Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for performing acoustic to word (A2W) speech recognition training performed by at least one processor. The method includes initializing, by the at least one processor, one or more first layers of a neural network with phone based Connectionist Temporal Classification (CTC), initializing, by the at least one processor, one or more second layers of the neural network with grapheme based CTC, acquiring, by the at least one processor, training data and performing, by the at least one processor, A2W speech recognition training based the initialized one or more first layers and one or more second layers of the neural network using the training data.
Abstract: Disclosed is a method including receiving, at a server and from a browser configured on a device, a request to access the server, the server being associated with a brick and mortar store, transmitting an interactive interface to the browser on the device, and receiving, from the browser on the device and via use of the interactive interface, data associated with a product in the brick and mortar store. The server transmits via a browser application programming interface that defines a protocol for communicating data between the server and the browser a request associated with a purchase of the product and receives according to the API authorized payment data. The user can scan products codes in the store using the interactive interface. The process eliminates the need for point of sale equipment and eliminates checkout lines.

Abstract: A filter composition effective in reacting with airborne or gaseous organic impurities, such as formaldehyde. The filter composition is formed from a filter substrate, such as for example, a fibrous web or extruded carbon block, treated with tris-(hydroxymethyl) aminomethane. The unexpected result of this combination is a longer lasting filter capable of adsorbing organic airborne impurities for a much longer period of time than an untreated filter media of the same type. The removal of formaldehyde is presented as an illustrious example.
Abstract: Navigation applications may utilize various input data to determine various navigation routes. One example method of operating may include providing at least one navigation instruction to a navigation device via a navigation application, detecting the at least one instruction via a detection application, obtaining an image of a physical object, performing a holo-acoustic object manipulation of the physical object, and providing a visual display of the holo-acoustic manipulation as an additional navigation instruction.
Abstract: Example methods, apparatus and articles of manufacture to provide media content are disclosed. Example apparatus disclosed herein include means for identifying primary media content presented on a first media presentation device. Disclosed example apparatus also include means for accessing a secondary content schedule associated with the primary media content. The secondary content schedule includes a plurality of secondary content items and time values associated with the secondary content items. The secondary content items are also associated with a loyalty value for a user of the first media presentation device. Disclosed example apparatus further include means for selecting one of the secondary content items to be accessed in response to a timestamp associated with the primary media content being between time values associated with the selected one of the secondary content items in the secondary content schedule.

Abstract: According to one configuration, a system includes user equipment in communication with a wireless base station. The user equipment receives a notification from a first wireless access point of multiple wireless access points. The notification indicates a set of candidate wireless access points in the wireless network environment in which to selectively perform a handoff from a first wireless access point. The user equipment monitors for occurrence of a trigger condition. In response to detecting a trigger condition, the user equipment identifies (such as selects) a second wireless access point (from the set of candidate wireless access points) in which to perform the handoff. Via communications from the user equipment to the second wireless access point, the user equipment initiates the handoff. The user equipment notifies the first wireless access point of the attempted and/or failed attempt of the handoff to the second wireless access point.
Abstract: Systems and methods for requesting, tracking and reporting modifications to a record are the subject of the present disclosure. In one embodiment, the record is associated with a customer-relationship management or CRM system. According to varying embodiments, the system and method may be implemented through the use of one or more modules and may permit one of several actions to be taken with respect to a record.

Abstract: A non-limiting embodiment of a titanium alloy comprises, in weight percentages based on total alloy weight: 2.0 to 5.0 aluminum; 3.0 to 8.0 tin; 1.0 to 5.0 zirconium; 0 to a total of 16.0 of one or more elements selected from the group consisting of oxygen, vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, chromium, iron, copper, nitrogen, and carbon; titanium; and impurities. A non-limiting embodiment of the titanium alloy comprises an intentional addition of tin and zirconium in conjunction with certain other alloying additions such as aluminum, oxygen, vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and iron, to stabilize the ? phase and increase the volume fraction of the ? phase without the risk of forming embrittling phases, which was observed to increase room temperature tensile strength while maintaining ductility.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices and computer program products for managing a redundant array of independent disks (RAID). The method comprises: in response to a number of a plurality of disks occupied by the RAID exceeding a first threshold, determining a first number of disk pairs to be disassociated among the plurality of disks, the first number of disk pairs at least comprising a first disk and a second disk associated with each other, and a first extent in the first disk and a second extent in the second disk being included in a same RAID extent of the RAID. The method further comprises determining a third disk for migrating at least one of the first extent and the second extent among the plurality of disks. Besides, the method further comprises migrating the at least one extent to the third disk to disassociate the first disk and the second disk so that a second number of disk pairs associated with each other among the plurality of disks is below a second threshold.
Abstract: In one general aspect, various embodiments are directed to an ultrasonic surgical instrument that comprises a transducer configured to produce vibrations along a longitudinal axis at a predetermined frequency. In various embodiments, an ultrasonic blade extends along the longitudinal axis and is coupled to the transducer. In various embodiments, the ultrasonic blade includes a body having a proximal end and a distal end, wherein the distal end is movable relative to the longitudinal axis by the vibrations produced by the transducer.
