Abstract: A display device includes a frame, a display, an optical assembly, and a display-moving assembly connected to the display and the frame. The display-moving assembly is configured to move the display between multiple different positions, including a first position and a second position. When the display is in the first position, the display is configured to output image light in a first direction. The first direction is substantially parallel to an optical axis of the optical assembly. When the display is in the second position, the display is positioned away from the optical axis of the optical assembly.

Abstract: Read error mitigation in solid-state memory devices. A solid-state drive (SSD) includes a read error mitigation module that monitors one or more memory regions. In response to detecting uncorrectable read errors, memory regions of the memory device may be identified and preemptively retired. Example approaches include identifying a memory region as being suspect such that upon repeated read failures within the memory region, the memory region is retired. Moreover, memory regions may be compared to peer memory regions to determine when to retire a memory region. The read error mitigation module may trigger a test procedure on a memory region to detect the susceptibility of a memory region to read error failures. By detecting read error failures and retirement of a memory regions, data loss and/or data recovery processes may be limited to improve drive performance and reliability.

Abstract: The present invention concerns surveillance systems that flag the potential threats automatically using intelligent systems. It can then notify or automatically alert the security personnel of impending dangers. Such a system can lower the cognitive load on the security personnel and can assist them to bring to prioritize their attention to potential threats and thereby improve the overall efficiency of the system. There could also be savings in labor cost.
Abstract: A micro power distribution box is provided which includes a device, a connector/housing and a cover. The device has a substrate, at least one first finger, at least one second finger, and at least one electrical component. The at least one first finger and the at least one second finger are electrically connected to one another. The at least one first finger has first, second and third portions. The at least one second finger has first and second portions. The substrate is overmolded to the first portions of the at least one first and second fingers. The substrate is not overmolded to the second portions of the at least one first and second fingers or to the third portion of the at least one first finger. The second portions of the at least one first and second fingers extend outwardly from the substrate. The second portion of the at least one first finger is a high current contact. The second portion of the at least one second finger is a contact pin.

Abstract: An integrated renewable energy source (RES) and energy storage system (ESS) facility configured to supply power to an AC electrical grid includes energy storage system capacity and inverter capacity that are larger than a point of grid interconnect (POGI) limit for the facility, enabling high capacity factors and production profiles that match a desired load. At least one first DC-AC power inverter is associated with RES, and at least one second AC-DC power inverter is associated with the ESS. AC-DC conversion is used when charging the ESS with RES AC electric power, and DC-AC conversion utility is used when discharging ESS AC electric power to the electric grid. Aggregate DC-AC inverter utility exceeds the facility POGI limit, and excess RES AC electric power may be diverted to the second inverter(s).

Abstract: The object of the present invention is to improve production efficiency of lithium hydroxide anhydride in a method for producing lithium hydroxide anhydride from lithium hydroxide hydrate by using a rotary kiln. The method for producing lithium hydroxide anhydride comprises steps of: supplying the lithium hydroxide hydrate to a region between a heating part which is the part of the furnace core tube surrounded by the heating furnace and one end of the furnace core tube; delivering the supplied lithium hydroxide hydrate toward the other end of the furnace core tube; feeding a drying gas with a temperature of 100° C. or higher to the region between the one end and the heating part of the furnace core tube, when the lithium hydroxide hydrate is supplied; and heating and dehydrating the lithium hydroxide hydrate by the heating furnace which is set to 230-450° C. during the lithium hydroxide delivering step, to form lithium hydroxide anhydride.

Abstract: The breastfeeding device present in the invention, simulates natural breastfeeding experience and delivers fluid, milk or infant formula to the nursing infant in a contactless or latch free manner than any prior art in this field. This device integrates physical sensors to the breastfeeding device and includes a neck strap, refillable housing chamber that contains fluid, a tubing that connects the housing chamber to a prosthetic nipple via a sealing attachment and a prosthetic nipple for infant latching to nurse. The invention is a notable step forward in creating an effective, safe and contactless nursing which mitigates and prevents bruised, sore nipples or engorged breasts.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a metal-organic framework composition, as well as constructs and methods thereof. In one particular example, the composition is employed to degrade a chemical agent in a non-aqueous environment.
