the outer member. A spring member spring-biases the outer member relative to the inner member. Pressing the inner member toward the outer member against the spring forces of the spring causes the single annular channel to align with the holes through the upstanding side wall of the outer member.

Abstract: A thermal stabilization vessel may include a double walled tube. The tube may have an outer wall, an inner wall, and a sealed off volume located between the inner and outer walls. A removable base may close off a bottom opening of the tube and conduct heat to or from a container placed within the vessel. A top may partially close off a top opening of the tube. The top may include an annulus of elastomeric material. The annulus may have a plurality of resilient tabs extending radially inward toward a central axis of the tube. When a container such as a bottle of wine is placed within a vessel, the tabs of the annulus may resiliently deflect as needed to accommodate the container and then restrict air exchange between an ambient environment and a space located interior to the inner wall of the tube and exterior to the container.

Abstract: An alternating stack of insulating layers and spacer material layers is formed over a substrate. At least one dielectric material portion is formed over the substrate adjacent to the alternating stack. Memory stack structures are formed through the alternating stack. A trench extending through the alternating stack and a via cavity extending through the at least one dielectric material portion are formed using a same anisotropic etch process. The via cavity is deeper than the trench and the via cavity extends into an upper portion of the substrate. The sacrificial material layers are replaced with electrically conductive layers using the trench as a conduit for an etchant and a reactant. A trench fill structure is formed in the trench, and a via structure assembly is formed in the via cavity using simultaneous deposition of material portions. A bonding pad may be formed on the bottom surface of the via structure assembly.

Abstract: A water treatment system includes an adsorption column including granular activated carbon (GAC) that adsorbs contaminants from untreated water onto the GAC, thereby producing treated water, a first electrode disposed at a proximal side of the adsorption column, with a gap between the first electrode and the GAC, a second electrode disposed at a distal side of the adsorption column, a drain outlet in fluid communication with the adsorption column for draining water out of the adsorption column, a gas inlet in fluid communication with the adsorption column for injecting a displacement gas into the adsorption column, a high voltage power supply electrically connected to one of the first electrode and the second electrode for generating a plasma discharge within the GAC, thereby regenerating the GAC within the adsorption column, and a gas outlet in fluid communication with the adsorption column for venting waste gas produced by the plasma discharge.

Abstract: An aircraft includes a fuselage, an engine exhaust port extending through the fuselage, an air intake extending through the fuselage forward from, and adjacent to, the engine exhaust port, and an air cleaning assembly positioned over the air intake. The aircraft also includes a pressure recovery device including an outer wall positioned above the air cleaning assembly. A distance from a forward edge of the outer wall to the air cleaning assembly is greater than a distance from an aft edge of the outer wall to the air cleaning assembly. An inlet flow axis is defined normal to a cross-sectional flow area of the pressure recovery device at the forward edge, and is oriented upward at an acute angle relative to a longitudinal axis of the aircraft.

Abstract: A system including a non-circular coupler, a sensor, a memory module, and a processor module is provided. The sensor includes a transmitter coil adapted to be energized by a high frequency current source and at least two receiving coils. One of the receiver coils generate a sine-like function output signal and the other generates a cosine-like function output signal upon rotation of the coupler. The memory module is operable to compensate for non-sinusoidal output signals caused by a plurality of geometric errors and a gap between the coupler and the at least two receiving coils. The processor module configured to process the non-sinusoidal output signals from both the first and second receiver coils, determine an error in the non-sinusoidal output signals from both the first and second receiver coils, mathematically compensate the assembly to eliminate the error and generates an output signal representative of the rotational position of the coupler.

Abstract: A communication system provides secure communication between two nodes in a self-organizing network without the need for a centralized security or control device. A first node of the two nodes is provisioned with one or more security profiles, auto-discovers a second node of the two nodes, authenticates the second node based on a security profile of the one or more security profiles, selects a security profile of the one or more security profiles to encrypt a communication session between the two nodes, and encrypts the communication session between the two nodes based on the selected security profile. The second node also is provisioned with the same one or more security profiles, authenticates the first node based on a same security profile as is used to authenticate the second node, and encrypts the communication session based on the same security profile as is used for encryption by the first node.

Abstract: A resistance spot welding method may involve spot welding a workpiece stack-up that includes a steel workpiece and an aluminum alloy workpiece. A pair of opposed welding electrodes are pressed against opposite sides of the workpiece stack-up with one welding electrode contacting the aluminum alloy workpiece and the other welding electrode contacting the steel workpiece. The welding electrodes are constructed so that, when an electrical current is passed between the electrodes and through the workpiece stack-up, the electrical current has a greater current density in the steel workpiece than in the aluminum alloy workpiece to thereby concentrate heat within a smaller zone in the steel workpiece. Concentrating heat within a smaller zone in the steel workpiece is believed to modify the solidification behavior of the resultant molten aluminum alloy weld pool in a desirable way.

Abstract: An automated wash rig is disclosed for cleaning the interior of a freight container. The wash rig may be transported atop a mobile platform or carriage and inserted into the interior of the freight container. During the cleaning process, the wash rig may travel along the length of the floor of the freight container. Washers (e.g., spray nozzles) on the wash rig may be used to direct cleaning fluid at the surfaces of the interior of the freight container, while dryers (e.g., air knives) on the wash rig may be used to dry off those surfaces. As the wash rig traverses the entire length of the freight container, the entire interior of the freight container is washed and dried. The wash rig may also have ultraviolet (UV) lamps which can provide UV light to sanitize the interior of the freight container during this process.

Abstract: The disclosed anti-contagion facemask embodiments are a family of transparent facemasks that do not obstruct visibility of a person's mouth when worn. One problem with a typical, widely used, facemask is the difficulty in understanding a person speaking when they are wearing the typical facemask. Not only does the listener have to contend with the muffled speech of a person talking through a facemask, communication is made worse by covering up, or otherwise hiding the wearer's mouth and face with opaque filter material. Accordingly, some embodiments described herein present a clear/see-through filtration mask embodiment that does not visibly obstruct a person's mouth by providing a filtration system along or near the periphery of the facemask.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods related to a block-based processor core composition register are disclosed. In one example of the disclosed technology, a processor can include a plurality of block-based processor cores for executing a program including a plurality of instruction blocks. A respective block-based processor core can include one or more sharable resources and a programmable composition control register. The programmable composition control register can be used to configure which resources of the one or more sharable resources are shared with other processor cores of the plurality of processor cores.
