Abstract: A vehicle hitch assistance system includes a controller acquiring data from an external portable electronic device including position and orientation data of a trailer, including a coupler thereof, and deriving a vehicle path to align a hitch ball of the vehicle with the coupler using the position and orientation data of at least one of the trailer and the coupler.

Abstract: A virtual reality device can implement varying interactive modes for document viewing and editing by displaying, at an application container level, a current mode view in a view frame of the virtual reality device; and in response to receiving an overview command trigger, determining context, including that the current mode view is at the application container level; expanding to a next level view of, e.g., a task level or an overview level; and displaying, at a next level, the next level view in the view frame of the virtual reality device. The current mode view of the application container level includes a container space of an application and an application container level rule for the container space. Conversely, the virtual reality device can adjust the next level view back to the application container level in response to a focused command trigger and identified region of interest.

Abstract: An apparatus is configured to identify a storage volume to be added to a consistency group for replication from a source storage system (“source”) to a target storage system (“target”), to generate a snapshot of the storage volume, to create a dummy volume on the target, to copy the snapshot to the dummy volume, and to add the storage volume to the consistency group. In conjunction with replication of the consistency group from the source to the target, a determination is made for each of a plurality of data pages of the storage volume whether or not the data page already exists in the target as part of the dummy volume. For at least one data page that already exists in the target as part of the dummy volume, a reference count is incremented in the target for that data page instead of copying that data page from the source.

An outer member mounted to the inner member defines an arcuate upper edge having a curvature that substantially matches a curvature of at least a first upper portion of a wheel opening in the vehicle. Abstract: An information processing method that includes acquiring access information related to an access performed via an interface, the access information including an action identifier of an action to be executed via the interface, a response identifier for an execution result of the action, and an interface identifier of the interface. The method further includes determining, based on the action identifier, the response identifier, and the interface identifier, a target access identifier corresponding to the access information. The method further includes determining, based on the access information, time information associated with the access. The method further includes storing the target access identifier and the time information in an associated manner. Through this method, the recorded amount of data information is reduced, and disk space requirements and network transmission loads are lowered.

Abstract: A vehicular lighting assembly (and methods of making the same) that includes a parabolic reflector; a translucent lens element; and a light source configured to emanate light that strikes an interior surface of the reflector and exits the assembly through the element. Further, an interior surface of the lens element comprises one or more fluted regions that are substantially invisible and configured to refract light from the source away from oncoming vehicles. In addition, the fluted region can be within, on, or integral with, the interior and/or exterior surfaces of the lens element in certain configurations.

Abstract: Techniques detect incomplete write of data. The techniques involve obtaining metadata associated with a sector in a parity disk of a Redundancy Array of Independent Disks (RAID), wherein the metadata includes a sequence stamp and a partial write flag, the sequence stamp changing with a write operation on a stripe to which the sector belongs, and the partial write flag indicating whether the stripe is partially written. The techniques further involve determining whether incomplete write of data is present in the RAID based on the metadata, and the techniques further involve in response to determining the incomplete write of the data being present in the RAID, rebuilding at least one disk in the RAID. By adding a sequence stamp and a partial write flag in the metadata of the sector of the RAID, incomplete write of data can be detected more accurately, thereby improving the reliability of RAID.

Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide a massager for massage and stimulation. The massager in accordance with disclosed embodiments can operate in a massage mode, or a vibration mode. The massage mode is a low-speed mode of operation. The vibration mode is a high-speed mode of operation. In some embodiments, the massager may alternate between a massage mode and a vibration mode. In this way, the massager of disclosed embodiments can perform a motion that more closely mimics human finger motion while in the massage mode, and can create a sensation of a traditional vibrator in the vibration mode. In some embodiments, the massager may alternate between a massage mode and a vibration mode to create an enhanced user experience.

