Abstract: Various devices, systems and methods for knotless suturing of tissue are disclosed. These devices allow sutures to be anchored to bone, and more specifically provide a suture anchor which eliminates the need for knotting the suture. Thus, damaged tissue may be re-attached to a substrate tissue. The anchors have a minimum of moving parts may be suited to being a single molded polymer construction. The anchors will find particular utility in hip and shoulder arthroscopy, e.g. labral re-attachment and similar procedures.

Abstract: A system for reversibly dividing a space is disclosed. A first panel consists of a first vertical member and a first horizontal member attached perpendicular to a bottom end of the first vertical member and extends away from the first vertical member towards a second panel. The second panel consists of a second vertical member and a second horizontal member attached perpendicular to a top end of the second vertical member and extends away from the second vertical member towards the first panel. The first and second panel can be stored in an overhead position. The space is reversibly divided when the first panel and the second panel are lowered. The first panel is lowered such that the first panel forms a top portion of a wall. The second panel is lowered until the second horizontal member rests on the first horizontal member, forming a bottom portion of the wall.

Abstract: A method of detecting a substance includes, for each position of a plurality of positions in a field of view of an environment: emitting from a light source a light beam including a predetermined wavelength that is absorbable by a constituent of the substance, controlling at least one mirror to direct the emitted light beam to the position in the field of view, detecting by a detector light resulting from the emitted light beam, and determining whether the constituent of the substance is present at the position in the field of view based on characteristics of the detected light; generating a detection map indicating a presence or an absence of the substance at the plurality of positions in the field of view of the environment; capturing, by an image capture device, an image of the environment; and identifying a portion of the captured image having the substance based on the detection map.
Abstract: An apparatus for detecting material within a sample includes a light emitting unit for directing at least one light beam through the sample. The at least one light beam has a unique signature combination associated therewith responsive to passing through the sample. A Raman spectroscopic unit receives the at least one light beam that has passed through the sample and performs a Raman spectroscopic analysis to detect a first signature associated with the sample. An infrared spectroscopic unit receives the at least one light beam that has passed through the sample and performs an infrared spectroscopic analysis to detect a second signature associated with the sample. A database includes a plurality of unique combinations of the first signature and the second signature. Each of the plurality of unique combinations of the first signature and the second signature are associated with a particular material.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method and apparatus for failover. In an embodiment is provided a method implemented at a first node in a cluster comprising a plurality of heterogeneous nodes. The method comprises: determining whether an application at a second node in the cluster is failed; and in response to determining that the application is failed, causing migration of data and services associated with the application from the second node to a third node in the cluster, the migration involving at least one node heterogeneous to the second node in the cluster. The present disclosure further provides a method implemented at the third node in the cluster and corresponding devices and computer program products.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing contextual information for a displayed resource. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a user device, a query-independent request for contextual information relevant to an active resource displayed in an application environment on the user device, identifying multiple search items from the content in the resource, determining a relevance score for each of the multiple search items, selecting one or more of the multiple search items based on the relevance scores, and providing, to the user device for each of the selected one or more multiple search items, a respective contextual user interface element for display with the active resource, where each contextual user interface element includes contextual information regarding the respective search item.

Abstract: A vibration damper system used in a food processor to reduce the vibration of a high power motor that has varying speed cycles is disclosed. The motor is suspended from a ceiling that is mounted to the motor base through a plurality of bolted joints. The bolted joints are surrounded by a grommet that has a unique shape. The grommet comprises generally three parts, which are an upper portion, a middle portion, and a lower portion. The middle portion is smaller than other portion so that it creates a recess for the ceiling to be sandwiched between the grommet. In a preferred embodiment, the lower portion of the grommet further comprises a plurality of petal members that provide a non-uniform spring rate to the grommet so that the grommet is adapted best to reduce the upward impulse of the motor. The food processor also contains a novel air ventilation system.
Abstract: A vaporizer device may include a plurality of cartridges with a plurality of aerosolization assemblies. The plurality of cartridges may include a suspension media and an additive media. The plurality of aerosolization assemblies may include pressurized cartridges connected to a nozzle having a nozzle opening of less than 20 micrometers.
Abstract: The invention provides methods and compositions, including, without limitation, algorithms, computer readable media, computer programs, apparatus, and systems for determining the identity of nucleic acids in nucleotide sequences using, for example, data obtained from sequencing by synthesis methods. The methods of the invention include correcting one or more phenomena that are encountered during nucleotide sequencing, such as using sequencing by synthesis methods. These phenomena include, without limitation, sequence lead, sequence lag, spectral crosstalk, and noise resulting from variations in illumination and/or filter responses.
Abstract: A data model can be generated by dualizing another data model. In other words, a first data model can be transformed into a second data model, wherein the second data model is a mathematical dual of the first data model. For example, a non-relational data model can be generated by dualizing a relational data model.
Abstract: Tools and techniques are described to automate triage of security and operational alerts. Insight instances extracted from raw event data associated with an alert are aggregated, vectorized, and assigned confidence scores through classification based on machine learning. Confidence scoring enables heavily loaded administrators and controls to focus attention and resources where they are most likely to protect or improve the functionality of a monitored system. Feature vectors receive a broad base in the underlying instance values through aggregation, even when the number of instance values is unknown prior to receipt of the event data. Visibility into the confidence scoring process may be provided, to allow tuning or inform further training of a classifier model. Performance metrics are defined, and production level performance may be achieved.
