  • Patent number: 11090711
Abstract: A method of freeze-drying comprising rapidly freezing either liquid or supercritical carbon dioxide in and around a material having pores at a rate of at least 0.2° C./min to limit the size of crystals formed from the carbon dioxide so as to avoid the formation of gas bubbles and damage to the pores and exposure of the material to gas-liquid interfaces. During freezing a solid layer primarily of solid carbon dioxide is formed on and surrounding the material by transferring heat with a cryogenic liquid circulating about the material. This solid layer protects the material from gas-liquid interfaces and surface tension before decreasing pressure about the material by venting carbon dioxide.

  • Patent number: 11093237
Abstract: Software build isolation is provided. Systems, methods and computer-readable devices provide for receiving a request from a user who is a member of a team or group for allocation of a machine from a pool of machines. A determination is made as to whether a limit has been reached on the number of machines available to the team or group. If the limit has not been reached, the machine is provisioned and the user is notified that the machine has been provisioned and allocated to the user. In addition, in response to receiving a notification that an asset is ready for backup, an asset is replicated on an archive server. Dependencies of the asset on dependent assets are determined and the dependent assets are replicated on the archive server.

  • Patent number: 11091826
Abstract: A metal microparticle coated with metal hydride nanoparticles is disclosed. Some variations provide a material comprising a plurality of microparticles (1 micron to 1 millimeter) containing a metal or metal alloy and coated with a plurality of nanoparticles (less than 1 micron) containing a metal hydride or metal alloy hydride. The invention eliminates non-uniform distribution of sintering aids by attaching them directly to the surface of the microparticles. No method is previously known to exist which can assemble nanoparticle metal hydrides onto the surface of a metal microparticle. Some variations provide a solid article comprising a material with a metal or metal alloy microparticles coated with metal hydride or metal alloy hydride nanoparticles, wherein the nanoparticles form continuous or periodic inclusions at or near grain boundaries within the microparticles.

  • Patent number: 11093340
Abstract: Systems and methods for performing backups including incremental backups are provided. A change log is provided. The change log includes a map file that includes a bit for each inode in a file system. The bits are set on certain file events. The map file allows the files to be included in the next backup to be identified without having to trawl the entire file system. The change log also includes a data file that lists actual changes to the various files in corresponding records that are indexed by the inode number. The change log can enable faster incremental backups in part by eliminating unnecessary disk access requests.