In one example, cloud resources and related data are discovered, a database of the discovered information is generated, machine learning is applied to the database to build a prediction model, and tags for the resources are recommended, based on the prediction model, at a computing device.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to systems and methods for implementing rich data types in a spreadsheet application. Generally, a value being of a rich data type is as a type of value that has context and established relationships with other types of data. In particular, a rich data type is a data value having associated context, which may be units (e.g., inches, miles, meters, kilograms, seconds, joules, hertz, Fahrenheit, etc.) or other information about the data's type (e.g., city, stock, NCAA football team, car, restaurant, school, etc.). Additionally, a value being of a rich data type further includes established relationships with other types of data.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for applying a unifying visual effect, such as posterization, to all or most of the visual elements in a film. In one implementation, a posterization standard includes a line work standard, a color palette, a plurality of color blocks characterized by one or more hard edges, and a gradient transition associated with each of the hard edges. The visual elements, including live actors and set pieces, are prepared in accordance with the posterization standard. The actors are filmed performing live among the set pieces. The live-action segments can be composited with digital elements. The result is a combination of both real and stylized elements, captured simultaneously, to produce an enhanced hybrid of live action and animation.

Abstract: Alumina support compositions comprising at least 0.1 wt % of silica are disclosed. The alumina support are characterized by a pore volume of greater than 0.60 cc/g, a median pore size ranging from about 70 to about 120, a pore size distribution such that at least 90% of the total pore volume falls within the range of about 20 to about 250, and a pore size distribution width of no less than about 40. Alumina compositions of the present invention exhibit a primary peak mode at a pore diameter less than the median pore diameter. Also provided are catalysts made from the alumina supports, and processes of preparing and using the supports and catalysts.

Abstract: Innovations in motion estimation adapted for screen remoting scenarios are described. For example, a video encoder calculates a hash value for a current block in a current picture. The video encoder searches, subject to a spatial constraint, for a matching block in a reference picture (e.g., the previous picture in display order) based at least in part on the hash value for the current block. The spatial constraint defines a search area in the reference picture within which hash values for candidate blocks in the reference picture may be compared to the hash value for the current block. By using a spatial constraint to limit the range of the local hash-based motion estimation, the video encoder can speed up the motion estimation process while still considering the candidate blocks in the reference picture that are most likely to match the current block.

Abstract: Embodiments include a power conversion circuit comprising first and second semiconductor switches, and a drive circuit configured to create a period of operational overlap for the first and second switches by setting a gate voltage of the first switch to an intermediate value above a threshold voltage of the first switch, during turn-on and turn-off operations of the second switch. Embodiments also include a method of operating first and second semiconductor devices, comprising: reducing a gate voltage of the first device to an intermediate value above a threshold voltage while the second device is off; turning off the first device after the second device is on; increasing the gate voltage of the first device to the intermediate value while the second device is on; and fully turning on the first device after the second device is off.

Abstract: An apparatus for executing a direct transfer of a semiconductor device die from a first substrate to a second substrate. The apparatus includes a first substrate conveyance mechanism movable in two axes. A micro-adjustment mechanism is coupled with the first substrate conveyance mechanism and is configured to hold the first substrate and to make positional adjustments on a scale smaller than positional adjustments caused by the first substrate conveyance mechanism. The micro-adjustment mechanism includes a micro-adjustment actuator having a distal end and a first substrate holder frame that is movable via contact with the distal end of the micro-adjustment actuator. A second frame is configured to secure the second substrate such that a transfer surface is disposed facing the semiconductor device die disposed on a surface of the first substrate. A transfer mechanism is configured to press the semiconductor device die into contact with the transfer surface of the substrate.

Abstract: A device receives a request for information regarding a debt resolution plan available for a delinquent account. The request may include a first input indicating a payment amount, a second input indicating a payment frequency, and a third input indicating a payment start date. The device obtains account data associated with the delinquent account and determines, using a model, a score for the delinquent account based on the first input, the second input, the third input, and/or the account data. The score predicts a likelihood that the delinquent account will charge off within a predetermined time period. The device determines a plurality of plan parameters for an accelerated charge off plan when the score satisfies a threshold. The device transmits the plurality of plan parameters, receives an enrollment request, enrolls the delinquent account in the accelerated charge off plan, and performs one or more actions based on the enrolling.
