  • Patent number: 11001167
Abstract: An occupant or object sensing system in a vehicle includes electrical circuits for capacitive sensing and corresponding circuits shielding the sensing system from interference. A sensing circuit and a shielding circuit may be printed by screen printing with conductive ink on opposite sides of a non-conductive substrate. The substrate is a plastic film or other fabric that has an elastic memory structure that is resilient to stretching. The conductive inks used to print circuits onto the substrate have a similar resilience to stretching such that the substrate and the circuits thereon can be subject to deforming forces without breaking the printed circuits. The substrate may be covered with a carbon polymer layer to provide alternative conductive paths that enable fast recovery for conduction in the presence of any break in the printed conductive traces on the substrate.

  • Patent number: 11003183
Abstract: According to one aspect, a set of driving scenes are defined including, but are not limited to, a driving straight scene, a turning scene, a nudge scene, and a lane changing scene. For each of the predefined driving scenes, a list of path segments corresponding to a set of one or more features (e.g., speed, curvature, turning radius, relative distance, lane width, etc.) are determined based on the driving statistics of a number of vehicles driving through the same or similar driving scenes (e.g., driving straight, making turns, changing lanes, nudging obstacles or another vehicle) in the past. The path segments are then stored in a driving scene-to-path (scene/path) data structure specifically configured for the corresponding driving scene. For example, there will be at least one scene/path data structure for each of the driving straight scene, turning scene, nudge scene, and lane changing scene.

  • Patent number: 11003833
Abstract: A layout engine generates a visual layout tree for a visual description tree of a document whose content is to be rendered in one or more display areas. A visual description tree describes the content of a document along with formatting and logical arrangement the content. Visual description nodes of a visual description tree represent the organization of the constituent elements a document hierarchically. A visual layout tree defines the layout of a document within one or more display areas. Visual layout nodes of a visual layout tree represent the layout of the content of a document hierarchically. The layout engine receives as input a visual description tree and generates the corresponding visual layout tree.
