  • Patent number: 11074187
Abstract: Techniques manage addresses in a storage system. In such techniques, an address page of an address pointing to target data in the storage system is determined in response to receiving an access request for accessing data in the storage system. A transaction for managing the address page is generated on the basis of the address page, here the transaction at least comprises an indicator of the address page and a state of the transaction. A counter describing how many times the address page is referenced is set. The transaction is executed at a control node of the storage system on the basis of the counter. With such techniques, the access speed for addresses in the storage system can be accelerated, and then the overall response speed of the storage system can be increased.

  • Patent number: 11075589
Abstract: Current imbalances between parallel switching devices in a power converter half leg are reduced. A gate driver generates a nominal PWM gate drive signal for a respective half leg. A first feedback loop couples the nominal PWM gate drive signal to a gate terminal of a respective first switching device. The first feedback loop has a first mutual inductance with a current path of a first parallel switching device and has a second mutual inductance with a current path of a second parallel switching device. The first and second mutual inductances are arranged to generate opposing voltages in the first feedback loop, so that when all the parallel switching devices carry equal current then the voltages cancel.

  • Patent number: 11076181
Abstract: A system and corresponding method facilitate resolution of discontinuities in manifest files used in the distribution of stored content. Resolution of discontinuities includes identifying each of a discontinuity in a first manifest file and a corresponding entry in a second manifest file for the same or substantially similar content segment stored at a different location. A combined manifest file is then generated by inserting the entry of the second manifest file or otherwise inserting the location information of the second manifest file entry into the first manifest file. The systems and methods herein may be implemented at various locations within a system for providing content to a client device and may be implemented at various times in the process of generating or distributing content.

  • Patent number: 11075851
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus include computer programs encoded on a computer-readable storage medium, including a method for providing content. A first call for content to be published on a resource associated with a publisher is received from a requesting device. A determination is made when the publisher has authorized additional content item calls to be automatically generated responsive to receipt of the first call. A first content item responsive to the first call is determined. A message including call parameters is generated that define publisher or serving system criteria for the additional content items. The first content item and message responsive to the first call are provided. A second call for content, in conformance with the call parameters, is received after processing the message. A second different content item that is responsive to the second call is provided for publication on the resource along with the first content item.

  • Patent number: 11073010
Abstract: A downhole valve assembly comprises a sleeve concentric with a housing and movable relative to a port through the housing to control flow of fluid through the port. A sensor assembly provides indicates the relative positions of the sleeve and housing, and comprises first and second sensors on e.g. the housing which detect markers on e.g. the sleeve. The sensor outputs are produced by processing (e.g. combining, integrating, summing, subtracting or otherwise processing) the signal components of each of the first and second sensors to correct for misalignment of the sleeve with the housing. The sensor output provides position information for more than one plane, and the output signal therefore allows for correction of errors in the position information arising from misalignment of the sleeve with the housing.

  • Patent number: 11072148
Abstract: Material for packaging—and package or receptacle made of such material—that contains a particular aluminized polymeric film with emissivity of equal to, or less than 0.10 and yet sufficiently thin to withstand and satisfy industrial requirements of the recycling process due to substantially complete oxidization of aluminum during the recycling. An optional protective coating (less than one micron in thickness) may be added to protect aluminum in the film from corrosion during the normal use of the packaging. Protective coating is configured to not raise emissivity of the aluminized surface above the 0.10 value and, at the same time, to still allow for the aluminum material it covers to be removed due to becoming fully oxidized and corroded in the heat and at humidity levels used in the recycling/repulping process. Proposed configuration permits the aluminum of the packaging material to be included in the recycled portion of the packaging material.

  • Patent number: 11075313
Abstract: A growth structure having a lattice transition (or graded buffer) or an engineered growth structure with a desired lattice constant, different from a lattice constant of conventional substrates like GaAs, Si, Ge, InP, under a release layer or an etch stop layer is used as a seed crystal for growing optoelectronic devices. The optoelectronic device can be a photovoltaic device having one or more subcells (e.g., lattice-matched or lattice-mismatched subcells). The release layer can be removed using different processes to separate the optoelectronic device from the growth structure, which may be reused, or from the engineered growth structure. When using the etch stop layer, the growth structure or the engineered growth structure may be grinded or etched away. The engineered growth structure may be made from a layer transfer process between two wafers or from a ternary and/or a quaternary material. Methods for making the optoelectronic device are also described.

  • Patent number: 11074137
Abstract: Techniques are described for exchanging files between users via a server environment that maintains copies of file system data from user computing devices. For example, the server environment can maintain a copy of file system data from the file system of a first computing device associated with a first user. The server environment can receive a file request from a second user that requests a file (e.g., by describing the file) from the first user whose files are backed up at the server environment. The server environment can send a request to the first user to approve the file request. After receiving approval, the server environment can send the file to the second user (e.g., as an automatic download to a computing device associated with the second user).
