  • Patent number: 11003837
Abstract: A document is represented as a node tree in a document processing system. Edits to a node are represented in a change record that has a one-way link to the node. A text mark has a one-way link to the change record. It deletes that link when the changes represented by the change record are reflected in the text mark. A memory management system releases the memory allocated to the change record when no other object links to it.

  • Patent number: 11003428
Abstract: A profile guided optimization compiler utilizes sample profile data including a control flow representation of a program having block counts associated with each basic block of the program, and edge counts associated with each control flow edge estimated from the block counts. The sample profile data utilizes correlation data to map the address of a sampled instruction from a fully optimized binary directly into a corresponding basic block of source code control flow of the program using a relative virtual address (RVA) that is associated with each source code basic block and the sampled instruction. The correlation data is able to differentiate multiple blocks on the same source code line and handle inlining and optimizations with greater precision and efficiency. The block counts are then used to guide the optimization of the program.

  • Patent number: 11005934
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for migrating data from a first storage system to a second storage system. That data is for a process (e.g., a virtual machine, application, or some other process) operating on a computer system that is separate from the first storage system and the second storage system. That data is stored according to data subsets that are each exclusive of each other. As each data set is migrated, access to the data set by the process is precluded, but access for the remaining data sets is not affected. Once the data migration is complete, access to the data set by the process is restored.

  • Patent number: 11005776
Abstract: Systems and methods for allocating resources are disclosed. Resources such as streams are allocated using restore credits. Credits are issued to the clients in a manner that ensure the system is operating in a safe allocation state. The credits can be used not only to allocate resources but also to throttle clients where necessary. Credits can be granted fully, partially, and in a number greater than requested. Zero or negative credits can also be issued to throttle clients. Restore credits are associated with reads and may be allocated by determining how many credits a CPU/cores can support. This maximum number may be divided amongst clients connected with the server.

  • Patent number: 11003554
Abstract: Techniques for providing metadata (and/or data) protection in a data storage system. The techniques can include storing, for a specific data page, two (2) instances of a main metadata page and one (1) instance of a corresponding alternative metadata page in a protected storage object referred to herein as the “2+1-way mirror”. For the specific data page, two (2) instances of a main metadata page can be stored on a first drive and a second drive, respectively, of the 2+1-way mirror such that the first and second drives each have a copy of the same main metadata page. Further, an instance of a corresponding alternative metadata page can be stored on a third drive of the 2+1-way mirror. The 2+1-way mirror provides protection against metadata loss due to the concurrent failure of two (2) physical drives, and further provides protection against catastrophic metadata errors and/or inconsistencies due to software failures.

  • Patent number: 11003928
Abstract: A system uses video of a vehicle or other object to detect and classify an active turn sign on the object. The system generates an image stack by scaling and shifting a set of digital image frames from the video to a fixed scale, yielding a sequence of images over a time period. The system processes the image stack with a classifier to determine a pose of the object, as well as the state and class of each visible turn signals on the object. When the system determines that a turn signal is active, the system will predict an action that the object will take based on the class of that signal.

  • Patent number: 11004000
Abstract: The technology relates to predicting that an object is going to enter into a trajectory of a vehicle. This may include receiving sensor data identifying a first location of the object in an environment of the vehicle at a first point in time and receiving sensor data identifying a second location of the object in the environment at a second point in time. In addition, a boundary of the trajectory is determined by defining at least a two-dimensional area through which the vehicle is expected to travel in the future. A first distance between the boundary and the first location and a second distance between the trajectory and the second location are determined. The first distance and the second distance are used to determine that the object is going to enter into the trajectory at a future point in time.

  • Patent number: 11006155
Abstract: Systems and methods for real-time incorporation of user-produced content into a broadcast media stream are provided. A media title may be streamed to a producer computing device over a communication network. The producer computing device is associated with a channel for distributing the user-produced content in conjunction with the media title. Produced content may be captured from the producer computing device as the streamed media title is played on the producer computing device. Such captured produced content may be designated for the channel. The media title and the produced content may then be broadcast in real-time over the communication network to one or more subscriber devices subscribed to the channel. The media title and the produced content may be synchronized within the broadcast to reflect when the produced content was captured in relation to the media title as the media title was played on the producer computing device.
