Abstract: A system, according to various embodiments, receives images such as photographs and videos from one or more portable computing devices associated with one or more individuals (e.g., construction workers or landscapers) while the portable computing devices are in a particular position within a particular location at a particular time. The system determines a virtual position within a 3-D representation of the particular location that generally corresponds to the particular position and combines the images with the 3-D representation to generate an enhanced 3-D representation of the particular location. This may allow, for example, owners of a particular property to track and quickly understand construction and landscaping work that has been done on their property and to easily contact those individuals regarding that work.

Abstract: An apparatus including a memory structure comprising non-volatile memory cells and a microcontroller. The microcontroller is configured to output Core-Timing-Control (CTC) signals. The CTC signals are used to control voltages that are applied in the memory structure. For example, CTC signals may be used to control the timing of voltages applied to word lines, bit lines, select lines, and other elements or control lines in the memory core. The microcontroller is configured to output CTC signals having many different variations under various modes/parameter conditions. The apparatus may include storage containing reaction data according to dynamic conditions. The microcontroller may be configured to lookup or compute the CTC signals based on the dynamic conditions and the reaction data. Various data storage formats are disclosed, which can be used to efficiently store many varieties of data with minimum usage of memory.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein that are capable of providing extensibility with regard to a context-aware digital personal assistant. For instance, a description of a capability of a target (e.g., a software target) may be received. Examples of a target include but are not limited to an application (e.g., a software application), a service, a bot, and a website. In a first example, a digital personal assistant may be caused to perform operation(s) based at least in part on a context of a user. In a second example, whether the digital personal assistant performs operation(s) that are configured to be triggered by first aspect(s) of the context of the user is controlled based at least in part on second aspect(s) of the context of the user. The operation(s) include notifying the user of the capability and/or implementing the capability on behalf of the user.

Abstract: A composition for lubricant formulations is disclosed. The composition may include hypochlorite, dimethicone, and an emulsifier for improvement of lubricity. Methods of making and using the lubricant formulations are also disclosed.

Abstract: System, including methods, apparatus, and kits, for bone fixation using a fixation device including a mounting portion and a fastener that attaches to the mounting portion. In some embodiments, the fixation device may include first and second mounting portions configured to be disposed across a bone from each other and secured with a fastener that extends from one of the mounting portions, through the bone, and to the other mounting portion. The system also may include a tool to facilitate installation of the fixation device.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to reduce false positive signature matches due to similar media segments in different reference media assets are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include a signature matcher to compare monitored media signatures with a library of reference media signatures, the monitored media signatures associated with monitored media, the library of reference media signatures including sequences of reference signatures associated with respective reference media assets. Disclosed example apparatus also include a match information identifier to identify a number of different matched reference media assets associated with ones of the sequences of reference media signatures that match a sequence of matched monitored media signatures.

The system utilizes a switching apparatus located in the tap of the dispensing unit that can selectively enable mechanical connection between the hand lever of the tap and the stem based on the information acquisitioned. Some embodiments include a hand tilt device for automatically controlling the flow of beverage, and a vessel tilt device to adjusting the tilt of the vessel so as to achieve a preferred pour.

Abstract: A harvesting apparatus adapted to harvest egg fluid from an avian egg is provided. Such an apparatus includes a frame. A harvesting assembly is operably engaged with the frame. The harvesting assembly includes a plurality of nozzles configured to remove egg fluid from an egg. The nozzles are configured to rotate from a vertically off-axis angled position toward a vertical position. A suction assembly is in fluid communication with the nozzles for harvesting egg fluid from an egg. An associated method is also provided.

Abstract: High-growth plant cultivation techniques are provided that create efficient, optimized growing conditions, including a high concentration of photosynthetically active radiation (“PAR”) in terms of photon flux density, and with extremely low heat. In some aspects of the invention, these techniques comprise a specialized growth chamber and a control system that promote an enhanced level of growth, particularly for autoflowering cannabis. In addition, aspects of the invention create an accessible, user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing new type of display for a plant, ideal for cultivating cannabis and, in particular, autoflowering cannabis. The unique combination of techniques set forth in the invention create high yields of cannabis plant matter (up to 3 or 4 times greater than other methods) in substantially less time (just 60 days from seed to harvest).

Abstract: A wheel alignment guide that provides a visual indication of the desired placement of an apparatus. The wheel alignment guide includes a body having an opening disposed therein. The wheel alignment guide is configured to surround a portion of the apparatus, such as a wheel, via the opening. In addition, the wheel alignment guide is adapted to rest on a ground surface, being held in place via a charge, such as an electrostatic charge created by static cling vinyl. A wheel of a medical device is disposed within the opening of the wheel alignment guide after a desired position of the medical device is selected. If the medical device is moved during a medical procedure, the medical device may be repositioned due to the placement of the wheel alignment guide. Accordingly, the wheel alignment guide eliminates the need for inefficient markers and potentially-dangerous adhesives, particularly in an operating room.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an activated composite web includes laminating a film layer to a nonwoven web to form a composite web, forming a plurality of apertured protuberances in the film layer, and passing the composite web through intermeshing elements to form an activated composite web. The intermeshing elements form a plurality of first lanes, with first widths, substantially unaffected by activation, and a plurality of second lanes, with second widths. The second widths are less than the first widths. Portions of the plurality of apertured protuberances define first apertures in the first lanes and second apertures in the second lanes. The cross-sections of the second apertures are larger than the first apertures. The first apertures have their major axes substantially aligned in the first direction while the second apertures have their major axis substantially aligned in the second direction. Abstract: A system for a vehicle includes a LIDAR sensor attachable to the vehicle and a puddle lamp fixed relative to the LIDAR sensor and oriented to project a light projection downward beside the vehicle. Abstract: Methods and apparatus for presenting data to a user with augmented reality headgear or augmented reality glasses that has been oriented in a direction based upon unique automated generation of a vector are described. Systems for determining a direction of interest are based upon orientation of an apparatus. Data collection systems such as cameras, stereoscopic cameras, and scanner systems may be included in the augmented reality gear. In combination with a geospatial position, the direction of interest may be referenced in the provision of content via a user interface displayed in a worn augmented reality gear of the user at the site of interest. Updating of model data may be coordinated through the interface of an oriented augmented reality headgear with data collection systems.
