  • Patent number: 11089980
Abstract: To better understand the impact of glycemic events, some entities have begun examining the relationship between the blood glucose level and another physiological parameter. However, this relationship can be difficult to understand. Introduced here are computer programs and associated computer-implemented techniques for discovering glycemic events in a series of data values representative of blood glucose measurements and then altering the measurement schedule of a sensor capable of generating measurements in a dimension other than blood glucose based on the glycemic events. By altering the measurement schedule of the sensor, a diabetes management platform can better understand how, if at all, dimensions other than blood glucose are related to the glycemic health state of a subject whose blood glucose level is being monitored.

  • Patent number: 11092268
Abstract: Techniques for implementing a pipeline system including a pipe fitting, which includes a fitting shell that define a fitting bore and a tubing cavity around the fitting bore. The tubing cavity interfaces with pipe segment tubing to facilitate fluidly coupling the fitting bore to a pipe bore. The fitting shell includes a seal groove that is recessed into a fitting shell surface that facilitates defining the tubing cavity. The pipe fitting includes a belt seal having a multisided axial cross-section profile, in which the belt seal is to be disposed in the seal groove to implement a fitting seal in the pipe fitting that includes a protruding portion having a wedge-shaped axial cross-section profile that protrudes beyond the fitting shell surface into the tubing cavity to facilitate sealing a fluid conduit implemented in an annulus of the pipe segment tubing in the tubing cavity of the pipe fitting.

  • Patent number: 11095027
Abstract: Compressed closed circuit circularly polarized (CLCP) omni-directional antennas and methods of fabrication are described. Such an antenna reduces the size of conventional circularly polarized antennas while also allowing increased axial ratio. An antenna comprises a plurality of conductive elements at an angle of between 5 and 52 degrees spaced radially around a multi-element feed system. The multi-element feed system may be made from a PCB and fed from a coaxial cable. The plurality of conductive elements may contain between 2 and 8 individual conductive elements. Each element in the plurality of conductive elements is a closed loop. The antenna may be covered by a protective housing which may also further reduce the size of the antenna.

  • Patent number: 11092382
Abstract: A dual fluid heat exchange system is presented that provides a stable output temperature for a heated fluid while minimizing the output temperature of a cooled fluid. The heated and cooled fluids are brought into thermal contact with each other within a tank. The output temperature of the warmed fluid is maintained at a stable temperature by a re-circulation loop that connects directly to the mid portion of the tank such that the re-circulated fluid flow primarily warms only a re-circulation section of the tank. The other, lower flow rate, section of the tank may be positioned so that it has a cooler temperature and thus serves to increase the efficiency of the heat exchange by extracting extra heat energy out of the cooled fluid before it leaves the tank. Alternatively, the low flow rate section of the tank may be warmer than the re-circulated section, and thus allow the re-circulated section to be cooler than the output temperature of the warmed fluid.

  • Patent number: 11094189
Abstract: In certain embodiments, continuous adjustment of a normal state of a sensor and reducing false positive floor sensor alerts may be facilitated. In some embodiments, wavelength readings may be continuously obtained from a floor sensor. A normal state of the floor sensor may be continuously adjusted based on wavelength readings that fail to satisfy upper and lower wavelength thresholds of the continuously adjusted normal state. An event may be detected when one or more wavelength readings from the floor sensor satisfy the upper or lower wavelength thresholds of the continuously adjusted normal state. A number of wavelength readings that satisfy the upper or lower wavelength thresholds may be determined. A suspicious activity alert may be generated when the number of wavelength readings satisfies a predetermined count threshold.

  • Patent number: 11093895
Abstract: In some embodiments, methods and systems of managing bins audits in a stock room of a retail sales facility include generating at least one bin audit management factor for the bins at the retail sales facility. The bin audit management factor can include an amount of time a total number of products stored in the bin does not change; a number of times a one product is binned or picked from the bin, a number of products stored in the bin; and an accuracy percentage of a worker at the retail sales facility during a preceding audit of the bin. Based on whether the value of one or more of the bin audit management factors meets a predetermined threshold value that supports the auditing of a bin, an indication to a worker at the retail sales facility is generated as to whether that bin is to be audited or not.

  • Patent number: 11093342
Abstract: The present disclosure describes a technique for performing an efficient deduplication of compressed source data. The techniques may reduce the required storage footprint required for deduplication of compressed data. In order to reduce the storage size required, the system may perform additional decompression/recompression processes by identifying particular compression algorithms used by a source storage system. Once the compression algorithm is identified, the system may initiate decompression and then perform fingerprint analysis of the segment in the file of the uncompressed data. When a recovery process is initiated, the system may recompress the deduplicated data using the same compression algorithm used by the source storage system. Accordingly, the data recovery process may be performed in manner in which the client device receives restored data as expected and in the original compression format.

  • Patent number: 11093682
Abstract: A multi-threaded programming language and compiler generates synchronous digital circuits that maintain thread execution order by generating pipelines with code paths that have the same number of stages. The compiler balances related code paths within a pipeline by adding additional stages to a code path that has fewer stages. Programming constructs that, by design, allow thread execution to be re-ordered, may be placed in a reorder block construct that releases threads in the order they entered the programming construct. First-in-first-out (FIFO) queues pass local variables between pipelines. Local variables are popped from FIFOs in the order they were pushed, preserving thread execution order across pipelines.

  • Patent number: 11093870
Abstract: The techniques describe a tool that finds people to help answer a question that arises while a user is consuming content of a file. As the user consumes the content, the techniques identify a signal that indicates an issue (e.g., a question). The signal can be added or somehow inserted into the underlying content of the file based on user input. The techniques determine a portion of the content associated with the signal. The portion of the content, along with any other information provided via the user input, is analyzed to determine a context of the issue. For example, natural language processing techniques can parse text or speech to understand the subject matter. The techniques then access a resolution resource (e.g., a professional network) to identify people that are likely capable of providing assistance, and the people are suggested to the user.

  • Patent number: 11093163
Abstract: The disclosed technology generally describes separating types of data chunks in a copy-on-write/MVCC B+ tree, chunk-based data storage system, and also allocating the sizes of leaf chunks to be smaller than that of other (e.g., internal and root node) chunks. By having leaf chunks separate from node chunks, the probability of having a fully reclaimable (without copying) chunk is increased. Similarly, by having smaller sized leaf chunks relative to node chunks, the probability of having a fully reclaimable (without copying) leaf chunks is increased. The technology thus facilitates more efficient garbage collection.

  • Patent number: 11095643
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems and methods for identity authentication across multiple institutions using a trusted mobile device as a proxy for a user login. In one example, the operations include identifying a request to trust a particular user associated with a first entity in a digital ID network. A set of personally identifiable information (PII) associated with the user is obtained via the first entity and an identity verification (IDV)/fraud risk analysis is performed. In response to satisfying the analysis, instructions are transmitted to the user to verify the identity via a mobile trust application on an associated mobile device. Upon verification, the mobile device is bound to the user within the digital ID network along with a digital ID associated with the particular user. The digital ID can be used by other entities registered within the digital ID network to authenticate the user.
